Alright ladies- so my first level was 109 last Tuesday... and today it was 1153 !!!! My doubling time calculates at 48 hrs, which is well within the normal time of 48 to 72 hours :) My clinic is thrilled with the new level and things seem to be going great !! Ultrasound is in 2 weeks + 2 sleeps!!! It sort of feels a bit more real now!

I can officially join this group- YIPEEEEE! First Beta was 767, second was 1670 and third was high 3000's! I was soo scared as I had spottiing and bleeding on and off for a week! Turns out everything is fine. I do think it was one of the embyos not making it though since 2 were transferred. That is my gut feeling for a few different reasons but I don't want to do the TMI thing! So as I said before I am squeaking in here with a due date of March 31st! My birthday is March 29th so it's an incredible birthday gift!!!

FirstTry- I noticed you are due on my birthday! Congrats on your BFP. I understand about the worrying. I can tell you what I tell myself when I start to worry. I tell myself that pregnancy is very natural and normal for women. Our bodies know how to do it. Mother Nature is miraculous and everyting will be fine! Women have babies all the time and think nothing of it but us IVFers are so worried and cautious but in the end we're both having babies and the worrying doesn't make a difference!

Ames- I know what you mean about Betas making it feel more real. It reasurrance that everyting is progressing well. I got a lot of peace of mind knowing my numbers were on track.

Rosachka- Did you ever think way back when we meet at the Pickel Barrel we'd be due date buddies? Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone- Who's finding out what there haviing? We're going to this time. Last time it was a surprise but this time I want to know!

Doubleranebow - those are great numbers!!! As I said earlie, I am so happy that it is finally happening for you!!

No, back then I couldn't even imagine getting a BFP myself and having a due date buddy who I know face to face is just awesome!!!

I am so not into surprises that we are finding out the sex as soon as possible. It's hard for me to refer to the baby in Russian as I need to choose either male or female version of such word so for now I just refer to my baby as "baby". Hope it makes sense :)

Rosashka, I agree! I'm also not into surprises and will find out the first chance I can what we are having. Good call, doubleranebow! I can't stand not knowing. Doubleranebow, that makes sense about the reason you had some bleeding. I hope you stay healthy.

Hi ladies, just checking in. My ultrasound isn't until Aug 11, but I'm happy to report that my nausea, sore bb's and crazy emotions are telling me things seem to be progressing well. Only an hour of very light spotting in the past 9 days, so I'm pretty happy. Every time I go pee (which is VERY often) it is another small victory to see nothing there :)

Hope you ladies are doing well.

Ok, this is probably stupid, but I have to ask. So my bbs are sore just a bit (not much), but my right one hurts more than the left one (and have been hurting and more sore than the left one) AND the right one got bigger (even DH noticed the difference when I asked him). So now I am nervous. Does anyone know if they usually develop unevenly? I really want to breast feed my baby and really hoping to use both bbs.

Butting in just to say the size of the breast has very little bearing on the ability to breast feed so the uneven development you're experiencing - which is as I understand it, perfectly normal - is not something to worry about.

me 49, he 50 30 years together!
History: ectopic; late miscarriage
Many child 'free' years
Success on 2nd IVF (Halleujah! and happy 44th birthday to me!)
SHE'S HERE! SHE'S HERE!Born 05/11/2010 8:25pm. 5 lbs 13 ozs of absolute sunshine!
Tea parties, mud pies, and glitter!
Exploring options for IVF#3 (OE).
Test results appear promising and we are greenlighted.
4 mature eggs retrieved 04/06/14. All fertilized normally; scheduled for transfer on 04/09/14.
All 4 on board; beta set for 04/17/14. Second beta scheduled for 04/21/14. 3rd beta set for 04/23/14. Sono to see what might be going on set for 04/24.
Waiting game is over; another ectopic.

Hi Kelly, Ames, Rosacka and FirstTry!

Ames- I know exactly what you mean about each bathroom break being a small victory! I bled and spotted for a week and now it has stopped since last Friday! 4 days straight now and no spotting! It's a huge relief.

Kelly- My ultrasound is Aug. 18th, when is yours again? It seems like sooo far away!

Rosachka- Don't worry. I've read every women can breastfeed no matter what.

FirstTry- How are you doing? Are you finding out what your having?

AFM- Slowly starting to believe this is actually happening and letting myself feel happy in small doses. The ultrasound can't come soon enough!

Hi to EOE!

oh, wow, just got to the office. We graduated from our clinic (excited, anxious and sad at the same time). The baby is doing good - one day ahead at 8w6d with a h/b of 163. They left the EDD at March 9, 2012 :D. Tonight seeing our family doc for referral to OBGYN. It was a pain finding OBGYN who is good, accepts patients and is associated with the hospital where we want to give birth. Got a lot of refusals until found one which we think should be good :th_aggahhh: How is everyone else doing?

Congrats on graduating from your clinic & good baby h/b. You must be feeling both excited & nervous now that you are looking for an OBGYN to care for you for the next 8 months! Good luck with your GP appointment tonight!

Girls, I was just thinking over what my RE said - I should stop all meds when I hit 10 week mark (which is Friday next week). This is kind of scary. I am on 4 estrace pills and 6 prometrium pills per day. I guess the scary part is that we've already been discharged from the clinic but my appointment with new OBGYN is still in the works, and I should just stop meds without any tests or anything. How are you getting off the progesterone and estrogen support?

I'm taking Premarin (estrogen) pills 4 times a day and utragestrone (I think it's called that/progesterone) 2 pills each, 4 times a day. Those have to be refrigerated, which is a pain when you're traveling or having a busy day. I'm also taking something called tapal I think (I'm just going by memory and not going to look up the names as I type) that is like a small dose aspirin two times a day to keep circulation going well. And then I'm now down to one dose per day (bedtime) of a progesterone vaginal cream. I'm only supposed to have all my meds until 8 weeks, Rosachka. Going by my timeline, I would think that your ten weeks is just fine. Congratulations on your ultrasound! That's so exciting.

Doubleranebow, my u/s is one day after yours! Can't wait.

In the past when I've had miscarriages, they've been by this point, prior to six weeks. I'm looking forward to getting past this week. I'm vegging out so much since my clinic said the first three months are the most critical and I'm being so gentle with my body, which may or may not be necessary, but I'm just not wanting to mess anything up. It's scary. I know the human body is resilient, but I'm taking this approach just because it feels the right thing for me for now. We are on vacation right now in a beach resort in Kenting, Taiwan, and I was playing volleyball in the pool with my husband and daughter and was only going for the ball when it came right to me. I feel like such a wimp, but just want to be extra careful.

I hope everyone is feeling well and doing well and I love to read all of your updates. Thanks to those who pop in to the the March 2012 duedate buddies to say hi or to give advice. It's so nice of everyone.
Me: 49, DH: 48
Married: 25 years
TTC: 23 years
Adopted three kids: 20, 14, 8
Kept thinking I'd eventually get pregnant, to no avail, other than two early term miscarriages.
June 2011, IVF #1 with DE resulted in ZERO out of 18 follicles fertilized naturally.
July 2011, IVF #2 with a new donor, this time with ICSI, 2 embryos transferred on July 13.
July 28, 2011: BFP!!!!!!
One little baby BOY due March 30, 2012.

Baby boy, Isaac David, was born on March 19, 2012, by c-section, weighing 5 lb. 9 oz. and 18 3/4 inches long and "practically perfect in every way!"
