Hello,
I may be a bit early, but after signing consent forms today I was hoping to meet up with some others who are cycling in august/september. We decided to wait until the end of summer due to some travel in July and some down time after a cancelled IUI.
This time next year we will hopefully be welcoming our babies into the world!

Mollybean - I'm currently part of a July/August IVF cycle group, but I'm probably going to be joining you guys here instead. We should be ready to start our first ever IVF cycle at the end of July, but it's such a busy time for us so I think we're goin to wait. If we do, I'll be starting antagonist protocol at the end of August (last week).

Hello ladies can I join?? We will be starting our second cycle of IVF/ICSI in early September. I'm on the antagonist protocol so it will be rapid month for me. Call with cd1 and start stimming within a day or two with retrieval approximately 10-12 days later. I really hope that the second time works for us!
At first I was looking forward to having the summer to relax, drink and travel. Plus, our dx is MFI so dh is taking his cocktail of meds in the hopes that it might yield some better results. As such, we need the 3 months to see any potential changes. However, I'm feeling anxious to start again, I don't want to wait anymore lol!

Been ttc for 4 years
Dx: low morphology
1st IVF with ICSI: bfp but ended in a m/c at 5 weeks
Had initial consult with our new clinic - all screening bloodwork results are good; dna frag is high end of normal; karyotyping results are normal for dh.
February 26th called with my day 1. Will start lupron on day 21 to down regulate. Here we go again, hang on for the ride!!
March 30th first puregon shot (day 3).
ER on April 11th - 34 eggs (ouch!)
Fertilization update - 30 mature eggs and all fertilized (holy cow!). Praying they keep growing!
April 16 - day 5 ET of 2 embryos; 16 frosties (crazy!)
April 26 - BETA BFP!!!
7 week scan - 2 babies measuring on track with two good heartbeats!!!

Hi: I'm also hoping to cycle in August/September... Just trying to book an updated SHG, then we're good to go as soon as the clinic calls. I'm also checking in on the July/August group, but it seems unlikely that I will get to cycle in July, seeing as it looks like I won't get in for a SHG on this cycle

Just checking in - how's everyone doing?
AFM - we have DH's TESE next Wednesday, so one more step closer to starting IVF. He's very calm and not nervous at all. I'm nervous for him, but hopeful that they will find good sperm with the needle and not have to make an incision. I'm having a really hard time with the wait. I'm so impatient and it feels like end of August is forever away...

Hi ladies - I was starting to think I wouldn't be getting in for my SHG this month since the clinic hadn't gotten whole of me since I left a message on CD1... well I got a call yesterday (CD6) for an appointment the next day (today). Talk about last minute! And to top it off, the nurse thought I needed an HSG, and so I ended up doing that instead - wish I could have done the SHG as HSG gives me worse cramps
Also have as U/S and AFC tomorrow, then we should be good to go for IVF at anytime. I do know that they're going to put me on BCP first, so hopefully they'll get me started sooner than later.

Hiya Ladies,
I too am ramping up for another round. Had serious misgivings about joining a forum again--it was too hard last time watching the BFPs roll in. Plus our optimism (and money) are gone gone gone but maybe that's why I need to be back - to have some help finding the lighter side to this mess!!
I think I'll be cycling in August - just had another AMH blood test to make sure I'm not hitting early menopause (how depressing would that be?) and have more ultrasounds booked for Monday and Tuesday in hopes of proving I do have blocked tubes and OHIP can stick out its thumb for a few grand to help pay! Mostly concentrating these days on losing the weight from round #1 (and, to be totally honest, the chocolate and boozey binge that followed the BFN). If anyone else is struggling with optimism issues send me a PM - I'd love to chat!

hi everyone,
lots of stuff going on this week already..I relate kiwigal-August seems like a lifetime away. i am always really busy in summer though so of all the months to be in the waiting zone..I think these are the best.
2 students..how did the ultrasound go? Wouldn't it be great to have an OHIP paid cycle?!
i too got my amh tested and am waiting on the results which will probably come in a week. my fsh is elevated so my RE wanted to run more tests. i'm already preparing myself to feel disappointed if the results come back stating that i have decreased ovarian reserve.
right now we are trying to decide on whether or not to freeze sperm. he has never had less than 900,000/ml but the doctor says ''just in case''. i want to play it safe but it's an extra 500$ . Since we are doing ICSI we litrally only need like 7 sperm but of course I'd like the clinic to have a pool to choose from.
she kind of scared me into it by saying that if the day of Er there is no sperm then they can't really freeze eggs..or at least they are not very experienced with it.

