All these DO's and DON'Ts are so confusing! We all want this to work sooo much....:) We are ready to do almost anything, aren't we?:)

Jaymac: Happy AF showed up for you:)

Ollie: I may also transfer in January:) Or early February? I should know more soon. It's pretty exciting!!

Terapin: Crossing my fingers that your donor's tests come back looking great:)

All others: you have my most positive thoughts as well.

AFM It feels closer today as I got 2 calls for appts related to my treatment: an appt with a psychologist (apparently required to proceed) and one with a Dr specialized in blood clotting issues (I look kind of borderline on this. My FS wants his opinion.) On Monday, we'll check my lining... I hope it's ok. I could do without the estrogen patches... Today I wore pants with a button facing my belly and it got stuck under one of the patches...:) Had to deal with this in the middle of my work day.... It left sticky glue on my belly... Nice!! The kind of silly things that only seem to happen to me...:)

Hi all!
We leave Victoria tomorrow, and it's been great spending part of 2ww here. All my DH's relatives thought something was up when I didn't have wine first night we were here. They started guessing I am pregnant, so the entire 3 days here I've not helped do anything. Not even washing dishes! I've even napped on the couch, which normally would be considered very rude.
All in all I feel spoiled and loved and just hope there will be something inside to be excited about.

I plan on POAS Sunday morning - I just can't ruin our travel day tomorrow if it's negative (my intuition says it didn't work), but staying positive and hopeful.
Night,

Good morning! Connected with my clinic coordinator yesterday and the plan is for me to start the pill with my next cycle.  Yay progress!  We need to meet with the counsellor, too, and am working on getting that booked.

Starting on a care package for retrieval day for my donor.  Making her some wool socks for now.  Thinking tea and treats, and just nice things to have when she's relaxing on the couch or whatever.  A girl can't have too much chocolate!

Fingers crossed Fuelgirl!

Mama2b2014: The next 2 weeks will just fly by... You're almost there:)

Terapin: I love your care package idea! It's really sweet.

Fuelgirl: I've been thinking about you. I am worried we haven't heard from you... Crossing my fingers for you:)

AFM I had my US today and my lining had the 3 layers and was 11mm thick! Very happy:) I told the Dr who checked that I was grateful to finally get some good news! Now I am starting Provera so I can get my period. I wish this next cycle was the one, but it won't be as we are waiting for some results, to meet the psychologist, etc. If everything goes well, I expect the real cycle to start around January 10-15. Hope 2015 is the year for these much wanted babies (mine and all of yours) to finally come:)

Mama2b2014: I agree: I do think estrogen makes us emotional. I lost somebody very important to me at the end of the summer. I was very sad at first and then was doing pretty good until the last 10 days where I cried thinking of him on at least 3 different occasions...

lola- that is great news about your lining!! Nice to know that you are able to build it up. Yeah, I actually cried twice yesterday for absolutely no reason. Time has moved pretty quickly the last few weeks, probably due to the holidays. Hopefully it will fly by for you too :)

fuelgirl- how's it going? Just checking on you.

I asked my RE to order up autoimmune tests for me...just in case. You know how Dr. Google puts things in your mind. I've been reading up on Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome and how it can be the cause for miscarriages, both early and late. I just feel it's worth it to do a simple blood test when we have so much riding on this.

Hope everyone is doing well out there :)

Our chosen donor decided that an anonymous donation wasn't for her, and we do not want to do a known donation, so we released that donor. As it turns out her AMH is lowish for a donor (was less than 15 at 22 years of age). We moved on to another donor who is 30 but has a high AMH and has birthed two children herself. She's going in tomorrow for her new patient appointment which is sooner than the first donor could be seen. So boo, but then yay!

Hi everyone?
Sorry to worry you, but I don't have good news. My two hpt's were negative, so I'm going in tomorrow for blood work. I know in my heart it didn't work, but still need to be sure before grieving this cycle.
Looks like the embryos were too fragmented or not good enough quality to survive in me. We will have to see what Dr. Hudson says.

Good morning ladies,

Fuelgirl and Sami: Best of luck with your tests;)

Mama2b2014: Hope the estrogen is being nice to you

Ollie: Good luck with the new donor

AFM: Not thrilled with the nurse I've exchanged messages with. She said: "We are waiting for your biopsy results. They take 3-6 weeks to come (The Dr had said 3) so call us back at the end of January." End of January?? That's in 8 weeks! Sounds to me like she is ready to make me loose a month just not to check on a result that may not be out... It makes me angry. I'll take it into my own hands and make an appt just before Christmas. If the result isn't there yet, at least we can sort out the rest (prescriptions, explanations, etc) so we can get going on the first cycle after the result comes. Still hoping this happens in January.

Congrats Sami99 :-)

me 26, dh 32

ttc for almost 3 years

one ectopic pregnancy, lost one tube- 2013

one miscarriage- 2014

poor egg quality, unstable hormone levels. AMH dropped from 4 to 1.5 in 4 months.. had it retested and came back at 1.4

RE predicts that i will go through menopause around age 30..27 or 28. Suggests one round  of ivf and then it is time to move onto another option.

1st ivf booked to begin in september

Sept 17- B/w and U/S, Starting Stimulation

Clinic Error and IVF cycle cancelled in October- took some time to think about my options

November- Moving onto donor eggs-

donor #1 selected through little miracles

Dec 29- Lupron Injection

Jan 22- Estrace Started

Estimated Retrieval day for donor is Feb 6. 5 days into the cycle, donor was found to have cocaine and marijuana in her bloodstream- cycle cancelled.. heartbroken and very disappointed

Donor egg cycle round 2 - let's hope things go well this time!

Donor #2 selected... Retrieval in April!

Congrats Sami99! That is great news!

Fuelgirl: I hope you're doing ok, have been thinking about you, sending you a virtual hug.

Lola: That is so frustrating, that's good that you've got that appointment before Christmas. I think it does pay off when you advocate for yourself in the "system."

Mama2B: I hope you're hanging in there with the shots. It won't be long now.

For me, I hope to find out the end of this week the details of the next cycle. I've exchanged some emails back and forth with my nurse to figure out my ultrasound appts so I know when they are. I'm trying to juggle it around Christmas as my DH and I are thinking about going to New Orleans the few days before Christmas! That might be crazy but I was thinking it would be our last chance to get away for a few days. We've never been there and I feel I need to get away somewhere. We have Christmas obligations after Dec. 25th so I figured why not?!

My nurse indicated that the schedule would work around that and I'd get another period just prior to starting the medications with the transfer happening the week of January 12th.

Two back to back natural pregnancies with two miscarriages around week 8-9

Concluded poor quality eggs, nothing wrong with DH

Moved on to DE transfer

October, 2014: started protocol, thin lining therefore cancelled cycle in November

Have 5 mature frozen eggs.

Transferred 2 five day embryos on February 3. th_abfp.gif

Have one frozen embryo left.

March 10th: Saw one heartbeat measuring 7 weeks, 3 days

April 13th: 12 weeks, five days. Good results from initial NIPT.

October 7th: Arrival of Chloe via C-section at 37.5 weeks!

We are so fortunate!

yay sami!!!!!!! so happy for you :) I hope to feel what you are feeling in a few weeks!

lola- good girl. I like that you are thinking about having an active role in moving things along. Sounds like they could be giving themselves a buffer for the holidays. It seems like our clinics sometimes treat us like a statistic and don't realize that our dreams of having a child are all consuming.

fuelgirl- how are you doing sweetie? Did you get your beta results today? Thinking about you...

jaymac- what a great way to spend Christmas! Turn it into a mini vacation and enjoy yourself :)
