What books do you recommend for fun reading while waiting? I'm reading "before I go to sleep" and it's good so far.

I really liked that book! The book of Negroes was by far one of the best books I have read ever! Also for a light read sTori telling was pretty good too.

I have fallen in love platonically with author Katrina Kittle. She's amazing. I love all her books, and they're pretty recent but starting to win awards. I especially liked "Two Truths and a Lie"... impressive plot and couldn't stop reading. "The Kindness of Strangers" is great too but handles some tough issues.
I also recently liked "The Doctor's Wife" by Elizabeth Brundage and "Unbearable Lightness" (Porta de Rossi - Ellen's wife.)
I just ordered "Down Came the Rain" by Brooke Shields. She talks about infertility, ART, post-partum, and life after! My next read.

I agree with Juliet - Unbearable Lightness was an amazing book. I couldn't put it down! I just finished the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and am on book 2 of the Hunger Games Trilogy. I also just started The Vow. All very light reads, but good just the same.

For light, funny reading... the Shopaholic series (I think there's five or six of them) by Sophie Kinsella. My go to books for a pick-me-up.

DH: 43, no issues (practically perfect in every way)
TTC: 6 years (since we got married in 2006)

Menopur, Cetrotide, Lupron (trigger)

Froze everything due to severe OHSS risk (sky high estrogen levels - even the doctor hadn't seen levels so high...)

Nov 7 - start sniffing Suprefact 5x a day (yuck!)

Nov 27 - ultrasound looks good - green light to start Estrace, back to clinic on Dec 10th
Dec 10 - lining check - everything's good, transfer on Friday! Stop Suprefact (finally!), start Prometrium supps (yuck!]

Dec 20-23 - HPT daily, BFN
Dec 27 - Official test day (clinic only does urine test, my HPT negative)
Dec 29 - AF starts

Also LOVE this thread!! I am a big reader- reading The 50 Shades Trilogy right now, kind of weird but a great read if you just read it for what it is.

For a nice light beach read (or beaching yourself for the 2WW) Lorna Lanvik's "Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons." It's pretty funny.
If you want to cry buckets, I'd recommend "The Art of Racing in the Rain." About a dog who loves his master so much.... I tear up just thinking about it.
For some life afirming hope message, Paulo Coehlo's "The Alchemist." My favourite book ever.
For oppulence and nostalgia, F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby."

Such a pretty face by Cathy Lamb is a great book! Great characters and story line!
December 2010- began journey at Heartland
2011- numerous rounds of Femara with no success
December 2011- IUI with injectibles (suprefact, menopur), produced two follicles, BFN
IVF #1
March 2012- started BCP
April 2012- started suprefact then 150iu Bravelle, 150iu Menopur, also on metformin entire time.
April 25,2012- egg retrieval day, 40 follicles and 25 eggs!
April 26,2012- no fertilization, rescue ICSI on 8 remaining.
April 27,2012- 2 embryos dividing nicely, all set for ET
April 28,2012- decided to transfer only one embryo (7 cell, almost perfect) because of OHSS. Other 6 embies start dividing.
2WW begins......please GOD let this be it......
9dp3dt- BFP!!!!!
10dp3dt- BFP!!!! (had to double check!)
Beta- May 11th- 40 , also some spotting
Next beta May 13 to see if it doubles and check Rh factor.

If you like murder/suspense stuff - early Karin Slaughter (great name for a murder/suspense author!) and early Patricia Cornwell stuff is good, and helps pass the time!

Loved reading "Still Alice" by Lisa Genova. Her "Left Neglect" book is also a great one. She tackles problems like when Alzheimer's hits a family.

May 16- Start Prometrium (the usual) and have added 2 mg Estrace twice daily

May 21- able to freeze 1 egg!
May 29- (9dp5dt) Beta-BFP!! 311

June 25 - 7w6d u/s- I have two babies growing!! Baby A 7w3d and Baby B 7w2d- heart rate in the 160's
July 4- 9w1d u/s- Baby A measured 8w4d and Baby B measured 8w2d and heart rates in the 170's
July 31- 13w0d- First Trimester Screening (FTS)- baby A 12w6d and baby B 12w6d!! Heart rates 160's. NT, Tri 21, 18,13 low low %!!
Oct 10- 23w1d- put on bed rest and Progesterone as cervix is measuring short. Praying babies stay in there!
Nov 14- 28w1d- Baby A's waist is small. OB detects the possibility of growth restriction and will keep a close eye on him. Baby B doesn't seem affected at the moment.
Dec. 3- 30w5d- Going in for Fetal Monitoring (1x/wk) due to Mild Restricted Growth for Baby Boy A. Baby Girl B is on the cusp of being Growth Restricted.
Dec. 24- Fetal monitoring 3x a week. OB says I will not go past 36 weeks due to Growth restriction for both babies.
Jan 17, 2013- Andrew John ( 6 lbs 5 oz) and Lucy Cristina (4 lbs 14 oz) were born via C section.
Things I did for this cycle that's different from previous cycles: CoQ10 400 mg twice a day (started in Jan), Benadryl 25 mg 1x day after ET right up to Beta, drank more Rooibos tea after ET, increased my carbs since I am on low carb
