So, I went in for my 2nd beta today. I'm still waiting to hear back from the Dr. with the results. I did get a BFP with my first Beta. Posted Image

Now, once I get my results for todays beta I have to wait 2.5 weeks until our first ultrasound! I think I'm going to go insane! Lol. I don't have a 9-5 job, I make jewelry. Since the IVF process began I haven't had an interest to pull my beads out! What should I do to pass time?!?! What do you ladies do? I am tired of sitting around and watching TV waiting for the day to end so that I'm one day closer to whatever the next step is! I need a distraction. Posted Image

5/14/11 Artificial Insemination
5/26/11 Period

6-10/11 Break...
11/11/11 Began BCP
11/25/11 Began Lupron injections
11/28/11 Last BCP
12/2/11 Began Follistim injections
12/11/11 Ovidrel injection
12/13/11 ER (39 eggs!!!) My ovaries got as big as grapefruits (ave. size=almond) everything was pushing up into my abdomen making it hard to catch a breath :/
12/14/11 Embryologists report: 31 healthy enough to be fertilized through ICSI, 8 abnormal. 15 fertilized/developed perfectly, 10-abnormal, & 6-still being monitored...I also began Prometrium today, later today I got a call that 2/6 being monitored made correct developments, bringing the # of fertilized eggs up to 17!!!
12/16/11 ET (2 healthy 8 cell embryos) 5-Cryopreserved, 14-did not fertilize or were abnormal, 10-remain in culture Today the Dr. gave my husband and I the little dish that our transferred embryo's were in and told us that it was out first "cradle!!!"

12/21/11 Began Estrace
12/30/11 1st Beta- 478!!! BFP!!! We're pregnant!!! OMG!!!!! We never thought this day would come!!!!!!!!
1/4/12 2nd Beta- got the call @ 3:30pm! It was 3,151!!! WOW!!!
1/18/12 1st Ultrasound! 7 weeks 1 day-----We're having TWINS!!! 1 measured 7w1d w/ 144bpm & the other measured 7w0d w/ 145bpm
2/6/12 Dr.'s appointment at Ob-Gyn---babies look great, saw both heartbeats & 1 measured 10w1d the other measured 10w0d

So, for those of you keeping track of my "story," I finally received the call yesterday from the Jones Institute for the results of my 2nd Beta-------drum roll please................it was 3,151!!! So, now all I have to do is figure out how to pass the time for the next 2 weeks because January 18th will be our first Ultrasound!!! We should be able to hear the heartbeat(s) by then and see how many "miracles" I'm carrying! I will be 7 weeks & 1 day. All of our friends and family (that we have told) have been coming to us telling us they're having dreams about us. Friend of the family---"I had a dream that you're going to have twins, 1 boy and 1 girl!" My Mom---"I had a vision of you in the hospital bed holding one baby in each arm!" My husband---"I had a dream that you pulled your shirt up and I could see 4 arms and 4 legs poking your tummy!" My Mom (again)---"I had a dream that we heard 3 heartbeats at your first ultrasound!!!" & then other friends/family just have a "feeling" that it's going to be multiples. My Father n law, around New Years, jokingly said, "Come on now, quit being greedy, start thinking about people other than yourself and go ahead and just have 8!" Lol. Can you tell this will be their very first grandchild(ren)!!! I will have however many "miracles" God wants to bless us with! I thank him everyday for blessing us up to this point I just pray that our baby(s) is/are healthy. I also want all of you to know that anything is possible, especially with faith and when you believe. Keep your chins up and keep the faith. I'll be praying that all of you beginning this journey, all of you with BFN, & all of you with BFP will get through and make it out ok. I'm praying for HEALTHY babies and sending "BABY DUST" your way!!!!!!! Good luck with your little "miracles!!!" Much love!

Hi there and Congrats!

I'm in the same boat as you, waiting for my first u/s which is Jan 16 - yes, time goes by slowly.

I do suggest that you pull those beads back out - if not you will drive yourself insane! The more things that you can do to pass the time - better off you will be! LOL

U/S - June 28 -30 weeks - baby A still bum down and baby b head down.....it's looking like a c-section for me!
U/S - July 13 - 32 weeks - baby A has turned (head down) their weights - baby A 3lbs 15 oz and baby B 4lbs 3oz
U/S - July 23 - 34 weeks - both babies doing well - measuring right on track.
U/S - July 27 - 34 weeks - part 2 - just getting a 'quick' u/s done - babies lookin' good...though, baby B is being squished by baby A.....
U/S - Aug 3 - 35 weeks - induction date decided!! thank goodness - 'cause I am done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Induction date is August 18th - but I am already 2-3cm dialated - so we'll see if I meet 'the date'. Baby A weighs 6 lb 6 oz and baby B is 5lb 15 oz.
U/S - Aug 13 - 37 weeks - still sitting at 3cm dilated - confirmed induction date with L&D August 18th.

