It sure is nice to hear from you ladies again! I like the idea of a thread just for us!

Rokgerl- Congrats on your BFP!

Maralee-It is frustrating after 18 months that DH would want to keep going naturally, it feels like time is of the essence, but who knows right? Is genetic testing covered by MSP?

AFM: BFN :( I'm spotting today, AF is moments away. I feel so disheartened, I really thought it would work like it did last time. Not sure how much longer I can continue with this. And IVF isn't even in my thoughts. Emotionally I don't think I can handle it....or afford it. How are u guys raising the funds? Just saving all your pennies?

I was really disappointed with my last IUI nurse, she left the room with her gloves on to get a smaller speculum after trying the larger one unsuccessfully, then she returned to do the procedure, which is a STERILE procedure, with her "dirty" gloves! I wanted to say something, but I didn't want to piss off the person holding my future. Plus she took so damn long that it felt like my vagina was going to burn off in the gyne light!! Then she reinserted a second time because she didn't "get it all" from the test tube! Why couldnt she extract 2mls completely into the first syringe? She probably cooked the sperm while trying to find my cervix with that damn light!

A week later we went back to Kelowna so DH could see a reproductive urologist. Turns out DH has a small varicocele, but the doc doesn't think it may be worth fixing. In fact he didn't think his sperm was "all that bad". The doc did say something that bothered me though, he said the problem isn't necessarily DH, it could be me, and we could "potentially go off with other partners and have no reproductive problems at all".....WTF? So now I feel like that's some msg that we're reproductively incompatible, and not meant for each other?

Me 33 DH 29
TTC since Oct 2010
HSG ok in Oct 2011
DH small varicocele but essentially normal

Its so awesome to get updates on all you ladies!

Excited - Love the idea of another thread just so we can all keep in touch no matter where we are on our journeys!

Rokgerl - I most definitely am going to find out the sex. I didn't with my first so I figure with this one I will. I hope your ultrasound goes well and can't wait to hear all the details! I know its hard not to worry when you don't really have any pregnancy symptoms but with my first I had absolutely none. Felt completely normal actually. With this one though its the complete opposite. :)

RachelT - That is awesome to hear your ultrasound went well. How are you feeling?

DM - That would be so frustrating to have the clinic get confused and then cause things to be delayed for you... Did you have to eat any costs due to their mistake? If so I would think they should reimburse you.

MB - Sorry to hear about your spotting but have you POAS yet? Maybe it is just spotting from pregnancy? Your IUI story is awful, I can't believe the nurse would do that! And then what the urologist said is just completely ridiculous! How insensitive can a guy be, really now...
