Morning!

We got a consultation appointment! It seems we have waited forever for any progress in our journey! Now with a date to get things rolling I feel like a weight has been lifted! We have our consultation via phone on August 30 th and 12:00! I should have taken this step so much earlier!

Why do we wait?

We have been waiting with our names in Edmonton and Calgary now for almost 11 months with not even a phone call. I recommend to anyone waiting to check out the out of province options.

I am looking for advice on what to expect now. I guess I am just feeling a little nervous about what comes next, now that it is real and actually happening??

Also wondering if anyone else has dealt with Dr. S. Hudson out of the Victoria Fertility Clinic??

Thanks so much to everyone. I have found any reply's on here a wonderful reprieve from the stress of everyday.

Great news on your upcoming consult. I switched from Calgary to VFC a couple years ago. Dr H and his team is amazing! You should join the VFC thread- there are lots of us on that support each other.

TTC since I was 28; Started fertility treatments at 35.

Dx: Male factor, Hashimotos, fibroids

April 2011-13 eggs retrieved: all dead except 1 immature egg that was ICSI'd; no embryos to transfer

Switched from Calgary RFP to VFC

IVF#2: November 2012, donor egg cycle- chemical pregnancy

FET#1: Feb 2013- m/c @ 6 weeks

Sept 2013: Abdominal myomectomy done. Giant fibroids removed with my uterus intact! I love Dr. Allaire!

January 2014: Surrogacy- FET cycle, BFN.

FET#2: May 2014-BFP

May 26 beta=335, May 28 beta=812, May 30 beta=2004

Baby girl born January 2015

We are also at VFC. Switched from Aurora in Saskatoon.

Heading out there in 2 weeks for our IVF.

TTC #1

Me: 30 - Him: 33

Diagnosis: Unexplained

August 2012 - Start TTC naturally.

October 2013 - Appointment with OB/GYN. HSG, blood, SA tests, all results normal. dx Unexplained.

November 2013 - Natural cycle monitoring. BFN

December 2013 - 1st round Clomid. Ovulated early with timed intercourse. IUI cancelled. BFN

January 2014 - IUI #1 - BFN.

February 2014 - IUI #2 - BFN.

May 2014 - IUI #3 - BFN.

August 2014 - IVF + ISCI. BFP!

Oct 7, 2014 - 7 weeks, 1 day - Ectopic rupture. Lost left tube & our Angel Baby

January 2015 - FET. BFP! Beta #1 - 55. Beta #2 - 278. Beta #3 - 709!!!

Saw our beautiful baby on the ultrasound measuring perfectly with a strong heartbeat.

It's a boy!

EDD October 15, 2015.

Wyatt arrived 9 days overdue on October 24, 2015 weighing 9 lbs and measuring 21 inches long. He's perfect! We are so grateful for our baby boy.

Almost - I've been a patient of Dr Hudson on and off since he first started in Victoria in 1996. He is truly one of the best! I have the utmost respect for the man

1993 - started ttc, Aug 97-1st IVF BFN, Nov 97 FET BFN, Aug 98 - 2nd IVF BFN, Nov 98 FET BFN, 1999-2000 - several IUI's - all BFN's, 2002 - 3rd IVF BFN, FET BFN, 2004 - 4th IVF - cancelled for poor response, 5th IVF with known donor BFN

June 2006 - ***** BFP (naturally)****** 2007 *****DS was born

2008 - TTC again, 2010- started peri-menopause, 2013 - full menopause , 2014 -exploring donor egg

Nov 2014 - transfer 2 5 day embryos Dec 2014 - BFP ***** DS born*****

Sept 2017 - transfer 2 5 day embryos - BFP

You will have no regrets working with Dr. H and his team. They are fabulous. I am certain that even with travel expenses you will have a superior experience with VFC. Join the VFC thread and welcome!