Hi Girls,
I have been given the all clear to go ahead with our next FET. I am taking the summer to relax (and the lab at our clinic closes for a month) to prepare. My beta remains a mystery at 8 so the RE has decided to not worry about it. I will do a natural cycle with progesterone and I am thinking I will take baby aspirin, the clinic no longer has it as part of its protocol but I used it my last fresh cycle so it can not hurt.
Mollybean: I wonder why the Dr would say that when the count looks really good? I hope its not just a money grab.
Misti: I know I need to keep on the clinic to make sure everything is on track. I write it all day and keep a log of what needs to be done with questions.
2students: I should be out losing weight as well, my last failed FET I packed on 6 pounds of stress eating. NOT GOOD! I hope you can find funding to help out with the costs.
Kiwi: I hope the TESE went well. Waiting is what IF is all about it seems!

Mollybean - FREEZE 'EM!! It would suck if on the day you didn't have any to work with. I'm sure they'll take the fresh if they can but on my last forum, there was a poor woman who, after all that expense, had to cancel her cycle the day they retrieved her eggs because he couldn't produce sperm. GAH!
JoJo - oh ya, that damned stress eating. One day, early in the cycle when my estrogen was going up a 1000 points a day, I sat down and ate a whole box of chocolates! But man they were tasty!
U/S went great! We may have sufficient proof this time 'round to apply for OHIP funding! Thank God. Still waiting on the AMH. Waiting waiting waiting. IVF is like going to the airport, eh? Hurry up and wait.

Hope I can join this thread. I was on the May/June/July FET one but sadly we lost our baby so now I'm back in thewaiting game.

I'm hoping AF will come sooner rather than later as I was told today to wait 2 regular periods before trying again. Hopefully that will put me in September FET.
Oh, both of Dh's sisters are pregnant. One is overdue so probably induced this Friday and the other EDD is November. Hard to not let it get to me but boy is it tough!!!

June 11, 2012: 7w6d, u/s, no heart beat. Our angel baby died 6 days ago. Missed mc, BEYOND DEVASTATED! Took Misoprostil, passed a lot of tissue and excruciating cramps!
June - July 2012: Multpiple beta tests and u/s to make sure all clear. Officially not pregnant anymore.
July 25, 2012: u/s and sono to rule out polyps due to persistent tissue found inside. Adhesion in the uterus. Going in for a 2nd hysteroscopy.
Oct. 4, 2012: Hysteroscopy #2, Dr. thought it could've been scar tissue, then right after surgery told me it was a polyp. Just left his office for a follow up and pathology results came back as a fibroid. Gyno says cavitiy now looks great and it's ready for a baby. Given the clear to start trying again with November's af. DH and I decided to wait until January.
FET cancelled due to poor lining response.
Jan. 26, 2013: Endometial biopsy
FET #2: March 1, 2013, Estrace (8mg vaginally), Prometrim (600mg vaginally), and PIO on trasnfer day.
Transferred 2 beautiful and perfect embabies!
March 15, 2013: Beta BFN, no embabies left :-(
I am too positive to be doubtful,

SGD I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Nobody should have to go through that - HUGS. I hope you can do another FET in the near future.
2students - great news on the possible OHIP coverage! Not that I would wish IF on anyone but having assistance with the staggering costs helps with the financial burden. We will be doing fresh cycles together!
Jojo - taking the summer off is a great idea. We decided to do the same (and give DH the best chance of improving his SA). I know what you ladies mean about the weight gain - a few extra pounds from bloating, stress eating etc... they are so pesky to get rid of!
Molly and Kiwi - the wait sucks! Although I'm happy to be able to relax this summer I'm also itching to start the next cycle. I feel useless when I'm just counting down the days until I can start injecting again lol!

Hi Everyone!
I'm just introducing myself, we signed our consent yesterday and will be doing our first IVF cycle in September, as far as I've heard antagonist protocol with Gonal F and cetrotide.. Can't wait to get to know everyone better. Here's hoping this summer goes as quickly as all the others seem to!

