Hi ladies! I thought I'd start a thread for those of us planning on doing a frozen embryo transfer in July and August. I did my FET in April which unfortunately ended in a miscarriage. I'm gearing up to transfer again in August 😊. I'm waiting for AF before then I'll start my clinics medicated FET protocol. I will start using suprefact to downreg on cd 21 next month and the start estrace after my next next AF 😜.

Looking forward to sharing this journey with you!

Hoping to do another FET in the next few months--not sure if it will be July or August yet. Had our last in March but it ended in another loss. Hoping to do more immune treatments with this cycle to actually give us our take home baby.

Hi ladies,

May I join you?  I started a cycle right after the failed fet in May but it was not the ideal start to a cycle so I decided to stop the Estrace and wait for af and start again.  I'll be doing the medicated cycle when af shows so my transfer should be sometime in early August.  My cycles are very regular but I was on Estrace for a week so I'm not sure when af will show up.  I'm spotting now but it's much too early.  I think it's from stopping the Estrace.

I only have 1 embryo left so this will be our last try.  It was frozen 4 years ago the 'slow freeze' way so I only have a 20% chance of success this cycle.  I'm trying to be realistic about our chances but I still want to stay positive.  I need to give this little embryo the best chance I can.

Bug88 and Waitingforbfp, I'm sorry to we have to cycle again together.  There were a lot of bfp's in our last group.  It must be our turn now :).

Waitingforbfp, I'm so sorry you had another chemical.  I was really hoping your beta was going to double.  Are you transferring 1 or 2 this time?

Welcome ladies :)

Alanna: of course you can :). I'm sorry we are all here too! You are right... It's our turn. Sounds like you are giving your little embie it's very best shot!

Waitingforbfp: so sorry about your loss. You have been through so much :(. I've only had one loss and I took it pretty hard. Looking back I was hurting a lot more then I though, falling into some bad habits that I thought I'd kicked years ago to distract myself/ numb the pain. Hoping the immune treatments do the trick!!

Hi Boom!! 😊. Such a great feeling to have a plan in place and tentative dates! Hoping for the same in about 2 weeks!

Hello Ladies,

Thanks Bugg88 for starting this thread.

I am in the FET June/July Thread too, but I will likely be starting the process in July/August. I am waiting for AF then think I need to wait for one more so likely will start  in July the same FET protocol as you bug88 as we are at the same clinic. I had a 5dt5dp in May that ended in a BFN, Lots of good day 5 & 6 frosties so we are very thankful and hopeful. We are going with transferring 2 this time.

I am rooting for all of you to have BFP's !! smile.png

Welcome jannett!!! That's great you have so many frosties! I find the FET protocol at our clinic frustrating. It's so time consuming... Like seven weeks from AF where you are excepted for treatment to transfer. But greatful the wait list is short right now.

I'm transferring one... But would feel so much better doing two.

Boom: we are going to be a great thread! When do you start your suprefact?

I'm going to cut out caffeine for the 2ww and have tossed around the idea of going gluten or dairy free. Still not sure about the latter yet. I probably won't be dedicated enough for it to make a difference. Other then that try to eat right and exercise and chill out! Last cycle I did nothing special... I did get a BFP but ended in mc....so probably more issue with baby then me.

Bug88- I start suprefact on June.26th:) the wait is killing me ha. But no other choice but to be patient!!
Yes totally agree with u on the gluten free:) I started a little while ago. I can tell u this so far, I feel less tired, I had a productive cough when I ate certain things, that has gone away:) I'm dairy free, except for yogurt bc I need the live cultures for my tummy. My stomache is still boated but I really believe it's to do with the meds and few extra pounds I put on😔
I'm with u on trying to chill out and just enjoy summer ☺️☺️ I agree with u that it was definitely not u but there was something wrong with ur babe, so I feel nothing but positivity for u for this cycle!

Hey ladies! Mind if I join? I'm doing a natural fet in July (probably around the 24 th of July (that's the dateI've calculated based on previous 2 fets). Our previous 2 fets were both unsuccessful, doctor believes its the embryos because they don't like the freezing and thawing process. They are going to thaw a couple ahead of time and try to find a good one. They also suggested immune therapy just because I've had 2 failed cycles, but I'm torn about that, not sure what I want to do yet. Will be transferring 2 this time, we still have 8 little frosties.

Currently on bcp waiting to get the process started. Trying to stay positive and hopeful but getting discouraged after each bfn.

Thanks for staying this page bug, looking forward to going through this with the support of you girls (that's whyi love this site)

Me -27. DH-32
Me- PCOS- diagnosed when 14ishDH- 100% normal
Married 2009
Took a year "off" before TTC - ha ha hind sight is a wonderful thing!
Talked to the doctor about PCOS( as he was not the one who diagnosed me with it originally)-- wanted us to ttc naturally for a year before fertility treatments.

