IUI#1 (February 2014) IUI with Femara and ?.  Two follicles but BFN.

IVF#1 (September 2014) (Femara/Reponex) 5 eggs retrieved (some discordant growth), 3 mature, none fertilized.

I despise the waiting! Going to use it to get myself optimally in health.  I used to run but was off over the summer and fall due to a foot fracture and tendonosis.  Starting back at it over the last few weeks.  After lunch I am heading out for 5-7k, depending on how my foot does.  Have been procrastinating the run all day:  baked bread, made soup, had a nap, knitted.  LOL  Lunch then run. :-)

I have quite of bit of weight to lose (like 40-50 pounds).  Hoping to lose 10 before my transfer.  Lost 60 pounds a year ago, but put back on 20 with the injury.  I'm using this time to get back to my best health.

We planned on staying in Victoria an extra 4 days after ET but since our donor was ready early, we stay an extra week!
I'm laying in the comfy couch with a hot water bottle on my belly and slippers! "Warm feet, warm uterus" theory. DH and donor, and her two little kids went to an Irish Catholic Church today, (we aren't religious, but felt lighting a few candles and a prayer doesn't hurt!) then touring around on her last day here.
It's nice to have alone time and catch up on some books I've been wanting to read. It's how I like to spend the 2ww.
Hope you all are having a fantastic day :)

Fuelgirl: I am happy to hear you transferred 3 little embies and are having a good time in Victoria.

Mama2b2014: thanks for sharing your experience with estrogen:) Your turn for the transfer is just around the corner:)

Jaymac: hope this new protocol does the trick for you:)

Terapin: I loooove running! I have been for about 10 years but never great distances, maybe 3-4 km. Just to maintain my health and help me relax... And have that special time just for myself... I had finally decided to work on increasing my distance last month... And was doing well... When I pulled a hamstring while trimming shrubs 2 weeks ago... :( I miss my runs and try to rest and ice my leg so I can go back to it soon... Enjoy it for me!:)

Good luck Fuelgirl.

AFM - 2 blasts transferred today.
Just relaxing for a few days now smile.png

TWO blasts? Hmmm you could end up like me lol!!

me - 45.5, husband - 43.5

1 natural pregnancy but m/c in June 2011

7 failed IUIs, 3 medicated and 4 non-medicated, all BFN

I was a poor responder to the meds, only produced 1 viable egg so I'm not a candidate for IVF

Suffering  deeply, watching all my friends get pregnant and raise kids.

No one in my immediate circle of friends and family who has gone through this so forums are amazingly helpful.

Dec 2013 - have chosen a donor with San Diego Fertility Center and have begun the process. If all goes well we'll get me preggo in April 2014. IF all goes well...

It DIDN'T go well - our donor failed her genetic testing. It took MORE exhausting searches 24/7 to find another we liked, and finally she's passed and good to go. IF all goes well we'll go down to SDFC mid-June 2014 for the egg transfer and get me pregnant..if all goes well...if... if... if... so many letdowns cannot allow me to be hopeful, just wait and see...

June 2014 Went to SDFC, everything went smoothly. Well, kind of...family stuff... but transfer went well

July 16 2014 did blood test...BFP th_abfp.gif Wow. First time, feeling a lot emotions and crying uncontrollably for last 48 hours.

Hoping it sticks. That's all for now.

Aug 11 first u/s - TWINS. omg....good size, good heartbeat. I'm terrified.

Thanks for the heads up mama2b2014: the heating pad was put on my abdomen on low as I was getting acupuncture post transfer(by Dr. H himself).
I asked about it, and he said 5 minute max, not too hot and only if I feel chilled. Which I have been with all the rain here! I didn't mean it was part of my after ET protocol- sorry for that!

Our donor went for her AMH test (she's brand new) and if that's all good next week they'll book her in for her new patient assessment. Hopefully it can be soon - I am dying of impatience :-)

As far as twins I have to say it would be fine for us. MENTS: my partner has twin girls already. END MENTS. We'd ideally like to have two together so twins would just hasten that process. I don't look forward to the physical toll take on my body but c'est la vie!!

Me: when 42 DOR: AMH 1.8 pmol/L FSH 8.0 and a lowish sperm count.  This is our chance at a child together  <3

IUI#1 (February 2014) IUI with Femara and ?.  Two follicles but BFN.

IVF#1 (September 2014) (Femara/Reponex) 5 eggs retrieved (some discordant growth), 3 mature, none fertilized.

IVF#2 (October 2014) (Femara/Puregon) 3 follicles, but ovulated prior to ER, so converted to IUI.  Lining looked great, and 3 nice same-sized follicles but BFN.

November 2014- Starting our DE journey.  Hopefully looking at a January cycle.

January 2015- Donor had an AFC of 28 and amazing labs - looked great. Unfortunately only 2 made it to ER! We proceeded anyhow and got two 8-cell day 3 embryos.  Implanted both and one took!  Due October with a precious girl (says Harmony test) <3

October 2015- healthy baby girl born <3

July 2016- Spontaneous pregnancy at 44 - wow! Fingers crossed for a happy outcome.

February 2017- a healthy baby girl <3

Lol! Always best to say something :) I love guidance and always know everyone has our best results at heart.,
I have quite the list of "do nots" and not many "do's"
No swimming, hot tubs, saunas, sex, no huge carb days, limited sugar intake, no cleaning, vacuuming, no lifting weights. No jumping, no cardio....you get the idea. Only eating organic fresh foods- just keeping low key, not doing very much of anything. The prometrium makes me sleepy so honouring that and napping lots.
I took almost the full two weeks off work, so being lazy is my new job!!

Fuelgirl: You're absolutely right about the do nots and the dos! There's alot of the  "do nots" but totally worth it in the end.

AF started yesterday and have never been happier to get it!

I found out from my clinic that they hope to do the transfer the week of January 12th. My clinic at home shuts down over the Christmas holidays so they have to take that into account in terms of my monitoring and transfer.

I'm good with this as I expect December will fly by as it normally does with Christmas commitments. My DH and I have a lot of Christmas social gatherings that we like to go to so it gives me some other things to look forward to. We're also thinking of going away for a few days right before Christmas as we have the time off but we'll decide once we have the detailed schedule for the cycle.

Ollie & Terapin: Welcome! Hopefully, you'll get more details soon about timelines. I know it's hard to be patient when you've already been waiting for so long...

Two back to back natural pregnancies with two miscarriages around week 8-9

Concluded poor quality eggs, nothing wrong with DH

Moved on to DE transfer

October, 2014: started protocol, thin lining therefore cancelled cycle in November

Have 5 mature frozen eggs.

Transferred 2 five day embryos on February 3. th_abfp.gif

Have one frozen embryo left.

March 10th: Saw one heartbeat measuring 7 weeks, 3 days

April 13th: 12 weeks, five days. Good results from initial NIPT.

October 7th: Arrival of Chloe via C-section at 37.5 weeks!

We are so fortunate!

JayMac that is awesome to have a date! You're right that christmas will fly by. Come January 1st you're going to be in a different kind of TWW. :-)

Sandra: Twins are ok by me. We have good support and resources. I'm thrilled with whatever we are blessed with. I have a special feeling abou twins and b/g twins would be super perfect!

Re: the list of No's: my RE doesn't ask for no sex. Is there research on this? I can give up carbs and alcohol and hot tubs ;-)
