Hi all,

I am taking a break from TTC and IVF for the moment. I have one last try of IVF and just want to 'live' a little (at least a couple of months) since I feel like part of my life is on hold. Call me selfish but I need to be myself again and try again in the new year.

Doing more fitness regimes at the moment and started working on my abs. Since IVF, my body does not feel the same especially my tummy area...I guess all that stretching of my ovaries and tummy area during stims!

I have been doing some crunches and sit ups and I do feel some pain in the lower abs area but not sure if its due to not exercising this area for about a year.

Do you think ab exercises between IVF is a bad idea?

Appreciate any insight

Thanks

Daisyom

How long ago was your last cycle?  My ovaries were still swollen months after my transfer.  It may just be that things are not back to normal yet.  But, with any exercise you haven't done in a while, I would just take it easy so you don't inure yourself and slowly build back up to where you were.

daisyom-I admire your decision to live a little - not every day should be devoted to worrying about IF!

I think exercise between IVF is awesome! Beats sitting around and stressing and blobbing out!

Hi Amp77 , I got my BFN in Sept... third time stimming.  My stomach is still swollen. I don't think i'll ever get that flat look! Lol

I went to zumba yesterday for the first time before starting stims #3 and it felt great. :)

Still having some ab pains.... bit scared now. Decided to slow down on the situps and crunches for now as that has been a killer.

continuing with yoga. Have some ab exercises here so at least its not as intensive.

yoga has been great for me. It has helped me focus away from my problems, at least for an hour I can switch off from IVF.
