i had a 5d blast FET on June 19.did HPT-positive.my first beta was June 29 and it was 480 but my progesterone level was 8.45. 2nd beta was 983 on july 2 and then the progesterone level went down to 6.54. the clinic said everything is normal with my numbers, but i'm really scared with my progesterone level.i'm on crinone 8% 2xa day. Is everything ok, or should I be concerned with my levels.need some inputs to calm me down. been trying for 9 years. 2 failed IUI and 1 failed IVF.

I would insist on going on POI (progrestrone in oil) injections...they get absorbed better. I have a progestreone problem...many doctors insist it doesn't exist, but I truly believe that is one of my major problems - the placenta doesn't kick in production till week 8-12, so I stayed on POI till week 11. It doesn't hurt, your RE might try to tell you not to bother, but insist. I know others on this board who had a m/c because they stopped progrestrone on their first IVF, then went on to have successful pregnancies when they used POI for the first 12 weeks.

You need adequate progesterone, you can ask for endometrin instead as it is absorbed much better than crinone (this is if they are hesitant to Rx the PIO shots). The Gold standard is PIO followed by Endometrim,, then down the line is crinone. Crinone can be clotty and seep out on underpants quite a lot. It never did work real well for me. Push if you have to, remind your clinic that extra progesterone won't hurt and they should make them comply.

I am wondering about this too! I always start my period before beta, even with endometrin. My cycles are about 26 days but sometimes I start spotting even at 19! I wonder whether I should push for PIO? Any thoughts? My clinic has said it's not necessary and the shots are "traumatic." I wonder if I should speak to the doc on transfer day?

I had fever reaction to PIO that is why I could not use it..Last night I had mild spotting.Really freaked me out.My doctor said it might be from the crinone making my cervix irritated..I'm going to see him today and have my 3rd beta and progesterone level checked.

If the Crinone isn't working for you, and the PIO is a no go due to your reaction...maybe the Prometrium vaginal suppositories is something to try. Do you have an allergy to peanuts, more specifically peanut oil? If so, they'll have to find a better alternative for you, but I've always had a great response to them and they are less messy than the crinone. INSIST that you need a form of progesterone adequate to keep your levels up until the 2nd trimester.

sorry for the late update..went to see my RE yesterday because of mild spotting.turned out my cervix is a bit irritated from crinone. I asked about the low level progesterone.He said it is normal for me to have this levels because I was on Estrogen/Progesterone cycle.I did not ovulate so there is no way I will produce progesterone.I also asked about additional progesterone medicine, he doesn't think I need it.He further explained that the crinone is a good alternative to PIO because it goes directly in the endometrium. And it is sufficient enough even though my levels are low. With all this explanation feel relieved now.I had my Beta checked and it increased 3x and my progesterone also increased x2...hopefully everything will continue to be this way...Every week I just think of it as a miracle..

Are you not suppose to bleed on Emdometrin?? Im confused cause my fresh-failed ivf I bled 11dpt while taking it. As for this cycle I have not got my period yet and hoping its a good sign but read that it delayes your period??
