Embryo freezing

I am thinking ahead to my next ivf after my first one which ended in a blighted ovum.
My first ivf produced 6 embryos. The clinic transferred the best 3 embryos (all 8 cells) on day 3. The embryology report says that the remaining 3 embryos were cultured to day 5 then discarded.
I was obviously disappointed there were none to freeze. I am confused as to whether there is anyway one can insist on freezing ones embryos?
Basically, can I trust the clinic or do they want you to keep doing fresh cycles? What are the criteria for freezing spare embryos in ivf treament?
I am happy with the rest of my treatment with this clinic, but would like to know that they did the right thing for next time.
Thanks

On the point of freezing it is ultimately the decision of the embryologist as to whether or not the embryos are suitable to freeze. This decision will be based on the appearance of the embryos and past experience at that particular clinic.
There is no point in insisting on freezing as if the embryos are not up to it then freezing is a waste of time.
Hope this helps!
Peter
