Smc- I'm sure she'll get it in time, just keep trying. Carter just started in the last few days, Chase has been doing it for months. I think Carter's too lazy/chunky to roll over, I saw him do it once months ago but not since.

My girls aren't even thinking of rolling. Do you keep them on their bellies a lot? Mine hate tummy time on the floor (they scream bloody murder) but love it when we are holding them. Should I just suck up the crying and keep them on their tummies on their mat?

We do tummy time almost every day. They don't mind it too much now, but they used to hate it. We started doing it in the crib, now I put down a blanket on our living room mat(they didn't like the play mat). I put out ALOT of toys, mostly Chase will play with them. I would think doing tummy time while you hold them on your chest would be similar, they're stil working their neck muscles..

Mine are both bearing weight on their legs, sometimes I swear I could let go of Ava, lol.

SO far only Ava is rolling, Liam hates tummy time and only tolerates about 5 minutes. I did a lot of tummy time on my chest so both have really strong necks. Ava was holding her bottle herself last night but only for about 5 seconds, lol. She has really started "talking" the last few days, so cute.

Well we survived the flight to and from Newfoundland. Liam didn't cry at all but Ava cried on the landing, I guess her ears were hurting. I don't think I will travel with them again anytime soon though, they didn't like being away from home and sleeping in a strange place. Ava cried more in 5 days than she has in 4 months, it broke my heart, I just wanted to bring her home! Once we got her to bed after hours of crying she slept ok but Liam got up once or twice each night, I guess checking to make sure I was still there. Ava would only eat for me the whole time. It was very frustrating!

Hi everyone :)
how old were your twins when you moved them to their nursery and or their own cribs?
my twins are almost 4m and DH has wanted them in their own room since 3m. I was/am still not really ready, but lately they have been waking up to one of them being kicked in the head from turning around over night. theyre still sleeping better than I could have imagined, but last night they woke us up twice and I had to move them back to "their side" of the crib. I'm afraid I may have to move them, but I have a great routine going where they are now. *sigh*

Hi BGtwins, We put our twins in their own room in their own beds at about 8 weeks. We found they slept better and so did we. Do you plan to have them share a crib or will they have separate beds in the nursery?

thanks smc!

they will have their own cribs. right now theyre sharing one of them in my room and theyre waking each other up. they started lifting their legs and smashing them down on the matress and in the last few days are twisting themselves around. so the past few nights someone is waking up crying from getting kicked. DH has wanted to move them since 3m, but now that theyre kicking each other, it looks like im going to have to give in and move them :(
i like the comfort of having them right beside me and i feel bad for them to not be together anymore, but i should probably get over it and do whats best for them. they'll probably be happier.

I say do what you feel is best for them and you! It will be harder to separate them the longer you wait I would think but if you are okay with having to work at it later than that is okay too! Our twins hated sleeping together. They constantly kick each other in the face and pull each others ears and hair. We call it "Twin fights" we can't leave them together, someone always ends up crying! lol

Hey I just noticed this! oops, we're doing great over here! i almost lost my mind from 5m-7m, DS pushed 8 teeth...8!
we're ok now, crawling is just starting, although im sure DS would rather be running, he often gets frustrated by his inability to just go.
how is everyone else?
SMC how did the first birthday go? I can not believe how quickly this year is flying by!
