Hello:
My husband was refferred to a urologist after 2 SA. His last count was .001/ml (so I guess like 3000) sperm. The notes at the bottom say "ICSI" Appear possible. All my tests are normal. I am wondering what additional tests the urologist will have us do? We are ready just to move on with IVF, is there some tests that are required before that can happen? Thanks for your response.

Me: 28 - no issues
DH: 30 - LOW low low sperm count (200,000) Motility, Morphology and genetics= Normal

Sept 24: 5dt - Tranferred 1 beautiful hatching blast 4BB - (1 other on ice)
Oct 8: BFP! Beta 836
Oct 10: Second Beta1690
Oct 12: u/s - 5.2 Weeks - Gestional and Yolk sac seen!
Oct 19: u/s - 6.2 Weeks- Heartbeat 110bpm...we are so happy!
Nov 8: u/s - 9.1 Weeks - Heartbeat 177bpm...growing on track... we are in love.
Nov 30- 12.2 Week Scan/NT screen & Blood: Heartbeat 160bpm... showing of "her" long legs
* IPS all Normal- 1:20,000 of DS
Dec 5: 13 Weeks- Midwife appointment/physical assessment:Heartbeat: 135..maybe sleepy?
Jan 7: 2nd Midwife Appointment- 17.5 Weeks: Everything is great. Iron is good and hb was 140.
Jan 21: 19.5 Week Ultrasound: -It's a wiggly baby GIRL! Growing right on track- Hb 153
Feb 20: 24 Week Midwife Appointment: Hb 140, up 15lbs, belly 3 weeks behind- All looking good.
Mar 18: 27.5 Week Midwife Appointment: Hb 140, up 20lbs, belly measuring 25.5 weeks (2.5 Weeks behind): All is good!
March 19: Gestional Diabetes Test- All Clear!
April 9th: 31 Week Midwife Appointment: Hb 130, up 25lbs, belly measuring 30 weeks (1 week behind), Iron low. Looking good!
April 22nd: U/S: Still a girl, 4lbs 11ozs, Head down, Feet under my ribs.. LOTS OF HAIR!
April 24th: 33 Week Midwife Appointment: Good heartbeat...no belly growth- still 30 weeks in size.
May 6th: 35 Week Midwife Appointment: Good heartbeat..belly is now measuring 33 Weeks... Iron Super low.
May 21nd: 37 Week U/S & Midwife Appointment: Good Heartbeat... belly measuring 36 Weeks.. Ultrasound: Weight- 6.5lbs!
May 29th: 38 Week Midwife Appointment:
June 10th: U/S
EDD: June 12, 2013

Hello
My husband met with a urologist after his SA came back with zero sperm. The urologist did a biopsy to see if he was at least producing sperm and found that thankfully he was and it was all mature. The Dr's then refferred us to IVF/ICSI in Calgary. The Calgary clinic made him do a blood test for Cystic Fibrosis as it is mandatory there anyways when there is male fertility. My tests all came back good as well. That test takes 4-6 weeks they said for the results. After that one comes back (should have been back beginning of this week) we are good to keep calling in my periods to the hotline and wait for our name to come up the list.

The most important test would be those confirming the number, motility and viability of the limited number of sperm that were found. It is very important to confirm the quality of the sperm before proceeding with ICSI since they are very few in number.
