I did IVF at Aurora in November and just wanted to wish you luck!! I hated being on BCP. It just made me feel so blah. Hoping for a BFP for you!

I was supposed to do superovulation with IUI in March but I'm in the tww for my last round of Letrozole so fingers still crossed for that - I'll be missing the window for this group and hubby is taking me on vacation in April because we both need it! Did either of you try the SO+IUI I'm skeptical especially with the 75 IU dose seeing as its taken MUCH higher doses of everything else for me to respond. Its all so confusing.

(btw first post not sure what I'm doing)

We skipped over superovulation. I didn't think it was worth it - especially since we live in regina and would have to drive for all the monitoring appointments. We also don't have any drug coverage at all. IVF is a higher success than superovulation, so if we were spending all the money on the drugs, I would rather be doing something with a higher success rate. We also have some male factor issues so we never had high hopes with IUI. We actually weren't going to do any IUI even, but timing was best for me to do IVF at the end of the year due to work. We did 3 IUI but if timing had been different we probably would have skipped on those too.... Good luck!!

Thanks for the response eyedoc, Dr. Gamelin suggested the SO + IUI and if we have more than 4 follies covert to IVF. I think I kind of have her a little stumped because my HSG was clean I have large follies on femara and strong progesterone numbers but no bfp.. I think she's got it in her head that his little guys just aren't getting to where they need to be which is strange because hubby's SA was outstanding excellent motility nearly triple the expected volume (tmi) he was practically praised by Dr. Cardoso hahagiggle.gif  (men are strange). I don't know if we'll be willing to continue with IUI if it doesn't work first try. I was considering going straight to IVF and she talked me down to SO+IUI (which I thought was strange) Fingers big time crossed.

do you know of anyone else out there going with Superovulation + IUI using Gonal F and hCG trigger? or anyone that has gone through it before?

Sorry I don't personally know of anyone who has done superovulation. Just regular IUI and IVF. I was on Gonal F 150 the entire time for my IVF. I responded really well (almost too well as I was at risk for OHSS). You just won't know how your body responds to the gonal until you get started. It can be a bit of a practice run for IVF if you end up needing it, as they will already know how you respond from the superovulation. Good luck!