This pregnancy has been a long haul and I'm glad that it's nearly over!

Our 2 healthy baby boys arrived on Sunday August 19th - we are thrilled and over the moon......family is finally complete and now we can move on to the next chapter in our lives.......

I didn't even ask her what my numbers were. I'm such a rookie I don't even think of these things. Yes - working full time IS my hobby! That and going to the gym. So between that, I'm actually able to keep myself very occupied.

What were your numbers?

Hey Lea & Nelly! Please forgive me! I'm so new on here I didn't even realize anyone had responded to my post, still trying to figure things out!

Lea---my US was supposed to be on the 17th but when I called to schedule it they said my Dr. wouldn't be working that day Posted Image

Hey Ladies - I am also waiting for my 1st ultrasound which is next Tuesday, but I am totally freaked out today as all my symptoms have disappeared. My breasts were sooooo tender and sore and then today it all went away. Trying to stay positive, but this happened to me in the past.
How about you ladies. Any symptoms and if so have they been consistent ?

You're soooo lucky to have your u/s on Tuesday....i still have to wait another week....'tis killing me!! LOL.

Pretty much all of my pregnancy signs had left me......sore boobs - gone. morning sickness - gone. But the sickness is starting to come back, in the afternoons though, i'll take it!!

Best of luck with your u/s - will be checking for your results!!

U/S - June 28 -30 weeks - baby A still bum down and baby b head down.....it's looking like a c-section for me!
U/S - July 13 - 32 weeks - baby A has turned (head down) their weights - baby A 3lbs 15 oz and baby B 4lbs 3oz
U/S - July 23 - 34 weeks - both babies doing well - measuring right on track.
U/S - July 27 - 34 weeks - part 2 - just getting a 'quick' u/s done - babies lookin' good...though, baby B is being squished by baby A.....
U/S - Aug 3 - 35 weeks - induction date decided!! thank goodness - 'cause I am done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Induction date is August 18th - but I am already 2-3cm dialated - so we'll see if I meet 'the date'. Baby A weighs 6 lb 6 oz and baby B is 5lb 15 oz.
U/S - Aug 13 - 37 weeks - still sitting at 3cm dilated - confirmed induction date with L&D August 18th.

This pregnancy has been a long haul and I'm glad that it's nearly over!

Our 2 healthy baby boys arrived on Sunday August 19th - we are thrilled and over the moon......family is finally complete and now we can move on to the next chapter in our lives.......

Hi Lea - that is a long wait !! Time goes by so slowly when you are waiting!!

I am trying to think positively, but I analyze every lack of symptom or disappearing symptom and get myself all worked up.
I haven't had any morning sickness this time around and I would do anything for it as I find it reassuring. Pretty sad when you are wishing for vomit. LOL.

I was thinking of buying the clear blue HPT - digital one - that tells you how many weeks preggers you are.......i found it to be bang on for my last cycle......

Zoe & Lea---Try not to stress so much over the missing symptoms...getting yourself worked up with all that stress isn't good! Just try to stay positive! (I know it's difficult) My symptoms have consisted of swollen/tender breasts, slight cramping every now and then, I get extremely exhausted VERY quickly, and I have only have 1 wave of nausea...I woke up at 12:30AM and had to run straight to the bathroom, no vomit, but it probably would've felt better if I did! Lol.

The wait is killing me as well!!! Jan. 18th can't come fast enough!!!!!!!!

12/13/11 ER (39 eggs!!!) My ovaries got as big as grapefruits (ave. size=almond) everything was pushing up into my abdomen making it hard to catch a breath :/
12/14/11 Embryologists report: 31 healthy enough to be fertilized through ICSI, 8 abnormal. 15 fertilized/developed perfectly, 10-abnormal, & 6-still being monitored...I also began Prometrium today, later today I got a call that 2/6 being monitored made correct developments, bringing the # of fertilized eggs up to 17!!!
12/16/11 ET (2 healthy 8 cell embryos) 5-Cryopreserved, 14-did not fertilize or were abnormal, 10-remain in culture Today the Dr. gave my husband and I the little dish that our transferred embryo's were in and told us that it was out first "cradle!!!"

12/21/11 Began Estrace
12/30/11 1st Beta- 478!!! BFP!!! We're pregnant!!! OMG!!!!! We never thought this day would come!!!!!!!!
1/4/12 2nd Beta- got the call @ 3:30pm! It was 3,151!!! WOW!!!
1/18/12 1st Ultrasound! 7 weeks 1 day-----We're having TWINS!!! 1 measured 7w1d w/ 144bpm & the other measured 7w0d w/ 145bpm
2/6/12 Dr.'s appointment at Ob-Gyn---babies look great, saw both heartbeats & 1 measured 10w1d the other measured 10w0d

Hi ladies! I just wanted to mention that my symptoms came and went throughout my 1st tri. Then as soon as I hit 2nd tri they disappeared. It's hard, but try not to read into it too much. Best of luck to everyone!

