I am unable to ovulate and would need to use an egg donor or donor embryo.  I am wondering about finding someone on the west coast who would be interested in doing a shared cycle?  IE: 1/2 cost for the Egg Donor IVF retrieval, 1/2 the eggs to each parent.  Anyone interested in this ??

I live in Alberta, was thinking of having eggs frozen for later use, i'm married 21 years, we have 5 children. I'm a healthy fit non smoking non drinking mother. Maybe we can split the cost.

I would cover an ivf cycle, if someone has a donor, and covers all the donor expenses in Ontario. We would split eggs, so, must be a proven donor that produces quality and a good quantity of eggs.

We might be open to sharing a cycle. We are located in Victoria BC working with VFC. We have never really considered this before now but it makes sense to share costs.

With shared cycles a proven young donor is the best as there is a higher probability to have a greater # of eggs to share.
My cycle that I'm looking to share will be at Create.

As someone who needed more than one donor cycle to be successful, if you can afford an exclusive cycle it can be worth the extra cost so that you can have as many tries as you might need. An exclusive cycle is more expensive than a shared cycle but cheaper than starting over if you don't end up with enough eggs.

MB, I think that's a very good point to add. We didn't have success until our third DE transfer. I was really glad we did an exclusive cycle as it gave us 8 high quality 5-day blasts, which, I have been told, is an exceptional outcome (it's more usual to get fewer 5-day blasts than that).

Also, the stats show that most women will get pregnant with donor eggs within 3 cycles, so the first transfer is by no means a guarantee. It wasn't until we transferred our last batch of blasts that we finally got our BFP, so this was definitely the most enconomic choice for us.

If we had done a shared cycle, I don't think we would have had as many embryos to work with and it would have cost us more in the end... Food for thought...

I'm looking at doing a shared cycle with an egg donor. Best to go with a proven younger high producing donor. Anyone please pm me?
Create in Toronto does the retrieval for donor.
Thank you

Hello,

I am new to this group. I am 34 years old. My husband and I have been married for 11 years. We have a wonderful 6 year old son through IVF. We are located in Orlando, FL . We would love to expand our family, but the insurance in Florida does not cover IVF. It is very costly. I was looking to share my eggs with someone in need to help with the financial part of it.

If you are interested, please feel free message me.

Thank you,

Jackie

Just a reminder to those seeking a donor/surrogate in Canada, or wanting to become one, to follow the link below to the AHR Act and refer to sections 5, 6 and 7.