Cheers - the wait is sometimes the worst part! But, we're focusing on enjoying the summer and will start soon enough. DH had his appointment with Dr. Roberts this morning and all went well. The procedure was over within 10 minutes because they were able to extract a few vials using a needle. I was so relieved they didn't have to make an incision! The worst part for him was in the recovery room because the narcotics made him sick. Oh well, his part is done now.
Sitting in the recovery room with him was a bit scary and I felt my first twinge of fear after seeing a woman come back from her retrieval as white as a ghost. Hearing Dr. Kotarba explain the procedure to a woman having her first retrieval was also pretty scary. I'm glad I heard it in advance, but makes me nervous as a first-timer.

Hello ladies I will be starting my fet next month with a transfer date around aug 1 .. Got a BFP on my fresh cycle with twins that's ended with miscarriage at 18 weeks just praying that this works will be doing a natural fet we have 3 blast frozen

Kiwi try not to worry about the ER. You take ativan the night before (to help you sleep), and then the morning of the procedure so you are feeling pretty 'high'! I'm a pretty nervous person and I wasn't really anxious at all. Dh said I looked stoned lol! The nurses were wonderful at making you feel comfortable and at ease.
Been ttc for 4 years
Dx: low morphology
1st IVF with ICSI: bfp but ended in a m/c at 5 weeks
Had initial consult with our new clinic - all screening bloodwork results are good; dna frag is high end of normal; karyotyping results are normal for dh.
February 26th called with my day 1. Will start lupron on day 21 to down regulate. Here we go again, hang on for the ride!!
March 30th first puregon shot (day 3).
ER on April 11th - 34 eggs (ouch!)
Fertilization update - 30 mature eggs and all fertilized (holy cow!). Praying they keep growing!
April 16 - day 5 ET of 2 embryos; 16 frosties (crazy!)
April 26 - BETA BFP!!!
7 week scan - 2 babies measuring on track with two good heartbeats!!!

I have no idea when I'll be at the clinic again, but I do work downtown and suspect I'll have to going to my obgyn for the next little while for follow ups.

June 11, 2012: 7w6d, u/s, no heart beat. Our angel baby died 6 days ago. Missed mc, BEYOND DEVASTATED! Took Misoprostil, passed a lot of tissue and excruciating cramps!
June - July 2012: Multpiple beta tests and u/s to make sure all clear. Officially not pregnant anymore.
July 25, 2012: u/s and sono to rule out polyps due to persistent tissue found inside. Adhesion in the uterus. Going in for a 2nd hysteroscopy.
Oct. 4, 2012: Hysteroscopy #2, Dr. thought it could've been scar tissue, then right after surgery told me it was a polyp. Just left his office for a follow up and pathology results came back as a fibroid. Gyno says cavitiy now looks great and it's ready for a baby. Given the clear to start trying again with November's af. DH and I decided to wait until January.
FET cancelled due to poor lining response.
Jan. 26, 2013: Endometial biopsy
FET #2: March 1, 2013, Estrace (8mg vaginally), Prometrim (600mg vaginally), and PIO on trasnfer day.
Transferred 2 beautiful and perfect embabies!
March 15, 2013: Beta BFN, no embabies left :-(

We're planning on a FET in September. I was going to do a natural cycle and progesterone, but I think i'm going to chicken out, and just go with the Estrogen first. I'm nervous it would be the one cycle (like this past cycle), that my cycle goes from a normal 26 days to 40 days! We have 8 frozen blasts, so we're looking to transfer 1 pristine 4AA blast!
We met with the RE 2 weeks ago, and it turns out my Thyroid is way out of whack, so we have some time to get it straightened out before we start. For once, the call from the clinic didn't mean I couldn't cycle... it was kind of nice to get that type of call... even if it means my Thyroid is off.

SunnyS, I ended up having a thyroid issue as well. I've been going to a fertility clinic for over 2 yrs and it's never been an issue. This past December diagnosed with under active thyroid. I'm currently taking 75mcg of Eltroxin. It took me about 1 1/2 months to get it under control. I believe they want it between 2 and 2.5. Before this past FET it was 2.92 and dr was good with going ahead with it. I'm under the care of my RE and a thyroid specialist. I go for blood work every month to make sure it's still normal.
Goo luck, I hope you can get it under control quickly. I only had to adjust the meds once.
