Hi! I'm on antagonist protocol as well hoping for ER around end of Oct. Hope the baseline u/s goes well so we can finally get started! How are u planning to take days off? I'm not sure how to give work notice as I don't even know for sure when ER would be.

Hi MissM! Sounds like we'll be going through this days apart!
I'm actually planning on taking some 'sick' days on the ones I'm required to commute to Calgary for u/s and blood... Then come estimated ER take the 2-3 weeks off. I'm pretty lucky with work so..,I'll get a letter from my GP. I don't care what work thinks ;)

I agree I dont really care what work thinks either! I mean were spending the money on this right!!!!!!

I've heard that taking the 2-3 weeks off after ET is good because its a horrible waiting game to see if it actually went ok. On the other hand I've heard that keeping yourself busy is a good thing to. I've neen on the nasal spray now for 12 days and I'm totally fine other then the headahes. I start the injections on Wed so we will see how the side effects on those make me feel

Does your work know what's happening with you ladies?

I started the injections today. First one at 5pm! I'm SO nervous. Hate needles! Where are you ladies at?

Ya my work knows. How about urs?
I started injections today too! I do mine at 1pm. How did urs go? I'm on 125 units of Gonal F and 75 units of Luveris. I actually find the Gonal F pen to be more scary just because of the way you have to hold the pen. I was so nervous doing them myself but ended up okay, no bruises yet.

CanCH did you have teaching yet for the injections?

I'm on 150 units of purogon! It's in the epi pen thing. I actually had a really hard time with it. I hate needles so it took me a while to do it. I had someone do it for me actually. I'm not bruised but I do have little red bumps on my tummy. They are have gone down since last night which is good.

I'm at the Calgary clinic too. I use the epipen thing for Gonal F too, they r probably similar. I hate needles also, hope we don't have to stim for too long.

CandCH I think we are starting at lowest dose to avoid hyper stimulation.

You bet! I have the Gonal-F at 150 per day as well. That would be a concern with me is the risk of OHSS. My family doctor showed me the results of my u/s. About 30 follicles/side. Saw the RE and he wasn't concerned at all and said it wasn't PCOS but actually really good because it meant I'd respond well.

I have 20s follicles on each side too during u/s and dr said I am on the low end of the PCOS since I don't have any other symptoms, well except irregular cycles. I responded poorly to clomid tho, hope it's not indicative to injections.

HannahW how r u feeling? I've been feeling a lil bloated or tight around the tummy since the first day! I dunno if I'm making up the symptoms, maybe just from me being too tense with the injections.

I'm feeling very bloated and blah as well. I hate the needles!!!!! :(  I also didn't do to well on clomid. Hope the injections dont have to many side effects.

I had my U/S on Wed and I didnt have very many Follicles :( thats why they increased my meds. I have another U/S on Saturday, so we will see where I'm at.

Thats awesome that you have lots of follicles!

We'll see how my baseline will go! I'm not concerned about the numbers of follies decreasing. More concerned about OHSS. But I have faith they know what they are doing and will monitor me closely

I love that I can read what is gong on with you ladies so I have some idea of what to expect in the near future :) excited for AF to arrive!

Hey Gals!

Gunna join you on this forum - was on the Sept/Oct one but more folks are over here!

I'm on day 2 of stims - Puregon @ 125iu and still Suprefact 3Xday (started that Sept 18 and I'm on a low dose protocol as well - OHSS possibility apparently). I'll be traveling to Calgary tomorrow (from Prince George, BC) for b/w on Sunday. AF came last Thursday and I hadn't stopped spotting. I did my first injection with the Puregon pen last night and this morning I have woken up to my period! Phoned Calgary but they said it's fine. B/w may show if my estrogen levels are too low (which I have a hard time believing LOL) but it may just be my stupid endometriosis which will hopefully sort itself out. My body seems to hyper react to drugs i.e. Clomid was the devil for me! Fingers crossed this goes much more smoothly thumbup.gif Annddddd this is our first IVF!

Happy to be on the journey with you ladies!

Me: Endo, fibroid    DH: healthy as a horse thankfully

I find sharing with others going through the same thing really helps to decrease the stress level😀 I live in the SW.

HannahW how come u have u/s so quick already? I started stimming on Tuesday and my u/s is on Sunday.

I live in the SE- copperpond area.

I think they wanted to see how my estrogen levels were and if things looked good in there before they put me on injections. They did the US and BW and then called me a few hours later to say go ahead with the purogon. Kathryn you had the same thing right? I have to go back tomorrow for another US and BW to make sure the 150 units are working

Yes :) Wednesday I had an u/s to make sure there weren't any cysts growing, ovaries were looking good and my fibroid hasn't changed size/shape/location so I got the thumbs up to start injections. Sunday I'll get b/w done in Calgary to check my estrogen levels. May have to up the dose, we shall see!