Hi ladies - I'm not as far along as you are, I'm five weeks five days as of today and I still have no symptoms. My boobs feel normal, I'm not nauseated and I have my normal levels of energy. Still waiting to feel even the slightest bit pregnant. My US is not until the 23rd. Anyone else not having any symptoms at all?

Thanks every one for the encouragement.
Nelly- I am 6 week today and barely have any symptoms other than my breasts being tender on and off. When I was pregnant in the summer, I had every symptom and very early on. Worries me, but I know every pregnancy is different. Hopefully I can breath a sigh of relief on Tues. Thankfully my clinic does ultrasounds week 6! The wait sucks.

Hi Nelly
I didn't have any symptoms at that stage either. Enjoy it while you can. My nausea set in at 8.5 weeks and it was all day every day up until about week 14. Then the last week it has been on and off. More off, but I still get it when I eat. Can't wait for that symptom to be gone for good. Are you tired at all? That will come soon too! Other than that I had sore nipples but never got sore breasts like other women. It is different for everyone. We just want all the symptoms in the world to keep validating that we are indeed pregnant. Good luck at your ultrasound!!!

Zoe101 & andstillwaiting - thanks for the response. I'll just wait then for the rough patches to hit! I'm sure they are on thier way.

I said before in this thread that I had plenty to keep me occupied, but i realized this weekend that on Saturday night I was actually bored. I haven't been bored in ages. But yes, its a realization that I have to expand my social life beyond going to a buddies house with my husband to have some beers and watch hockey. I've been avoiding social life ever since I found out I was pregnant because I'm dying to tell people and at the same time wanting to keep the pregnancy private for a while.

Is anyone else feeling kind of isolated during this early time in your pregnancy?

Nelly---I feel like I do nothing but stay in my house. :/ I really want to hang out with friends but do things that don't cost money! Lol. It seems like the only time I do much is on the weekends. I'm starting to get extreme cabin fever. I don't know how much longer I can handle it! I may just have to start going for walks or something, even if it's by myself.

A new sympton that started last night for me-----heartburn/indigestion.

I am 5 weeks and 6 days today and my symptoms are now- sore nipples, heartburn/indigestion, feeling tired, but that's really about it. "What to expect when you're expecting" is a book that a friend of ours gave us and the section about the 2nd month straight up says that you may question whether or not you are really pregnant.......so what you're feeling is normal. If I don't feel a symptom I question it as well but I'm just staying positive. I refuse to stress myself out over it...my HPT is proof enough! (The count down continues to my first Ulstrasound!!! 9 more days!!!)

Nelly - for sure i feel isolated! i don't want to go out unless i can wear an oversized shirt, coat anything big! I look like i am 5-6 preggers already! I hate the way i looks so i perfer to stay home and not have anyone ask "are you pregnant'? For sure i would lie anyway.

We will only tell our families if we hear a h/b and if all is good then we will probably wait 12-16 weeks before we really make it public.

RE follow up November 1st. RE says Dh swimmers are of poor quality and my eggs MAYBE old 'cause i'm 40 (lovely) only way to rule out my egg quality is to try donor sperm.

U/S - June 28 -30 weeks - baby A still bum down and baby b head down.....it's looking like a c-section for me!
U/S - July 13 - 32 weeks - baby A has turned (head down) their weights - baby A 3lbs 15 oz and baby B 4lbs 3oz
U/S - July 23 - 34 weeks - both babies doing well - measuring right on track.
U/S - July 27 - 34 weeks - part 2 - just getting a 'quick' u/s done - babies lookin' good...though, baby B is being squished by baby A.....
U/S - Aug 3 - 35 weeks - induction date decided!! thank goodness - 'cause I am done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Induction date is August 18th - but I am already 2-3cm dialated - so we'll see if I meet 'the date'. Baby A weighs 6 lb 6 oz and baby B is 5lb 15 oz.
U/S - Aug 13 - 37 weeks - still sitting at 3cm dilated - confirmed induction date with L&D August 18th.

This pregnancy has been a long haul and I'm glad that it's nearly over!

Our 2 healthy baby boys arrived on Sunday August 19th - we are thrilled and over the moon......family is finally complete and now we can move on to the next chapter in our lives.......

Oh2be - we are on the same schedule I see as I am 5w6d today. Still no symptoms. I'm home from work today because I've got a raging cold in my face! Normally I would be the type to take some DayQuill and get to work but not now. I guess I'm feeling isolated, but at least its my own choice. I've watched more movies in the past month that I think i have seen all year.

