I know it's a short month for many clinics and there may not be too many of us out there, but I wanted to start something for December transfers.

I'm in the October/November group as well, but I wasn't sure of my AF timing after my loss. Turns out I won't be transferring until early December which puts me at the end there. Would be nice to find more ladies with a similar schedule to mine.

On day 1 today - will start estrace on my next day 1. Planning some fun between now and then to pass the time.

Hi ilovemydog! I'm going to be a December transfer too. I'll probably be around the 19-22.

I have tons of stuff planned between now and then ( not purposefully either!). We will be PUPO before we know it! 😊

Will you be transferring one or two? We have one good and one meh embryo. We will transfer anything that survives the thaw. So far we're one for five for implanting so not really worried about twins.

Picked up estrace and antibiotics yesterday so getting closer.

I'll be transferring two 😁. I'm a bit nervous but felt so much more at peace when I decided to transfer two. I've had two failed FETs with my best quality embryos... So hoping for one healthy baby. I have to wait about 4.5 months in between transfers so I'm getting tierd of waiting too 😳.

Yes it is one step closer! What antibiotics are you on. I'm always put on doxycycline.

Good morning ladies, add me to the roster for a December Transfer.  Bug, when is your transfer? Our is set for the beginning of December.  The game changer is wither I get af on time.

married since 1996. '98 went to first ob and given clomid and written off at the door. '99 went to second ob and he did a lap and said if we weren't pg in 6 months referral to RFP. '00 went to RFP and re said she couldn't explain why we couldn't get pg but didn't investigate ether. '03 natural bfp and had m/c at 12 weeks. '04 went to another ob who was an re. he did iui, testing. '05 iui with letrazole-bfn. '06 iui and clomid and cancelled cycle and went in for surgery. Lap and hysteroscopy. did iui and injections and bfn. Referred to RFP again because re got us as far as he could and re said I had high fsh, lh and pof and pcos and endo, also suggested egg donation. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have dd. went to RFP and were told ivf was not a good idea because I respond poorly to meds. ok, let's move onto d/e. Couldn't do d/e until we had a failed cycle under out belts with my eggs. '07 did ivf with my eggs, retrived 3 and 1 made it to transfer- chemical. So moved onto d/e. '09 went back to RFP again for the orientation and consult for d/e and cycled in April '09- 13 eggs retrieved and 4 made it to day 3. Two transferred and bgp with dd. Dd born on 01/01/10!!!! Were crown the New Years Baby!!!! '14 came back for consult and did fet in Nov which was a bfn sad.png we're out of embies and options. Meet re/ob in '15 to discuss options. Considering adoption.

I'll be on doxycycline as well. Have to go in on CD1 or 2 to get a pregnancy test before I can start taking it. They didn't require the test when I had the same protocol in February - wonder if something happened. On CD4 now.

We have a 4AA (considered the best by my RE's standard) and a 4CB (not as good, but still a chance). If both thaw well, we will transfer both.

Welcome kookacola! Hope AF cooperates. It looks like my transfer will be December 2nd if i have a 28 day cycle, maybe a couple of days after that if my cycle is longer. I will be on estrace, doxycycline and endometrin.

Welcome kookakola! My transfer will probably he around dec.18-22ish. AF will be the deciding factor too.... If she's late I'll be pushed off until Jan as my clinic closes for Xmas 😒.

Ilovemydog: yes I wonder if something did happen 😁. I don't know the quality of my embies... Just that they are less then the first two I transferred.

Thank you for the welcomes ladies.

Bug88- isn't RFP closed during that time?

Ilovemydog- for the past year I haven't had af on a regular basis which is fine with me but everyone else including drs. are worried about it.  right now I'm on bcp, just switched to a bp med that's safer to take, baby aspirin, metformin and pre natal vitamin.  I will be starting the Superfact injections by next Monday,, doing estrodot patches and progesterone in oil which is also an injection.  I plan to follow what I id last time I cycled and hopefully it works.  We don't have anymore chances.  This is the last kick at the can of any sibling for our r dd.

kookacola - Not that a regular AF means much. Other than while I was pregnant this year, I have only had one month since the age of 13 when I haven't had AF. All other cycles have been between 27 and 35 days, except for a few months when my cycle was cancelled after starting progesterone/before transfer and one month when I was on hormones after surgery. I've only ever had one embryo implant in 6 years.

I am on prenatal (have been for the whole 6 years) and metformin. Will also be taking baby aspirin once I start cycling. So much to remember.

There is soooo much to remember. And I work 12 hour shifts days and nights so I'm always forgetting and having to pack all my meds in my purse 😒. I'll get on a system then get all messed up because of work 👎. I got a fitbit flex that you can set silent alarms on so hopefully thT will help me out 😜.I'm hoping to change to the estrogen patches to make it a bit less complicated 😉

Bug- yes I'll be cycling at RFP too! my dd will be 5 on New Years Day (she was the new years baby for the city I had her in) I thought they closed the 20 to the 4th.  Depending on af, I may end up transferring in January.  We'll wait and see.  I got pg with dd from a fresh eg donar cycle.

Ilovemydog- I never used to have issues with af but the past year I have.  I've had 3 afs since January and I as so hoping I was pregnant.  My fsh is high so that's a factor.

Night ladies, I better get off to bed.  I need to be up for 5am and I have dayhome kiddos starting to come by 5:45.  do any of  you have children?

Kookakola : it very well may be haha. I've heard a couple different things from two different nurses now lol about when my period has to come. What did they tell you?!?! Oooh that's early 😜. How many kids do you take in?

