Hi everyone, I guess it's time to start a new due date forum!

I tested on May 26 with a Clearblue digital and found out that I am pregnant, although I did suspect a couple of days before that.

I can't wait for others to join me!

CONGRATS! I am not preg - but I remember in 2010 when I went in for my FET on May 30 how exciting it was to start a due date thread!!! I wish you much luck and happiness and comfort on your journey! May it be everything you dreamed!!!

My EDD is Feb 6, and that is what I am reaalllly hoping for, as my other kids are all Jan babies. Eldest DS is Jan 18, and twins are Jan 21&22. Yes before and after midnight. Of course, if its twins, I'm going to shoot for the 19&20. I'll just fill that week up.

That's too funny, about all the Jan bdays in your family. I have an April birthday, but my DH and DD have Feb bdays...and so will this one, if it comes on its due date. Clearly I'm the outlier, haha!

Been feeling the low level nausea pretty constantly, though sometimes I feel so good it's almost not there. My pants are getting tight already; wasn't expecting that to happen so fast. Horrible hunger that comes on fast and pretty often, so maybe all that caloric intake may be why my pants are getting tight. Otherwise, I still have all the other symptoms of taking prometrium: ligament pains, back pains, always tired and napping.How about you?

I hear you with the nausea. I can still drink me decaf, but there are definately some drinks I can't handle, like iced tea. My sense of smell is through the roof, I think I could smell colours by now. My Mom came the visit me yesterday and asked me if I though the hospital is going to let "everyone" into the l&d room. By this she means dh, her, my dad, my two sisters. Most babies that have been in my family are born into a room full of family. So it shall be with us.

Maybe the tiigt pants means twins? I was into maternity pants with my twins by 10 weeks.

I'm scared to drink coffee, even decaf. B/c I did not drink coffee at all the 1st TTC and got pg with DD, I have wondered if drinking coffee while TTC #2 the past 2 years caused my infertility/chem pgs. In any case, I'm not gonna take any risks...at least for the 1st tri. I started drinking 2nd tri with DD and she seemed ok.

Really cold water really bothers me, so I try for closer to room temp water - but I pref warm/hot water right now. And lots of sipping, no downing 2 cups at a time like a used to!

I'm so tired that I nap a couple of times a day...although admittedly, I'm not sleeping well at night. Insomnia I think, which is rare with me.

That's a lot of pple in the L&D room, sounds like you are ok with that though. I don't care about how many, just if it's pple I feel comfortable with and trust. But in our hospital, they are very strict. Only 2 pple allowed to go to L&D and PP while I am there. I don't have family here so it was me, DH and our doula, she was very helpful - although we didn't have any issues with the hospital staff. I was hoping to hire the same doula but it looks like she got out of it (she was very experienced, plus her daughter moved to Vancouver...I assume after all this time, she has moved there too). Need to find another doula.

Maybe twins...? I dunno. Not feeling it, plus I didn't get a positive as fast as some of you...mine was 9dp3dt. But I got big fast in my 1st pg, by 12 wks I was in maternity pants too. In fact, at 10 wks pple could tell my tummy had changed. No one told me...I could tell by the way they said hi and then looked at my tummy LOLOL!!!

I got a positive at 8dp2dt, but very faint. I'm going to drink my decaf as long as I csn because I know the time will come when I cant stand the smell of it anymore, and need to quit it.

My dh is convinced it is twins for us again. I am a little nervous about that idea. I think he may be right, must cause this is my third pregnancy, and I only felt sick during the twin pregnancy, at least this early on. I have me third beta tomarrow, and then I guess an ultrasound in a couple of weeks.

How was it with a doula? I wasnt allowed the option with the twins, but it may be a choice this time.

Why would you not be allowed a doula if you are birthing twins?

I liked having the reassurance of a doula, in many, many ways. She had a lot of resources on hand, esp for natural remedies, breathing techniques, and birth positions. Because she had a lot of experience, she was very knowledgeable. At the hospital, I had to be induced at 39 wks, so I was given meds to bring full-on labour and monitored, so there were a lot of things that would have helped me but was not available due to the induction, like having a hot shower. When it came time for pushing, she helped me through the pushing phase (which turned out to be short). Even though during L&D, her help was limited due to all the meds and monitoring, it was nice for her to be there to ask questions of the hospital staff and reassure my DH, since he was all in a daze as well. But she was not cheap, it was $900 for her services! But totally worth it, even when her help was limited at the hospital.

I had the twins in Ontario, and they had a policy that high risk pregnancies, which twins are, must be seen by and ob/gyn dr only. I had the worst on ever, and was so glad to be done with him after I had the babies. If this pregnancy is a singleton, I may look at having a midwife. It's twins, I will probably stay with the dr. I've know many women who have had doulas/midwives and loved the support they gave. GP's are good for regular medical care, but I swear I have Doogie Howser for a dr, he's only like 11 years old, and you can actually see him scanning reference material in his brain when you ask him a question. I don't know that I like the idea of someone so green delivering my baby. Although, being young, I can push him around, and since I've given birth 3 times, I know what I'm doing here.