Lea- yeah so far we have only told my mom and my best friend. They were the only ones who knew I was going for an IUI so naturally they wanted to know if it worked. We too will wait until our US and if everything checks out there we will tell close family. So you are showing already???

Nelly - not showing, but i 'look' like i'm pregnant. it happens to some people sometimes. I never had this happen to me last time, so who knows.....

Zoe - good luck at your u/s today! Hope everything went well!!

So, your first US isn't until the 23rd? I've been watching a lot of TV/Movies/DVR as well.........probably to much. Posted Image

I want to exercise (at least) but I've ben having some breathing issues...like I can't catch a deep breath. It's not every single day but it wears me down and I can't to anything that exerts me. It started when I was doing my injections and my ovaries started getting bigger then went away Christmas day and came back within the past few days.

This is my very first pregnancy...how about you ladies? I think that's why I'm so anxious for the 18th to get here!!!

5/14/11 Artificial Insemination

6-10/11 Break...
11/11/11 Began BCP
11/25/11 Began Lupron injections

12/2/11 Began Follistim injections
12/11/11 Ovidrel injection
12/13/11 ER (39 eggs!!!) My ovaries got as big as grapefruits (ave. size=almond) everything was pushing up into my abdomen making it hard to catch a breath :/
12/14/11 Embryologists report: 31 healthy enough to be fertilized through ICSI, 8 abnormal. 15 fertilized/developed perfectly, 10-abnormal, & 6-still being monitored...I also began Prometrium today, later today I got a call that 2/6 being monitored made correct developments, bringing the # of fertilized eggs up to 17!!!
12/16/11 ET (2 healthy 8 cell embryos) 5-Cryopreserved, 14-did not fertilize or were abnormal, 10-remain in culture Today the Dr. gave my husband and I the little dish that our transferred embryo's were in and told us that it was out first "cradle!!!"

12/21/11 Began Estrace
12/30/11 1st Beta- 478!!! BFP!!! We're pregnant!!! OMG!!!!! We never thought this day would come!!!!!!!!
1/4/12 2nd Beta- got the call @ 3:30pm! It was 3,151!!! WOW!!!
1/18/12 1st Ultrasound! 7 weeks 1 day-----We're having TWINS!!! 1 measured 7w1d w/ 144bpm & the other measured 7w0d w/ 145bpm
2/6/12 Dr.'s appointment at Ob-Gyn---babies look great, saw both heartbeats & 1 measured 10w1d the other measured 10w0d

Thread crashing - just to let you guys know not to worry about not feeling any "symptoms" this early on...I didn't feel any "typical" pregnancy symptoms until I got closer to the end of my 1st trimester and even then it was just being really tired and having sore breast at times. I NEVER had morning sickness (which I was told was almost unheard of with twins), although I found that I definitely had some food adversions as I got further into my 1st trimester (I really preferred not to eat a lot of meat at that point). I found that having a positive attitude (which I know is hard after all the disappointments IVF can bring) was the best thing I could do - and busy yourself with work, exercise, and projects...reading, etc. The "waiting game" unfortunately does not end with your first ultrasound - it will rear it's ugly head again after the NT scan and IPS screen, the 20 week ultrasound (anatomy scan), amnio (if you opt for one), and even birth. More then anything, try to spend these next 34+ weeks enjoying your pregnancy. It may not seem like it now, but it really does go by very quickly. Congratulations to all of you on your pregnancies!!

Baseline ultrasound -May 4th
Stimming begins -May 7th
ER - May 16th, retrieved 12, 10 mature
10 out of 10 eggs fertilized with ICSI!!
Our 10 little embryos are tucked in nice and warm, happily growing (positive vibes) in the incubator until May 21st
ET- May 21st: 2 blasts - 1 grade 1, 1 grade 2; 2 blasts made it to frosties!
Beta #1: May 30th - 149. BFP!!!
Beta #2: June 1st - 327.
U/S #1: June 16th - TWINS! Saw heart beats, but will take all measurements at U/S #2
U/S #2: June 23rd - babies measuring right on track, HBs in the 130s!
U/S #3: July 14th - babies both measuring 10w4d, heart rates Baby A 170; Baby B 174.
Anatomy scan and amnio - August 24th: FISH tests and amino are completely normal for both babies. Babies are measuring right on track, Baby A HR 145, Baby B HR 151. Genders are staying a surprise until birth day!
36 week ultrasound - Baby A (breech) measuring 5 lbs 3 oz. and Baby B (vertex) measuring 6 lbs. 12 oz.
We welcomed our daughters to our family January 19, 2012 at 37w4d.