I have identical twins from a single embryo transfer in 2012.

Bug88 :) I have 2 dayhome boys that come.  One is 3 and have had him since he was 5 months old and the other is 4 and he's been here a year an a half now too.  I did let the parents know last week that I'll be taking a leave of absence and my dd will go to a dayhome for the two weeks after transfer so I can stay off my feet.  This is my choice.  I'm doing everything I did last time for this cycle too! I'm going on Saturday to get a lympathic drainage massage.  Funny you should mention twins.  Twins are common in my side of the family and my brother in law is convinced that we're having twins this time around.

Ilovemydog :) I felt the same when I had no children and still do but we also don't want to wates al our embryos.  We want to use them al so there's never going to be any regrets.  I"d be yappy with one ore but if it turns out I'm only going ot have one, I"ll have to cross that bridge when I get to it.

Did you ladies have a nice warm day where you lived today? we did and it was 26 degrees.  I love it.  it's too bad our play time outside got cut short by a scraming neighbour who was swearing at someone or something.  I decided to take the child inside just in case and plus, he didn't ned to hear al the searing.  I know I can have a potty mouth but I di keep a rein on it when I'm aroundkiddos though.  Tomorrow I hae the day off so we're sleeping in and then my dd and I are going with a friend and her dc to playgroup and then we'll go for a quick lunch, then take dd to school, have some me time in the afternoon and then take dd to dance class.  Good night ladies :)

Don't get me wrong. I would love to have more than one but I'm 37 now with no end in sight. If we are lucky this round we'll have nothing left so would have to go back to the beginning. If I go through another round and we have something to freeze, we would transfer everything over time.

We've had it pretty cold this week. Almost needed gloves this morning.

Hello, I'm new to the whole forum thing but figured I would give it a try. So here goes...

I'm scheduled for an early December FET. I'm 34 and DH is 42. I have a 9 yr old daughter who was conceived on the second try with clomid. Trying for number two not so easy. Tried naturally with no luck. Clomid wouldn't get me ovulating. Letrozole couldn't either. Had one ovulating month when I went back to clomid combined with metformin but no BFP which led to ivf.

This past summer I did the injecting of hormones and all that jazz but they cancelled my cycle because my estrogen level got to 55,000. Yikes. So crashed the cycle and reset everything and started again. Mid October we made it to the retrieval stage but the doc was adamant that we were freezing all. What's another couple months I suppose. Sheesh. But they retrieved 23 follies and 16 had eggs. 14 fertilized. 12 made it to day 3 but they wanted them all blasts so kept growing them and 6 made it to day 5/6. So now I have 6 frozen blasts hanging out in a freezer until transfer day.

Just started Bcp for three weeks and will taken a nose spray?!? To prepare for the transfer.

Sounds like this is a supportive place to be...

Lainey - Welcome! I've been here a couple of years now and its's a great place to be.

Sounds like with your history the freeze all cycle was the way to go. A number of women on here have had OHSS. At best it sounds uncomfortable, at worst horrific. Some women have ended up in hospital for varying lengths of time from a day or two to the better part of a month, having fluid drained from the abdomen. It's annoying to have to wait, but better safe than sorry - and it provides your body time to recover. 6 frosties is a great number! My last fresh cycle I had 2 blasts transferred and I have 2 frozen. Will you be transferring one blast or two?

I will be transferring in early December as well, but I'm not taking anything until my next cycle when I start on estrace/antibiotic/endometrin/aspirin. I don't have any experience with the nose spray, but I'm sure someone does!

Well the nose spray definitely threw me but they assured me that combined with everything eel it was the best case scenario.

I'm not sure if they want to transfer one or two. Nobody has really given me the goods on the pros and cons of one vs two. I had assumed with 6 in the freezer that I would have six chances but I now have a call scheduled with the clinic ( I live a few hours away from them) to talk about one vs two transfers.

Is there a better chance of one sticking of two are transferred or is it better to just do six single transfers?? I just have no idea.

Waiting sucks. I know it's for the best but I just want to go already. Talk about an exercise in patience!!

Laney- welcome to the thread :) I told the fertility clinic that I didn't want to use the Superfact nasal spray because I just had my sinuses scraped and I also don't want to stir up anything IF I should get into to see the sinus specialists.  Plus, it's one injection every day instead of numerous sniffs.  When we had our consult last week the re said they'll transfer both embies.  We have two left.

ilovemydog- it's very, very windy here today and I don't think we'll get a chance to get outside.  at least the sun is shining though.

Bug88- not too busy.  I have been busier.  I'm looking forward to time off where I can rest and not worry about anything but focus on growing the embies.  I guess I should get plan in place should the fet be a bfn :(

I definitely have a contingency plan if this cycle fails. We will be heading to a new clinic for a second opinion/more testing. Depending on the results, we will probably do two freeze all cycles and do PGS. If there are usable embryos we will transfer to me or surrogate depending on test results. If that fails, we will consider adoption.

How does the thaw work? Does it take awhile? Is that why more than one are thawed, in case one doesn't survive the thaw?

I would be so disappointed if I had to postpone again because of an unfortunate thaw. My doc said they have a crazy high rate of success with the vitrification method but I never really know when it's legit and when it's just general optimism.

6 in the freezer and if none of them end up sticky then we are done. Emotionally I can't keep doing this. And financially it would crush me as well.

I think if my first fet fails I will be looking at cheap deals to Mexico to regroup! Or at least ill dream about regrouping there :)

I'm pretty sure the thaw rate is 90% or more for blasts frozen by the vitrification method. I was told the greater the quality, the higher the likelihood of a successful thaw.
