Went shopping for baby clothes today and way overdid it but who cares. This baby will be stylin and spoiled.

Ohhhhh....I'm so jealous of everyone finishing up at work! I don't finish work until July 12th 
But I also recognize that for some of you, you've had to finish early due to some pain and other issues, so in that respect, I'm definitely not jealous!
This week was the first time I actually started to feel uncomfortable (in addition to the edema and heartburn, my back and hips are starting to hurt, as well as my feet), so I'll have to play it by ear as to whether I can make it until July 12th or not. I have a 50 minute commute to work every day (and back!) so I may find that the drive does me in. I know it's not great for my edema that's for sure. I'm also starting to find it hard to haul myself out of my Honda Civic. We also have a minivan, but I have equally as much issue trying to haul myself up into it!
Well, today is my first baby shower ever. I'm so excited! It's a 'friends and family' shower so all of my most loved-ones will be there. And such a beautiful day for it as well.
I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend.

Great news; no GDM for me I celebrated by having a large popcorn at the movies.
Our nursery is almost done. My DH is having more fun than me with decorating. My DS was also involved. It was a great family event.
I also have to work until the end. My last day is July 19th. It is a long time away but everything is going by so fast. I am truly getting excited!

Yay for all of those off work. I finished on Wednesday I haven't stopped though, packing up the house, Father's day shopping, having a BBQ for my Dad and my father in law tomorrow. So many braxton hicks, I have this weird feeling that the baby will come before my C-section date of July 8th.. I don't knowwhy I say that, just a feeling!
3@43 sorry for the seizures. I hope you can get back on your original meds soon.
Hopefully I can get on the facebook group, trying to get things worked out

And I like that your baby throws a "more- room- party"... I think we would too under similar circumstances:)

Your busy- ness with all the packing and stuff makes me tired on your behalf. You are a trooper!! My dh installed cupboards in our laundry room today, and just sitting upright in the chair to cheer him on was exhausting!!
I'm having crazy Braxton- hicks too, by the way...so strong, and so frequent. It's a weird feeling isn't it?

Well the biggest news of my day is that I think I lost a part of my mucous plug this morning... It wasn't as substantial as I thought it would be, but maybe there is more to come? Definitely totally different than pregnancy discharge, and definitely brown/ pink tinged... But who knows what this means? Days? Weeks? Or c-section date, as planned?! I'm gonna call my ob's office in re am just to let her know.
I'm dying to meet these little ones, but I'd like them to get fatter first!!!
Other than that... Stretch marks are worsening, and sleep is getting much harder from breathlessness depending on the position I'm in....but who cares??? Grow babies grow!!!

Thanks for asking about my shower Mrs. Me.....I have to say it was absolutely FABULOUS!!! The weather was perfect, so we were able to have it outside. It was a perfect size - there were 15 people total, so it gave me time to spend with everyone, some of whom I hadn't seen in ages. I could not believe the overwhelming generosity of everyone. We basically received the rest of the 'must haves' to be up and running the day we bring little bean home. We received a stroller, Playard, change-table pad and cover, crib mattress cover, diapers, a 'hospital survival kit' with everything from Gatorade to chocolate to cream to Depends etc. The list goes on and on. The clothes and outfits for babe are so incredibly cute, I cannot wait to see him in them! We also received some great kid books - Sandra Boynton, Robert Munsch. We literally came home with a van-full of gifts. Honestly....overwhelming I have to say.
I can now put the finishing touches on the baby's room but want my cousin's help for that - I don't have a great eye for décor. So she's going to try to get over for an afternoon next week so we can get things done and get the decal up.

Tal - I too just finished the nursery and we are trying to involve our DS in as much to do with baby as we can. So far it seems to be working and he is excited.
Hopeful - get the sick note and go off work. You won't regret it! I am so uncomfortable right now and cramping more I couldn't imagine having to go to work too, much less commute that long!!! Glad to hear your shower was wonderful - sounds like you were spoiled.
3@43 - sorry about your seizure - did your dr figure out what the plan is for you yet?

Afm I have pregnancy insomnia full fledged. I don't sleep. The last 4 nights I've slept maybe 2-3 hours and very sporadic. I know part of this is my anxiety as we are getting closer (3 weeks!) and being huge and having to pee. But I'm tired. Sooooo tired. Anyone else?

Feb 2012 - given the all clear re health...going for round #2 of IVF
March 8 2012: Starting Lupron
Mar 2012: Started cycle but was cancelled due to high TSH.
May 1st, 2012: Day 1. Doing long, overlap protocol.
May 23, 2012: Started Lupron
June 1, 2012: Day 1
June 3, 2012: started Menopur
June 12, 2012: US & BW - 15 follies in total
June 16: DH's PESA. Really great results.
June 17: Retrieval - 4 mature eggs.
June 18: all eggs fertilized
June 21: 3 embies arrested
June 23: Last embie arrested - nothing to transfer. Heartbroken
Between July-Oct: taking time to get my head around everything. Started a new cycle. Was cancelled due to pneumonia. We need to catch a break
Oct 2012: Here we go again.....
Oct 29, 2012: retrieval - 2 out of 4 made it to blast
Nov 3, 2012: transfer (2, 5 day blasts)
Nov 13, 2012: BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beta 201
Nov 15, 2012: Beta 556 - things are lookin good!
Nov 28, 2012: 6 week ultrasound detected one little bean. Heartbeat at 101 bpm Yayyyyyyyyyyy!!!
Dec 22, 2012: first apt with OB
Jan 10: 2013: IPS ultrasound - all looks good!

your shower sounds like it was amazing!!! I love the idea of a hospital survival kit that covers the range from chocolate to depends!!! That is a great, and very useful gift idea indeed!!! It sounds like you had a wonderful time- I'm so happy for you. Did your cousin get I er to work on your nursery this week, or did you mean the week coming up?

I'm so sorry the insomnia has hit you so hard- that's terrible. I'm not getting good sleep at all- I'm up about 4 or 5 times a night to pee, then have trouble falling back to sleep because of my mind racing about our impending delivery. We are less than two weeks away now, and it was definitely my mucous plug, but no new dymptoms otherwise, so we just don't know when it might happen. But your sleep trouble sounds much much worse. I really hope it improves for you ASAP. Take care sweetie

8/11 IVF 1 - 15 retrieved, 9 at 72 hours. 2 day 3 transferred. 7 day 3 frozen.
11/11 FET 1 - 3 thawed, 2 survived and transferred at day 3. 4 frosties remaining....Chemical pregancy.
02/12 FET 2 - BFN
07/12 IVF 2 - 17 retrieved, 13 mature, 6 at 72 hours. 2 day3-8 cell compacting transferred. Froze 3 grade 4 and 1 grade 3.
08/18 - Beta 1 - 941
08/20 - Beta 2 - 2171
08/30 - U/S 1 @ 6W0D - Twins! HB of 115 and 108, measuring: 5w5d and 5w4d. SCH Found
9/4 - U/S 2 @ 6W5D - 2 sacs with HBs (121 and 103) and 1 sac without HB
