Hi
I wasn't sure where to post this post..anyways, I am newly pregnant and would like to get a fetal doppler. Does anyone know where to get one? Babies R Us? London Drugs? Do you know if hospitals rent them out?

July 25, 2011 ET- 5 Day transfer with 2BBx2 eggs, none to freeze
Aug 3, 2011 beta results- BFN
IVF/ICSI #2 September 2011- Low Dose Lupron Protocol
Sept 1-11 Gonal-F 300, Menopur 150, Lupron (5 units)
Sept 14, 2011 ER- 14 follies retrieved, 13 matured, 10 fertilized, 8 continued with 2 slower in growth until day 5
Sept 19, 2011 ET- 5 day transfer with 2 eggs- 2AB, 2B+
Sept 20, 2011 - able to freeze 2 eggies! super excited
Sept 28- BFP!! beta number #1: 33
Oct 4- beta number #3: 560
Oct 19- 7 week u/s- heartbeat detected small sac, embryo measuring 6 1/5 weeks
Oct 25- noticed spotting, clotting and more spotting..
Oct 26- u/s performed and indicated that i had a 7w6d miscarriage

April 26- Uterine Lining Biopsy- to "stir" things up
May 4-12- Gonal-F 300, Menopur 150, Lupron 5 units
May 15- ER- 13 follies retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized, 7 continued with 1 slower in growth until day 5
May 16- Start Prometrium (the usual) and have added 2 mg Estrace twice daily
May 20- ET- 5 day transfer with 1- 3AB, 1- 2BB and 1- class 3 morula
May 21- able to freeze 1 egg!
May 29- (9dp5dt) Beta-BFP!! 311
May 31-(11dp5dt) Beta #2- 683
June 25 - 7w6d u/s- I have two babies growing!! Baby A 7w3d and Baby B 7w2d- heart rate in the 160's
July 4- 9w1d u/s- Baby A measured 8w4d and Baby B measured 8w2d and heart rates in the 170's
July 31- 13w0d- First Trimester Screening (FTS)- baby A 12w6d and baby B 12w6d!! Heart rates 160's. NT, Tri 21, 18,13 low low %!!
Oct 10- 23w1d- put on bed rest and Progesterone as cervix is measuring short. Praying babies stay in there!
Nov 14- 28w1d- Baby A's waist is small. OB detects the possibility of growth restriction and will keep a close eye on him. Baby B doesn't seem affected at the moment.
Dec. 3- 30w5d- Going in for Fetal Monitoring (1x/wk) due to Mild Restricted Growth for Baby Boy A. Baby Girl B is on the cusp of being Growth Restricted.
Dec. 24- Fetal monitoring 3x a week. OB says I will not go past 36 weeks due to Growth restriction for both babies.
Jan 17, 2013- Andrew John ( 6 lbs 5 oz) and Lucy Cristina (4 lbs 14 oz) were born via C section.
Things I did for this cycle that's different from previous cycles: CoQ10 400 mg twice a day (started in Jan), Benadryl 25 mg 1x day after ET right up to Beta, drank more Rooibos tea after ET, increased my carbs since I am on low carb

I would ask yr OB. Mine said to stay away, something about the energy being able to actually lower the FHR. Technicians are trained to look for this and know to move positions immediately. He also said that often what you are hearing is yr own heartbeat anyways.
That being said, I'm pretty sure Babies R Us has them.

i found a few places that rents them, i think you can buy one too, but it's about $500 for a new one.

My Dr. also told me to stay away from them so as not to stress myself out. However, I completely ignored his advice and rented one. It was definitely worth the money. I rented mine from a site called tummy tickles. http://www.tummytick...cy_doppler.html They have the Dr. grade dopplers that can detect way sooner than anything you could buy at Toys R Us. They are also based out of Vancouver and the shipping is really fast.

I rented one from here and absolutely LOVED IT. The shipping was fast, the service was good, it was easy to use and I detected a heartbeat the first time.
people thought I was nuts and that it would make me more nervous but on the contrary it gave me peace of mind in between my OB appointments.

I got mine from dopplertodiapers. They are local to bc so it ships in a couple if days. They are super friendly there.

>Got AF so I went for a blood test. Levels came back at 41 so they thought I was having a miscarrage. Went back 2 days later and levels were at 46 so they thought I wasnt micarrying proper and might need a D&C. Went back 6 days later levels shot up to 184 so they thought I passed 1 embryo but was pregnant with the other. Went back 2 days later levels down to 169 got AF 2 days later.

-Natural bfp Dec.2010 - m/c at 7 weeks
-Tried Clomid/IUI one time (BFN), wasn't really advised though, so proceed to IVF
Taking care with: Acupuncture x 3 months, Coq10 600mg daily x 4 months, folic acid, and fairly healthy overall.
IVF/ICSI #1
April 29 - May 8 - Estrace 2mg po BID (estrogen priming)
May 8 - AF
May 9 - (AM)Menopur 150iu/(PM)Bravelle 225iu started (high dose antagonist protocol)
May 13 - Blood work - E2 802, increase Menopur to 225iu, and add (AM)Orgalutron once a day
May 15 - BW, U/S = 5 or 6 follicles on each side, but only 2 'committed' Same meds continue
May 17 - BW, U/S = 6 on the left 14-16, 3-4 on the Right, 14-16 - hoping for a perfect 10!
May 18 - U/S - Last dose of Menopur, TRIGGER tonight!
May 20 - ER - 8 eggs - ICSI
May 21 - All 8 FERTILIZED!!!
May 25 - ET of 2 blasts, 4AB & 4BB
May 26 - 5 frozen blasts on ice

July 10 - u/s = all good, baby moving! 9w1d
July 24 - u/s = just to peek! Baby dancing 11w2d
July 26 - more spotting, no pain 11w4d
Sep 21 - 19w5d - detailed u|s = everything right on track! It's a GIRL!!!!

Update: Baby girl was born on Feb.4th, mom and baby are just great!
