I listened to some of these a lot when trying for #1 and some are new since then. Just thought I would share for people.

Miley Cyrus - The Climb

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith, whoa

Haven't Met You Yet lyrics - Michael Buble
Songwriters: Buble, Michael Steven; Chang, Alan; Foster, Amy;

I'm not surprised, not everything lasts
I've broken my heart so many times, I stopped keeping track
Talk myself in, I talk myself out
I get all worked up, then I let myself down

I tried so very hard not to lose it
I came up with a million excuses
I thought, I thought of every possibility

And I know someday that it'll all turn out
You'll make me work, so we can work to work it out
And I promise you, kid, that I give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet

I might have to wait, I'll never give up
I guess it's half timing, and the other half's luck
Wherever you are, whenever it's right
You'll come out of nowhere and into my life

And I know that we can be so amazing
And, baby, your love is gonna change me
And now I can see every possibility

And somehow I know that it'll all turn out
You'll make me work, so we can work to work it out
And I promise you, kid, I give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet

They say all's fair
In love and war
But I won't need to fight it
We'll get it right and we'll be united

And I know that we can be so amazing
And being in your life is gonna change me
And now I can see every single possibility

And someday I know it'll all turn out
And I'll work to work it out
Promise you, kid, I'll give more than I get
Than I get, than I get, than I get

Oh, you know it'll all turn out
And you'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you kid to give so much more than I get
Yeah, I just haven't met you yet

I just haven't met you yet
Oh, promise you, kid
To give so much more than I get

I said love, love, love, love
Love, love, love, love
(I just haven't met you yet)
Love, love, love, love
Love, love
I just haven't met you yet

"One Step At A Time" - Jordin Sparks

Hurry up and wait
So close, but so far away
Everything that you've always dreamed of
Close enough for you to taste
But you just can't touch

You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you're feeling more and more frustrated
And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting

[Chorus:]
We live and we learn to take
One step at a time
There's no need to rush
It's like learning to fly
Or falling in love
It's gonna happen when it's
Supposed to happen and we
Find the reasons why
One step at a time

You believe and you doubt
You're confused, you got it all figured out
Everything that you always wished for
Could be yours, should be yours, would be yours
If they only knew

You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet
Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it
You know you can if you get the chance
In your face as the door keeps slamming
Now you're feeling more and more frustrated
And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting

[Chorus]

When you can't wait any longer
But there's no end in sight
when you need to find the strength
It's your faith that makes you stronger
The only way you get there
Is one step at a time

[Chorus x2]

I've always liked that Michael Buble song too.

We used to sing Kooks by David Bowie to our embies (and our spirit babies before that). It mostly made me cry. Still does.

Will you stay in our Lovers' Story
If you stay you won't be sorry
'Cause we believe in you
Soon you'll grow so take a chance
With a couple of Kooks
Hung up on romancing

We bought a lot of things to keep you warm and dry
And a funny old crib on which the paint won't dry
I bought you a pair of shoes
A trumpet you can blow
And a book of rules
On what to say to people when they pick on you
'Cause if you stay with us you're gonna be pretty Kookie too

And if you ever have to go to school
Remember how they messed up this old fool
Don't pick fights with the bullies or the cads
'Cause I'm not much cop at punching
Other people's Dads
And if the homework brings you down
Then we'll throw it on the fire
And take the car downtown

Will you stay in our Lovers' Story
If you stay you won't be sorry
'Cause we believe in you
Soon you'll grow so take a chance
With a couple of Kooks
Hung up on romancing

'I Haven't Even Heard You Cry' by Aaron Lines

Well I don't drive through the night these days
It's just not a chance I'm willing to take
And I don't spend my money foolishly
Cause there's important things that you're gonna need
You already got a hold on me

And I haven't even heard you cry
I haven't even looked into your eyes
I haven't held you one time but you've changed my life
And I don't even know your name
But I know I'll never be the same
Oh I can't wait to show you you can fly
And I haven't even heard you cry

You might look like your mom, you might look like me
I don't really care as long as you're healthy
And I'll make mistakes there's no doubt
But loves one thing you won't live without
Cause you own a place in my heart now

