I will probably start at the end of the month cycle day 3..

I feel so scared ..I took clomid once and i had horrible side effect...head each ,mood swings,vomiting ... and I have no idea if the injection would couse me any side effect..

How about you ? I see that you already had passed the injection stage ..whats your next step?

Please give me some feedback about the injection

I did one cycle on clomid, and I was pretty good with it, minus a few hot flashes, which were kind of funny.
As far as the injections, I was soooo scared to start, but once I did I was so proud of myself. I didn't find them that bad- just make sure you are sitting when you do them to help calm the nerves. AS the days passed, I felt a little bloating, which was uncomforatable, but ok. Then I had the transfer and my estrogen was so high that I had hyperstimulated- so at that point I was sooo bloated as I was retaining a lot of fluid in my abdomen. That is when I took of 2.5 weeks off work (it got better when I got my period). That was the most uncomfortable part about it. Most people don't have that problem though- so don't worry about it.

Now I am waiting for AF so that I can start the FET cycle. Looking forward to it. Have you had the biopsy yet?

My expirience with clomid was horrible and i was told to stop taking it .( I got better after a couple of days) Thats the reaso why I fear fartility drugs.As to the biopsy I haven't done that yet , Usally the Doc D does that 5 days after the ovulation.( Im not ther yet and hope I will do that in RH clinic) Im sick and tired driving to MIss.It takes me forever to drive all the way down there.
How about you how many embrios is the Doc going to transfer? I wish good luck and keep me posted

Try to be postitive, even though you reacted badly to the clomid- just think that every drug is completely different!!
I have now had 3 biopsy's- they do hurt a bit, but I keep telling myself thank got its over in seconds!!! Which it really is. This past one I even went to work right after. All of my biopsy's have been done in Mississauga because it depends what day you need it done. I was there for 6:30am this past Monday and then had to be at work for 8:00- and I made it!!
The first time around we transferred one. Dr D said because of my age (28 at the time, now 29) and the fact that we froze 5- 5 day transfers, we should be good with one. I did get pregnant, but it ended very early on. This time around my husband and I and Dr. D agreed that we would transfer 2.
What is your plan- how many do you think you will transfer?

To tell the truth , I was supposed to start the ivf this month but somthing unexpected happened so me and my DH agreed to postpone for the next cycle.One of the reason , MY DH was out of town at that time and I didnt have the consent ready ....Secondly,I was really nervous ......I coudnt controll myself.Its strange .. as soon as Nikki tought me how to do the injection ..I was telling myself "I cant do it, It was like mission impossible. Although , she did her best to explain and tryed to tell me is easy...
In my case, I will transfer 1 embryo beacuse of my age (29) and I havent mention it before but I have a child concived naturally 6 years ago.For the second one we coudnt so thats why we decided to go through the IVF journey..

Before starting IVF you need to be emotionally, mentally and physically ready and to have your DH's support there with you is important- so it is good that you both agreed to put it off for a month. Nikki is just great!! She makes everything easier- even just her friendy smile when you arrive (or when she arrives if I'm there for an eary apt. and get there before her). I couldn't believe it when she told me she was only 23- she is so mature and is so good at what she does. She has been with New Life for 2 years. I think you will be ok with the injections. Honestly- I was so nervous, but once I did the first one, i knew I would be fine. My DH would help me get it/them ready and then I would sit down, he would leave and I would do it. He would come back when I was done and dispose of them for me- so it allowed me to relax and he felt important too He would also get me some water if I needed it to help me relax.
That is great that you already have a child. Is it a boy or a girl? Does he/she understand what is going on? Was it the same DH?

My older sister is having her second baby (scheduled c-section May 25), but she is huge already. She is going for an apt today to see how big the baby is. I am so happy for her, but a part of me is upset, frustrated, jelous etc Her first son was born at 9.3lbs, and she is already much bigger this time. Her apt today will tell the Dr. how big the baby is. So we could have a new baby in the family very soon. Its hard for me also as her husband lives in New York right now, going through dentisty. He came home for my other sisters wedding for 2 weeks in August and then we found out she was preggers. Life is so unfair sometimes.

yes, I agree with you before begining the IVF process you need to have all the things that you mentioned above but Im just adding one more Financially.Since I joined this site , I have gained the cofidence in myself and I feel more optimistic. I think is the best way to realise stress by taking to others who have been going through the similar situation as yours .

I have a 6 year daughter and is with the same hus. Well, at that time we didnt plan to have any kid ..I was suprised when my family doc said :" you are preg."
I havent told my daughter anything so far..I think she is to young to understand whats going on..She is keep asking me when the God's angel goona bring our baby ..I feel so down and dont know what to tell her..Life is so unfair ..

Woow Niki is only 23 , yes she looks mature for her age and she must love her profession. I like the fact that se she is really really niceeeeeeeee...

In my case , all my family member are not in Canada.Its so sad ..I feel homesick most of the time ( I have been living in Ca for 7 years )

Sorry it took me so long to respond, I have been sick with a bad cold- trying to go to work, but finally relented and took the day off today. One of my biggest stresses through all of this missing so much work. I am a teacher and it is so hard taking this much time off. I just keep telling myself, I have to do what is best for me and that I can't worry about it. Do you work?
I think when you feel ready, if ever, then you will tell your daughter. There is no sense in rushing it - especially if she wont understand.
Where are you from? Does your family back home know what you are going through now?
I too have become more optomistic since I joined this site- lets hope it works for both of us.