The hospital in Victoria used to have policy in place regarding how many people, and said as long as they weren't in the way. When I delivered my eldest son, I had mother, stepfather, and birthcoach in the room. When my sister delivered there,she had me, mother, stepfather,boyfriend,bestfriend. With the twins, it was just DH and I, as eldest son chose to not come in for it. I've been in the L&D room with my older sister once, younger sister once, neighbour once. My younger sister is delivering her 2nd child by csection on Wed, so I will actually be having my bloodtest done while she is giving birth. Then Wed night I am staying overnight at the hospital with her to help out with her first night. Her DH will be at home with the older son.

In my family, giving birth is almost like a party, with everyone coming to take part. I figure that the women in the room all have what I have, and the men have all seen it, so there is no reason to me shy. And having gone through IVF, I've lost all body shyness anyways. If a person in a lab coat walked up to me and told me to get undressed from the waist down and lie on the floor, I would just do it. LMAO!!!!

LOLOL!! Sounds like you have awesome relationships with so many of your family - that's so hard to find nowadays. I'm glad you are so comfortable with them! I have to admit, sometimes I wish I could have my mom here, but I really don't know how she would act in L&D. If she was calm throughout, that would be awesome. However, she tends to excite easily...then I get all excited and stressed out....then it's not a good scene and I don't need that kind of drama, even if I know my mom doesn't mean it.

The guy who was "technically" my OB was a very good OB technical wise but had no bedside manner and was actually really rude. He pissed off my DH the one time I came into see him (and it was for an emergency; bleeding, I think). The OB I ended up seeing the most was another associate of the high risk pg clinic and she was so awesome! My first appt was on a Tuesday, with her. Guess which day of the week I booked the rest of my appts? For this pg, I have asked my GP to refer me to her, knowing she is hard to get in to see. But then again - this OB was the one who referred me to the fertility clinic and I told my GP that the OB asked me to see her specifically when I got pg. So I made sure to be referred to her this time. I am honestly not too concerned about my "high risk" (being the kidney transplant), as long as the kidney is stable, my appts will be very boring, and seeing my GP will be almost the same as seeing my OB. Wow, that would be kind of scary having such a "green" dr....seems like with your experience, YOU could be the OB instead of him! Hope you are able to get a midwife, or maybe find a more experienced OB...??

Hi Ladies Mind if I join you....I got my beta results yesterday...and I'm sooooo excited to have gotten a BFP . I go for my second beta next week...according to the 5 day FET calculator my due date will be around the 21st of Feb!

I too am thinking I should find myself a due date thread to help pass the time We are due February 5th currently. We won't go full term due to various reasons, so will have the baby in January. But I thought this would be a nice place to call home for the next several months.

We've had one ultrasound so far and go for our second on Tuesday, which happens to be my 35th Birthday.

Hi everyone! I am quite superstitious but may as well chime in I had my first u/s yesterday and wee babe is 6wks,5ds. My duedate is February 6th!

Designerbug, the birthday u/s will be very special! Our second u/s is on our 2nd wedding anniversary.

Congratulations! This brought tears to my eyes... it's exactly how I felt, and only something those who have truly struggled to have a family would understand. (unlike many of those we know around us in daily life... I also feel fortunate to have found a community of compassionate people who shared our paths and emotions here at this board.)

I think I am ready to join this thread. I have a 6wk u/s tomorrow, keeping our fingers crossed. I feel pretty good, on and off nausea, nothing too bad and my boobs are sore, but again not too bad. What symptoms are you ladies feeling?
I had some bleeding this past week, so I was sent for an early u/s and cervix is closed, which was great, but it's a mystery as to why I was bleeding. It has stopped now so hopefully things will be great tomorrow. Oh ya, and they saw 2 sacs!! Hopefully tomorrow we may see something in them as it was too early to tell before. Fingers crossed!! I m happy to be joining the due date thread!!

I have a question for you ladies' - it seems like such a silly question at this point, maybe. But what are you wearing? I am 8 weeks today. I know it isn't "baby belly" so much as bloat and distended bowel, but I am a thin woman and when I wear fitted shirts now, I look like I ate way too many cookies - lol. For some reason, the slightly baggier shirts look worse, as I know if I look at my stomach, there is a little roundness there that the tummy part of the shirt clings to. I feel weird wearing maternity clothes at this point. Also, my jeans are getting too tight and now I have to figure out how to use my belly band. Anybody else at this in-between stage? I need some new shirts, but not sure if I should just continue to buy baggy or jump right into maternity.

Hello everyone,
I , too, am pregnant. I am 6w1d and I conceived naturally (after several clomid, IUI and COH cycles) and after booking a flight for a consultation appt in the USA to receive donor embryos. I was pregnant in December and had a missed miscarraige so I am not getting too excited yet. And what really stinks, is that since I got pregnant on my own, I cant have an ultrasound until I am 12 weeks along. My boobs dont hurt and that scares me a bit, they were a bit sore in December, when I was pregnant. But I POAS every couple days and they continued to get darker, now they are maxed out dark and are just staying the same. I want a viablity scan so bad !! Does anyone know if I can find an OB on my own or if my family doctor needs to refer me to one?