And I haven't even heard you cry
I haven't even looked into your eyes
I haven't held you one time but you've changed my life
And I don't even know your name
But I know I'll never be the same
Oh I can't wait to show you you can fly
And I haven't even heard you cry

Well I don't even know your name
But I know I'll never be the same
Oh I can't wait to show you you can fly
I'm thinking about first steps and bike rides
And I haven't even heard you cry

TTC#1 since summer 2006
January 2008 - Lap - diagnosed with Stage 3 endometriosis & damaged left tube
February 2008 - surprise natural pregnancy!
November 2008 - healthy baby boy, 7lbs 4oz, 21 inches

TTC #2 since August 2010
RE suggests going straight to IVF because of my age
F/U appointment with RE in June 2011 - changed to May 29!
Paid deposit for IVF waiting list
April 15 - AFC - 15 follicles on each side, for a total of 30!
April 20 - HSG - both tubes appear to be open. RE said both spilled out. How is that possible when the lap confirmed one kinked one? Oh well. I will take it!
May 20 - SIS - everything looks great! No concerns. Got the go-ahead to do an un-medicated IUI! RE said I'm going to ovulate on the right side, which my best side. Here goes nothing! FX!
May 29 - met with RE again. She still thinks IVF is our best chance of success. Leaning more towards IUI with Clomid though. 30% chance of multiples via IVF is very intimidating.

IUI#1 (unmedicated) - May 24 - BFN
IUI#2 (50mg Clomid) - June 22 - post-wash was 144 million, 55% motility, grade 4 = 79.2 million chances! BFN.

IVF#1 - started Suprefact on July 26. Start Menopur injections (225 units) on August 4. Baseline u/s showed one 9mm follicle on my right side. RE was concerned as they only want to see 8mm or less, but E2 number was good so we're moving forward!!
August 8 - right: 3x8mm, 2x7mm, 1x9mm and left: 4x8mm, 2x7mm. Lining is 7.9mm.
August 10 - right: 1x12mm, 1x11mm, 2x10mm, 1x13mm, 1x9mm and left: 3x11mm, 2x12mm, 1x9mm
August 14 - all hovering around 18-21mm
August 14 - trigger at 9:30pm
August 16 - ER, retrieved 15 eggs!
August 17 - 12 eggs fertilized
August 19 - Day 3 and all 12 embies are thriving!
August 21 - ET, transferred 2 high quality embies. RE thinks I have a higher than average chance of success as this cycle has been textbook. He says we shouldn't be worried about it working; we should be worried about twins.
August 23 - 3 embies to freeze - 2 that are 'perfect' and 1 just slightly less than perfect!
August 30 - BFP!! 9dp5dt beta #1 = 183
September 1 - Beta #2 = 506
September 5 - Beta #3 = 2188
September 21 - u/s....how many are in there?! The answer is......

Okay, I found a song that's not angry. (Don't laugh at my choice!! ) There's no baby theme, but I think it's valid given the ups and downs of TTC. Here it is ....

A very good friend of mine
Told me something the other day
I'd like to pass it on to you,
Cause I believe what he said to be true

He said:
(CHORUS) We're here for a good time
Not a long time (not a long time)
So have a good time
The sun can't shine everyday

And the sun is shinin,
In this rainy city,
And the sun is shinin,
Ooh isn't a pity?
That every year has it's share of tears,
Every now and then it's gotta rain

He said:
(CHORUS) We're here for a good time
Not a long time (not a long time)
So have a good time
The sun can't shine everyday

(Yup, just picture me driving home belting this one out at the top of my (not so wonderful) voice!) B)

'We're here for a good time.' It's by Trooper -- originally from Vancouver I believe, hence the reference to rain.

I always listen to Celine Dion's A New Day

A new day
A new day

I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Everyone told me to be strong
Hold on and don't shed a tear

Through the darkness and good times
I knew I'd make it through
And the world thought I had it all
But I was waiting for you

Hush now
I see a light in the sky
Oh, it's almost blinding me
I can't believe
I've been touched by an angel with love

Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls for a new, new sun

A new day has come
Where it was dark now there's light
Where there was pain now there's joy
Where there was weakness, I found my strength
All in the eyes of a boy

Hush now
I see a light in the sky
Oh, it's almost blinding me
I can't believe
I've been touched by an angel with love

Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls for a new, new sun

A new day has
Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls for a new, new sun

A new day has come
Ohhh, a light
Hush now
I see a light in your eyes
All in the eyes of the boy

I can't believe
I've been touched by an angel with love

I can't believe
I've been touched by an angel with love

Hush now
Hush now

Thanks Kookacola, I'll have to check that out!

