Hi,

I have just been referred to IVF Canada and wondered if there was anyone else out there who has recently been there or there right now. These posts are a few years old so I figured I would start up a new conversation. I will be going for an ultrasound very shortly for my tubes and then my first consultation.

Anyone else out there? :)
Me: 29 DH: 31
Dx: Husband's count due to radiation treatment when he was 20
(He banked before! Thank goodness for good doctors! We are blessed that have the option)
TTC: since April 2010
April 2011: recommended straight to IVF (best use of the banked "men", esp. if we are planning on having more then one)& have made the decision to be referred to Mount Siani.

September 20: u/s & bw lining on track, 10 follies measuring between 1.6-2.4 on each side! Trigger Time....9:00pm
September 22: ER complete.....23 eggs, 17 fertilized and made it to D4
September 27: ET one perfect grade embryo transferred. 5 made it to freeze
October 7: beta 275 BFP
October 9: beta 585!
October 10-26 - continue to experience issues with OHSS and bursting cysts in my right ovary. 3 hospital visits in a week. Put on Tylenol/Gravol/Oxycodone combination for at home pain management!

Update: received our IVF Canada paperwork last night. It was very informative and easy to understand. It was weird to read about all the non-funded fees we will have to start paying. Makes you appreciate OHIP! To bad OHIP doesn't cover male factor issues. Seems a shame that they will cover if a women's tubes are blocked, but not if the male has a low sperm count....ponder