2011- 2012- sent to RFP for a consult. Suggested to go on clomid, went on clomid for numerous cycles. Nothing was happening, phoned to get on IVF waiting list, doc told me to stay on clomid because it was working for me, just might take a little more time. (He said this without ever monitoring me). Went back to family doctor and he suggested

VFC2013-- phone consult with VFC, decided to do IVF

August 2013- Severe OHSS, all embryos frozen- 10 in total
November- 2013- set to do first FET, estrace didn't make lining thick enough and also breast lump was found (benign, but still monitoring) so cycle was cancelled.

February 2014- FET #1- BFN
April 2014- FET #2- BFN
July 2014- FET#3- BFN.......

Mock cycle to do an ERA test and do another FET if ERA comes back good.
ERA test done on Nov. 13th- results came back Receptive- thats good news i guess.... still no answers as why the previous 3 FETS didnt work

December 2014-
FET#4- BFN
Wtf appointment- doctor thinks DH and I are too genetically similar and therefore my body rejects the embryo and the NK cells take over.

January 2015- immune testing- dh and I are a partial match meaning 1 out of 4 embryo will not implant and I have high NK cells. Trying another transfer. Gluten free 12 weeks, intralipids 10 days prior to ET, and also day of ET. Prednisone and estrace.
March 19- intralipid treatment
March 29- transferred 1 grade 17 embryo using assisted hatching and more intralipids

April 10th - BETA - BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In total shock!
Beta#1- 335
Beta# 2- April 13- 1250 We are officially pregnant :) Now to wait for our 7 week ultrasound! 7 week ultrasound went great- Baby was measuring 6w6d and a heartbeat of 140!!!! so cool to watch the little heartbeat!! EDD December 16th Lilypie Pregnancy tickers

I am a bit of a slacker with being gluten-free.  I think I'm more like 'gluten reduced.'  I'm gluten free at home but when we eat out, which is quite a bit, I'm not too concerned about it.

I feel bloated from the drugs too.  I'm still have difficultly pooping, lol (TMI!).  I eat so many prunes, which help a little.

I only drank green tea during my last cycle.  It has a bit of caffeine but not too much.  I'm drinking caffeinated tea again but will stop when I start meds.

What has everyone's clinic told them about drinking alcohol during your cycle.  I wouldn't drink after transfer of course.  But it is summer and I love drinking a nice chilled glass of wine in the evening with my husband on my deck.  I think I'll stop drinking when I start the Lupron.

Alanna: are you gluten free as part of your lifestyle or just while cycling? Summers going to be hard to go strictly GF for me... Camping =burgers and hotdogs and other delicious junk 😜. My clinic didn't say anything about alcohol... I'm not a big drinker but very much enjoy baileys and coffee 😮. I had one right before my last transfer. I'll probably do the same this time😜.

As for bloating... I'm always bloated. I gained about five pounds while doing my FET and as soon as I stopped the estrace it melted off. Silly hormones!

Hey Y'all!! Could I join this group!!

I will be starting drugs for FET #4 at the end of July! We are in the process of transferring our remaining embryos from Calgary RFP to Victoria! Looking forward to somewhat of a fresh start and a new protocol! Baby dust to all of us!

farmgirl - I noticed your location is in Saskatchewan but you are going to VFC, did you transfer your embryos? VFC is putting my on a completely different protocol than RFP Calgary, it's all a little overwhelming haha But they are giving my drugs for immunotherapy! When did you start BCP? Was it on CD1?

alanna - I enjoy a couple beverages while I prep for a FET (especially since summer is coming haha), I try to avoid alcohol closer to the transfer (around the time I start estrogen) but I have always been told by doctors/nurses that it's ok to have a couple drinks here and there. In this process, how can you not??lol  As long as you aren't binge drinking every other day I think you'll be good :)

Welcome farm girl:) I'm really sorry to hear about failed FET's ... Such a struggle!!! I'm really hoping they thaw just perfectly and things work out for u:) you are so right about trying to stay positive, it's so difficult:(
Alanna- ya I hear ya, when we eat out I don't really care bc it's difficult to control what they r using unless u eat chicken n aspargus etc. I'm going through weird things, I just had 2 weeks of loose stools ( yuck I know) now I'm back to being constipated somewhat, ugh soo annoying. But thruthfullly I've been this way for a while, so I can't blame the meds, I believe my endo is most likely near my bowels. But the meds did cause major bloat, I still look 6 months prego, nuts!
I was on green tea too last time then switched to herbal non caffeinated tea. But for right now I'm drinking green tea and one coffee in the morning:))) I will stop coffee when we get near our ET, or maybe abit before.
Alcohol I'm continuing to consume, everyone is different but for me I love my wine and occasional beer. It's summer and I'm 100% going to enjoy it! 😊😊 👍 once we get closer to the ET I will stop of course and then after until we test, praying for a pregnancy. Ughhh
I with ya bug88- it's so nice to have somewhere to vent and ask questions:)))