I also like Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts (I know it's more directed towards finding "love", but I think it works for us too):

I set out on a narrow way, many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
Yes He did

I think about the years I spent, just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost, and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there, you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

But now I'm just rolling home into my lover's arms
This much I know is true

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

This one makes me cry. By a local band called Zerbin.

Quiet now, endure the tremor of a hope that's growing deep inside

Hand to mouth, a secret whispers of a dream to roll our tired skies

With a full heart and opening eyes

I see the headlights turn into sunrise

We'll build them real long and heal the deep hurt

And we will step home to greet the new earth

Whoa Ohhh ohh

Whoa Ohhh ohh

Whoa Ohhhhhh ohh

Whoa-ohh-ohhh

[whistling]

Hey hey

Hey hey

Step in time, move to the rhythm of a heart that beats for real life

Mountain dams endure the footsteps of a world that broke the darkest night

Here with a full heart and opening eyes

I see the headlights turn into sunrise

We'll build them real long to heal the deep hurt

And we will step home to greet the brand new earth

Whoa Ohhh ohh

Whoa Ohhh ohh

Whoa Ohhhhhh ohh

Whoa-ohh-ohhh

[whistling]

Hey hey

Hey hey

Hey hey

Hey hey

Hey hey

There's a song by the Smiths called "Please, please please Let me get what I want" and it's been going through my head for most of the day.

When I look at ad back on my life I know that I have had (and continue to have) many blessings. There is one that eludes us and this song speaks to this one wish that has eluded us (and my inner angsty-teenager).

I have had many prayers answered. Heck, some without even asking....

The song has been covered by many artists and it's a great song, but the Smiths hold a special place in my heart.

Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want

Songwriters: MORRISSEY, STEVEN / MARR, JOHNNY

Good times for a change
See, the luck I've had
Can make a good man
Turn bad

So please please please
Let me, let me, let me
Let me get what I want
This time

Haven't had a dream in a long time
See, the life I've had
Can make a good man bad

So for once in my life
Let me get what I want
Lord knows, it would be the first time
Lord knows, it would be the first time

This has to be the biggest group of strong, courageous women I have ever had the pleasure of communicating with...thanks for that!!

I just heard a new song for those who understand french. It`s sung by Celine Dion but the lady who wrote the song had a miscarriage at 5 months. I have never had a miscarriage because I was never pregnant but this makes me cry... I know the post should be about songs that are inspirational so I am not sure if crying is really the right outcome but the woman who wrote the song said that it has helped her immortalize her little ''Léa''.

The lyrics are something like:

And it's breaking his heart
To watch the flowered tree
That he planted thinking
That you would grow together
Why does Léa's little feet
Won't ever make their first steps
Why don't those little feet ever grow
Oh god tell me why
I would've sang just once
"Good night little angel, close your eyes and sleep"

Why does Léa's little feet
Won't ever make their first steps
Why don't those little feet ever grow
Little chills in the universe
As if life changed it's mind
A blow of dust
Happiness just went away

I seem to be having technical difficulties embedding a video. :P

I loved the David Bowie song suggested on here - I listened to I would die for that as well and definitely needed several tissues for that one.

GG - Smiths also holds a special place in my heart as well - Morrissey has a beautiful voice no?

Lali - although I'm not a Celine Dion fan - I loved the video you posted on here - so beautiful - I understood the french lyrics - a great tribute to the songwriter's Lea :)

I give up trying my hand at embedding a video.

The song I wanted to contribute is "Need You Now" by Cut Copy. It's an upbeat song that helps lift my spirits up when I feel down. It's almost like an anthem. It's almost like a "IVFers, FETers, IUIers of the World Unite" theme song ...at least for me anyway lol.
