March 2011: consult for IVF
Lots and lots of bloodwork
October 2011: Hysterscopy to remove polyp
January 18th: Started Daronda 20 units
January 30th: BW and Daronda reduced to 15 units
February 2nd: BW and Daronda reduced to 10 units
February 8th: BW and Daronda remains at 10 units
Told to start stimming on February 16th
Febraury 16th: Started Menopur
February 20th:BW E2 535

Decided to adopt.....approved and waiting until agency closed in Nov. 2009:(

FET#2-Jan. 27 2011-BFN
FET#3-July 1, 2011.-BFP! looked okay for a while then ended "pregnancy of unknown location"
Four embryos left.
FET#4-Feb. 17, 2012 two embryos transferred-grow embies grow! beta #1 44, #2 51 #3 207, #4 375...
Found out it was ectopic lost the embies and both tubes
FET#5-one day with our last 2 frozen embryos
Started ttc in fall 04

Went to fertility specialist in 2002
LAP in 2003 found ENDO and cleaned it up
2003 did 6 cycles of Letrozole and Clomid. Couldn't use every cycle due to cysts so it took well over a year.
2003-2004 hated the way I felt on the drugs so after my treatment I opted out for the recommended IVF
Another LAP to clean up ENDO in fall of 2005
Winter 2005 decided to adopt
2007 finished our PRIDE training and started Fostering With A View
2007-2008 fostered two beautiful toddlers that went back to their BM
2009-2011 fostered a 1 month old infant and 2 year old toddler for 706 days. Went to another adoptive family and because we were 3 weeks short of our two years our lawyer can't get us to even see a judge. We have no rights.
December 2010 had another LAP to clean up ENDO
April 2011 looking into IVF - Started acupuncture
January 16, 2012 went for IVF in Mexico via IVF Cancun and International Patient Facilitators
January 27 ER, 5 eggs, 4 fertilized, 3 made it to day 3
January 30 had 3dt of three embryos (one 8 cell grade 1, 2 x 5 cell grade 3 - 1 being best)
February 10 beta 224!
February 16 beta 1021! Please stick little bean! xoxo
February 27 6w3d U/S one bean with a perfect HB!
March 14 8w5d U/S, our little bean still growing, HB 180!
May 23 18w5d anatomy U/S looks like a girl!
June 14 22 week U/S had to go back to recheck the heart and spine, guess what, it's a BOY!

Yay, so exciting! That is today! 
I am lurking here because I am scared to post in my due date thread (Oct). I don't want to jinx anything. Although it sucks that those of us in the same IVF thread are split up with due dates.

Me 36, DH 41, TTC since 1999
Went to fertility specialist in 2002
LAP in 2003 found ENDO and cleaned it up
2003 did 6 cycles of Letrozole and Clomid. Couldn't use every cycle due to cysts so it took well over a year.
2003-2004 hated the way I felt on the drugs so after my treatment I opted out for the recommended IVF
Another LAP to clean up ENDO in fall of 2005
Winter 2005 decided to adopt
2007 finished our PRIDE training and started Fostering With A View
2007-2008 fostered two beautiful toddlers that went back to their BM
2009-2011 fostered a 1 month old infant and 2 year old toddler for 706 days. Went to another adoptive family and because we were 3 weeks short of our two years our lawyer can't get us to even see a judge. We have no rights.
December 2010 had another LAP to clean up ENDO
April 2011 looking into IVF - Started acupuncture
January 16, 2012 went for IVF in Mexico via IVF Cancun and International Patient Facilitators
January 27 ER, 5 eggs, 4 fertilized, 3 made it to day 3
January 30 had 3dt of three embryos (one 8 cell grade 1, 2 x 5 cell grade 3 - 1 being best)
February 10 beta 224!
February 16 beta 1021! Please stick little bean! xoxo
February 27 6w3d U/S one bean with a perfect HB!
March 14 8w5d U/S, our little bean still growing, HB 180!
May 23 18w5d anatomy U/S looks like a girl!
June 14 22 week U/S had to go back to recheck the heart and spine, guess what, it's a BOY!

meds -- Menopur and Orgalutran
Feb 16 -- ER 11 eggs retrieved -- 4 mature, 2 borderline and 5 immature 5 ICSI'd and 3 fertilized
Feb 18 -- ET 2 day 2 embies -- grade 1-2 and 2
March 6 -- confirmed BFP by clinic (no beta in Calgary)
March 23 -- 7 wk ultrasound -- one beautiful little bean 153 bpm and 1.13cm long
May 3 -- NT scan -- uncooperative baby results in reschedule 163 bpm and 7.0cm long

DH is very excited now that it's been confirmed. He was trying to keep me grounded after I did my HPT on Sunday..poor guy!!
We've told our parents because they both knew we were going through IVF and my sister that lives with us.
The clinic just says that betas aren't done in Calgary. That's the only explanation we get. We could probably push for it if we really wanted our numbers.

rmd-your clinic does no betas and mine is sending me for my 4th one tomorrow! I'm having so many because I started off low. We'll see what tomorrow says.

Just lurking here for now, wishful thinking, hoping against all odds. My official test date is March 12th which (if all goes well!!!) would put me at November 17th as a due date.
rmd: I just noticed today that the lab requisition from Foothills is only for a urine test which surprised (scared) me but I'm relieved to see that's the norm for them. They didn't give a you a reason for that eh? I just assumed the beta was "industry standard". Do you know if they will do a Beta blood test if the urine test is positive?

OverTheHill -- no reason and no follow-up beta after positive urine test. You might be able to request a beta from your own doctor. Good Luck!!!

rmd: So does a '+' urine test constitute a "success" for the clinic? Will they be doing a follow up ultrasound at least? At what point are you discharged back into the care of your regular physician? Sorry to pester you with so many questions.

OTH: No worries...it's nice to be able to help!! As far as success for the clinic goes, they record a '+' test result as a success but they track two different things (as most clinics do, I think). They have a pregnancy rate and a live birth rate so we can figure out ourselves what the odds are. Everyone with a positive urine test gets a 7 week ultrasound that the clinic schedules for you if you're in Calgary. They send a letter to your regular doctor so they know that you are pregnant and recommend that you contact your doc before the ultrasound. Hope that helps!!

Congratulations. Sorry i am crashing in.
Foothills does beta, i don't know why they would tell you they do not do beta's. They gave me an initial beta requisition with no request from me. I then requested a follow up beta from them. I was very insistent on getting a follow-up beta and was ready to start freaking out if i did not get it. i told them i knew for a fact that one beta test does not count and at a minimum 2 is required. They gave me the requisition for the follow up. I think i also had an RE who was concerned about my mental state ;-)
I did get additional beta test following the 2 from foothills, but i went to my GP and she gave me a standing order requisition form so i did not have to keep going back for more forms. I assure it was a great relief as i was going mental with the waiting which was not very good. One doctor recommended i may need psych help…..I'm like i don't need psych help just give me the forms and everything is fine.
Foothills is great but sometimes they can be very callous or blasé in understanding the emotional and mental torture in waiting, I don't care if they have done this 1 million time. I mean give me a break. How difficult is it to just give a patient a requisition form for a beta.. …Seriously
Anyway, push for them to order the test or ask your GP as RMD said