I hope you are doing better, Its was a good idea to stay home and try to get some rest and when you feel better you can head back to work .
I am not working , I am a full time student and this is my last semester of collage ( Ofically, the last week of school is in the middle of Agust ) So , I will be kind of busy during the summer time and Im feeling a bit worried about how Im going to manage the stress.But, Im trying to be positive... bacuse the best way to handel stress its not to get more stressed ..lol
Im from East Europe and havent been back home for some time ( 4 years ) and the reason behined it is that I always find a good excuse not to go ... " It only serves to make me feel down ..' All my freind have a good job , nice life ..but Its fine I have made my deccision " Canda its the best place to raise a family" and my family comes first...
I havent told my family back home what Im going through ..I dont want them to be worried.. How about you? Have you told your sister?
My biopsy will be next week and hope its going to be in RH.

Hey sorry it took me a while to respond, it has been so busy here. We have 40 people coming for a Mother's Day BBQ today. i thought I would pop on and give a quick response.
Went for my day 3 yesterday (Mississauga) as it needed to be done on a Saturday. then i go back starting Friday for monitoring and hopefully transferring shortly after that.
I didn't tell my family for a long time, but being such a close family I could only be "sick" for so long. so I did end up telling my family and I am glad I did as they are a great support. i still don't like talking about it with them though because they just don't get it.

Sorry, for the late replay..and Thank you!! I have been really busy ...had a deferr exam and on top of that late time classes.
I went to Mississaga on Sunday (cylcle day 18 ) as its the only clinic open that day. So , the biopsy appoitmenet is schedual for next week and my last blood work was this wensday I hate the blood work part

The family support is great bacuse they are the people you can depend and is there for comfort .But , it depends If my mom would know ...She will not agree with us (She doesnt like the idea of me going through tough times and she keeps telling me 1 child is more than enough )

Hey no worries on the late reply, I actually haven't been on since then either. I was thinking of you so I thought I would come on to check if you had replied, so don't worry about it.
I understand why you wouldn't tell your mom then.
As long as your husband is supportive then at least you have him to lean on and talk to about everything.
Good luck with the biopsy- what day is it on? You will do great.
I don't like the bloodwork either, but I feel like its a little pain for a big gain hopefully. It is going to get harder though as now it is getting warmer out and I am wearing T-shirts. Sometimes I bruise and I look like a drug addict and I don't want people asking questions. I just really hope this is the last round! I go on Friday to start the monitoring until I ovulate then we book the transfer. I know it's getting closer but it still seems like such a long wait. I find waiting the hardest part.

My biopsy is on monday and again I have to drive all the way down to Miss.Since I cant drive on highway ,It will take me around 1 h drive each way.Omg I have the same problem, I cant wear Tshirts and having aroud a curious sis-in-law ( I have to say, its really stressful)Last month, had some health problem and my family doc runed some blood test so I was wearig T-shirt ( had a good excuse lol). Next month, its goig to be hard sice the weather is getting warmer and I bruise all the time ..Do you have a long natural cycle? My cycle is a long one around 21 days to ovulate ...Lets hope its our last round and June will be our lucky month

I usually ovulate anywhere from day 14- 18. Hopefully sooner than later so I get get moving already. I go tomorrow to start monitoring and tomorrow is day 9. I should really be going Saturday but I didn't want to go to Mississauga so he said I can go tomorrow. Hopefully I won't have to go over the weekend, but I will find out tomorrow. So do you take the bus or do you just go on a route where no highway is necessary?
We'll talk over the weekend- enjoy it, it is going to be great weather.

Hey my apt went well. Didn't see the doc as he isn't there in the early hours of the day on Friday . They put me on something called Climara patches to help thicken my lining. I have never had an issue with the thickness but Nikki called to tell me this Friday afternoon and that she called it in to the pharmacy. I tried calling her back as she told me all of this on my machine but then the clinic was closed.. So I'm a bit confused but I am using them as I figured I just need to trust what they are telling me to do.
I go on Monday also now for blood and ultrasound. What time is your apt? Even though I hate going early I find the trick with the weekends there is to get the earliest apt possible because then they aren't backed up so you don't end up waiting forever.

Hmmm now that Im thinking abaut it you are right... The only time when i was done in within 30 min was when my app was at 8 oclock. Later in the morning it gets really busy at the clinic...and my app is at 11 oclock.At what time is yours? My DD is coming with me on monday since I cant find noone to stay with her..my DH cant come he has to work .So, in case you see someone in the office with a 6 years old child thats me ...

My apt was at 7:20 so I have already gone and come back. It was good nice and quick. Dr Daya figures I will ovulate in another 4-5 days. So I won't see you there today. I will be going again on wednesday to Richmond Hill.
So my sister had her baby yesterday. I spent most of the day at the hospital. My nephew was born via c-section at a whopping 11lbs1oz. He is very cute but HUGE.
Good luck with your biopsy today and let me know how it goes!! Will your daughter be going in with you?

My appoitment went well despite the long wating time. My DD came with me , she was not feeling well and she was wating for me in the wating area. Today's biopsy was't painful at all ( my body got used to it easly since is my sec time..)The next step, have to call the clinic in my cycle day 1 to book the cd3 app .
Short question,what grade of school do you teach?

I am so glad your biopsy went well. I have had 3 now and do find them quite painful but short so it's ok. I am glad it is over for you and now onto the next step. My period usually came 7 or 8 days after the biopsy.
I teach grade 6 at a school in Richmond Hill.
Do you work? I can't remember.
I am at the clinic almost every day this week . Until I ovulate then I start more meds The transfer should be next week is my guess.
