Thought I would post some comments on this clinic. I was a bit hesitant at first because the polls didn't show as high numbers as I would have liked to have seen. But we got in 2 weeks after our referral so we were happy to take it.

Got there at 9:30am (appt was at 10am) and filled out forms. Turned out my DH's healthcard had expired 6 months before :wall: , and we had a good laugh with reception after they brought it up. They saw him anyway and just asked that he phoned in the new info when he got it. I also didn't drink enough water for my u/s so they waited for me, a whopping 35 mins while my bladder filled up, which was nice of them.

Had bloodwork done and the lady who does it was very nice and personable, joking around. Met with the doctor, Dr. Cooke and she was really personable and covered what our next steps will be and any questions I had. She also was truly interested in hearing about our losses and was very empathetic in consoling us.

She assured us that it doesn't sound like we have a fertility problem but she took us on anyways to run the OHIP covered tests and if ever we were to run into treatments afterwards as needed.

It is hard to understand the staff as their accents are very prominent so at times you feel a bit lost. But the meaning is there, they are very informative and tell you step by step how to proceed for testing dates etc etc.

Overall the experience was great and the atmosphere is very relaxed eventhough they went through about 12 couples in the time we were there. Our appt was scheduled for 10am and by 11:10am we were heading home. Great!

Hope this helps someone in the future... :)

I'd like to add now, we will be switching to another one. Its funny how nice they are to you for the first appointment but have since declined in their attitudes. I am amazed at the difference. Dr. Cooke reviewed the results with us and did not even offer a suggestion or tell DH how he can keep his count from lowering any more. She just showed a pamphlet for a vitamin that costs $80 per month in our hands and sent us on our merry way. We have to go to our family doctor to discuss all of our results because Dr. Cooke doesn't seem to have the time or the "I want to say" interest in her job?? We have been there for a few months now and still there is no sign of a next step. We just keep getting scheduled for follow ups that don't seem to happen. I feel like we have wasted all this time with them...

Also I would like to add that I finally got a cost list from them and they are by far the most expensive clinic in the Toronto area. I am not sure what the reasoning is behind this but it is almost double what other clinics in downtown Toronto are charging.

The one good thing is that the front desk and lab employees are quite nice and always smiling.

Hope this helps...

Didn't have a great experience with this clinic. It wasn't horrible, and the doctor wasn't unprofessional, but it was very difficult to get an appointment and I barely saw her. She seemed quite detached and eventually I left because it just didn't feel right and I didn't like her bedside manner. The clinic also made a few mistakes - and it really added stress to an already stressful situation. One error jeopardized my IUI (they forgot to tell me to stop taking my gonal-f after triggering) and that was pretty bad. Very efficient techs, kind and helpful secretaries and great lab employees though.
