Just bumping this thread.....

As a now 36 year old woman with DOR and a 40 year old DH with severe MFI (oligoasthenoteratozoospermia and >95% anti-sperm antibodies), we were so happy and blessed to have our miracle daughter with our third IVF-ICSI cycle in March 2013, but knew we were fighting the clock. So we were planning on cycling again soon in order to try for a sibling.

In April, we met with our RE and both started on CoQ10 (I was on 400 mg daily, he was on 600 mg daily), and I also started DHEA 25 mg three times a day. The plan was to continue the CoQ10 and DHEA for 3 months, and then start a new fresh IVF-ICSI cycle, starting with the BCP and endometrial biopsy the cycle before stimming.

So, I was waiting to call in my day 1 this past week...... and it never came! Home test was positive, and beta today confirmed it. My beta was 3318, but since I wasn't charting I have no idea how many dpo I am (but LMP was July 6).

Totally shocked and surprised how we managed to conceive spontaneously (with our severe combined infertility diagnosis requiring multiple cycles of IVF-ICSI previously)! yahoo.gif

9 IUIs, 12 months Fermara, 4 months Clomid, 5 rounds of injectable, 1 LAP, 1 HSG, 2 Uterine Biopsies, 1 Postcoital, 1 IVF, 2 FETs... 2nd Fesh Cycle IVF - ++Beta 110!

TTC#2 - Dreams coming true... Surprise BFP Au Naturel! Never really started trying, but never gave up hope on dreams coming true. 20w2, after 6 days of strict bedrest, we lost our baby boy, Emmett to my incompetent cervix and he was born sleeping. 24cm long, 0.67lbs he was the most perfect little angel and has brought with him many lessons for us to remember him by.

Lightening strikes twice apparently>>>> May 24 ++HPT, Followed by ++Beta. Numbers are low, but doubling. EDD Feb1/2013 ~ Baby Boy arrived 5 weeks early in under 2hrs. Left me with 4th degree tears. 2 years later, still pending reconstructive surgery :( In that time hubby had a vasectomy. Never thought we'd have a chance to take fertility into our own hands

Thanks, Raspberry and DesignerBug! I am still in shock and can't believe it. Just spoke with my nurse at the clinic, and just because we have no idea how far along I am (aside from my LMP), they would like to do a repeat beta on Sunday and then, if it has risen appropriately, they will arrange for a dating/viability ultrasound.

Raspberry - how is your little one doing? He must be getting big, he's 9 months now, right? Hope you are enjoying every second!

DesignerBug - hope both of your miracles are doing well! It is so so so crazy to experience a natural conception after so many years of struggling (and with nary a hint of a 2nd line ever in the past!) Thanks for starting this thread 2 years ago....I wasn't exactly sure where to post (if anywhere) but since we are so cautious we aren't sharing any news with any friends or family yet, and don't know when we will.....but felt like I needed to "tell" someone, so thanks for providing me a place to share smile.png

Congrats!  I was in a very similar situation nearly 2 years ago.  My first was conceived after multiple cycles of IVF and I never in 3 years gotten a natural pregnancy.  It's definitely a shock to see that second line on an HPT without having done any fertility treatments!

I am going on Thursday to confirm my spontaneous BFP.  I so wanted another, and even have lots of frosties and then we found out about some health issues and decided that we were done and very happy with how blessed we already are with our family.  My head is still spinning on how this one even happened... I so don't want to be that cliché!

Congrats ladies!

Saffy - thanks hun! Long time no talk! My appointment is with a high risk OB, so she has U/S in her office at the hospital. She can send me up to fetal assessment if she sees fit and I know they would fit me in. I still go to visit them when I am in the area and my Fetal assessment nurse actually stayed with us in the room for my whole delivery before. I adore them <3. How are you doing?

Fromwell -I was just noticing your signature and our kids are both born just days apart! How are you enjoying the double toddler stage?

Sorry I missed this.  I'm actually loving it.  I love seeing the interaction between the two.  Definitely super busy and trying at times though!  I think the worse is when they are both teething at the same time! lol

How are you enjoying it?

Yes, its busy but really fun at the same time. My two get along quite well and its neat seeing them play together. The dual teething stinks, and when both get sick and are really needy.

Laura - congrats! How old is your trio now?

Hey SD! My trio are going to be 2 in September. You know it really felt like your DD was sosososo much older than my trio. Isn't it funny how 9 months age difference used to feel like a world apart?

Laura,  we are doing well.  Alexandra is 19 months now and more fun than ever.  We have decided to go for another one and are in the process of using our frozen embryos.  We have done one cycle which ended up a negative and are heading into one-two more cycles with the hopes of one working.  Then we are done regardless of the outcome.

Good luck on Thursday and I hope everything is just perfect.  You might find this pregnancy pretty relaxed compared to a triplet IVF high risk pregnancy.  With running after 3 two year olds,  relaxed will be good.

Hey Saffy! Turns out I am 8w4d and baby has a HR of 166. I guess it is real. My head is spinning so badly. We really are very happy! I don't know about doing this with the fatigue I already had. I have been sleeping at least 10 to 12 hour nights and still mapping this weekend. I guess it will all work itself out wink.png How are you doing? Any decisions on what to thaw for your FET?

Congratulations Laura! That is awesome news.  Your trio is going to be so excited as well. Keep us posted how things are going.  IT sound like everything is as it should be right now.

No still undecided about everything even whether to do another cycle.  I'm supposed to start the synarel tomorrow.
