Hello heartburn! I woke up three times (at least) last night with a pain in my chest. Still there this morning on and off. Definitely heartburn, and gets worse when I bend over. I guess curried chickpeas were a BAD idea last night. Nausea comes and goes, but wow how bout them hormones??? I burst into tears 3 times yesterday for no apparent reason. DH is wonderful though, he just gives me a hug and tells me I can cry whenever I want to. I still felt like a bit of a nut, but I was literally overpowered by the need to cry.
Lol anyone else having weird experiences? Three cheers for T1!

Hey everyone! Glad to read all of the updates from you all! My computer was giving me problems so I couldn't get on for a while! Well nausea has officially began...although it's not terible in the a.m. but seems to come and go throughout the day. A trip to costco yesterday almost proved to be disasterous, mixing crowds of people with nausea...blah! My girlfriend bought me a book and it said to try peppermint tea. It did work for me last night.
I don't have too much further to go till my ultrasound, I am anxious for that little extra piece of mind. Have a wonderful weekend ladies!

Girls try to use one extra pillow -it's much better for nausea and other sleeping problems during the pregnancy.

So not good news this afternoon. the nurse just called with my beta and it is 328. I was 167 on Monday so it has taken me 6 days to double. I started to freak out and the nurse said to stay positive but how can I??? I go again on Thursday for another beta. This rollercoater is awful.

Lexi....I hope your next beta continues to rise. My u/s is on the 2nd too at 2pm maybe we'll cross paths.
Quite a few AB ladies here....yeah!
Dr Tankel is my OB. He works at the Hys and delivers at the Alex. He's a good doctor but the wait times are extreme. I ALWAYS call in advance of my appointment to ask when I should really come. That way I only have to wait a couple hours versus 5 or 6 or 7.

08/31/2011- 6th Prenatal appointment. BP's is REALLY bad...starting medication and the threat of hospital still lingers....
09/07/2011-7th Prenatal appointment and u/s. Both babies weighing approx. 4lb6oz and doing GREAT. I've dropped and Dr warned me could be ANYDAY now......Ekkkk.....am I ready?!?!
10/06/2011-(36w4d)Bennett Lloyd Adam and Joshua Ernest Andrew made their appearance at 2:24am and 3:00am. Both weighed 6lbs and 6ozs. They are gorgeous and I'm so in love.......
After years of trying and thousands of $$ spent for our miracle family my husband and I can finally say........SCREW YOU infertility we won and you lost! We have our family that you spent years taunting us with!! How does it feel bitch to be the loser this time!!

Hello Edmonton girls! Wow! You're all coming out of the woodworks hey? So there's myself, Valasia, Lexi, Krista, hoping4_1 and who else? I wonder if I met any of you while sitting in the waiting room. I was in last Wednesday from 1:15-4pm...the wait was bad. Were any of you there? It's weird not going back to RAH after these past 5 years. I know I will find myself back there at some point, hopefully not for another year or so though. One at a time!
Lexi- I am going to see Dr. Corbett as far as I know. I had Dr. Tankel who was wonderful but I have not seen him for over 5 years and his wait times are crazy! DH and I decided to switch to a Dr. at the Grey Nuns which is way closer for us. I heard he is great. The thing is you don't know who will deliver your babe anyways. All the best on the next steps! Lexi hang in there. You never know. Praying for you and your little one. Stick baby stick!
AFM, I am feeling pretty good. I only get nauseous when I am hungry so I try to snack on something as soon as I feel hungry. My only worry is that I will gain too much. I'm already a big girl at 180lbs and hope to look pregnant and not just fat. I've heard that happens. Anyone else in the same boat? I want to be all belly and not making people wonder. I am very tired and can easily take a 2 hour nap everyday. My breast are still tender but not as bad as previous or maybe I am just getting used to it. Who knows? I have also been craving anything pickled but especially beets and dill pickles. I am loving oranges and apples with cheese. I usually LOVE curry but the smell makes me want to vomit. Oh and anything lemon tastes like Pledge to me. Gross!
This is so fun to share. We should make a due date list...maybe I'll get to it tonight.

Laura....I think a friend of mine might see Dr Corbett. My preg is going to be rather high risk so I am probably best to stick with DR Tankel. I work downtown so getting to appointments is not a big deal. I call the office and leave when I am somewhere close to getting in! I'll be seeing the peri's at the Alex too.
I am around the same weight. I def had a baby belly with my previous pregs. Right now I look bloated and fat but that will change. With my first I gained only 20lbs and with my second I hadn't gained at all by 21 weeks when he was born. So I was pretty much all baby out front.
I just said to dh this morning that this baby is kicking my but. I was SO tired and that was after a pretty good sleep. BBS are killing me. Nausea not so bad kind of the same it gets a little worse when my tummy is empty.
As long as this preg goes well I won't be going back to the clinic. This baby will be our last. As much as I like Dr M I will be glad to be done with the whole ttc thing.
Anyone holding any extra meds? I have an un-open Gonal F pen. When I had my first I donated right after seeing the hb at 7 weeks. With the second I didn't have left overs. This time I am not sure what to do. Thinking I might just keep it for a while (till 20 weeks) then donate it!

Hi Ladies! Love to join you guys. Just went for my second beta today and all looks good. My 7 week u/s will be March 10. Feeling quite bloated still and been pretty constipated for the last few days.

Hey ladies... wow so many Alberta girls!
My u/s is tomorrow and I'm pretty nervous...My nauseau comes and goes and like a few of you have mentioned it's worse when the belly is empty. I am finding it hard to find things I want to eat. I get so hungry that you would think i could just grab anything but nope, as soon as I think about eating anything "snacky" it makes me feel really nauseous. Oranges, apples and pineapple seem to be my go to lately, also cereal and toast are okay. Not much of a well rounded diet.
I'm really hoping my u/s goes well tomorrow. Just so scared! I still feel so lucky to have gotten preggers our first IVF try that i think it still hasn't really settled in yet.
Yesterday my sister in-law annouced that they to are expecting as well. She is due October 9th and we are the 8th. They are so fertile basically just say they are going to try and boom, preggers. I guess with her being so close to me in our dates I'm just so nervous of something going wrong with us and having to see her go through pregnancy... not trying to be a downer I'm just so nervous for tomorrow.
I will be sure to post my results tomorrow.

07/04 - OB appt - Heartbeats sounds great and boys are right on track. Pelvic Girdle Pain is becoming worse doc just told me to listen to my body and rest when needed.

BTW - is anyone else finding themselves a weeping blubbering idiot at the drop of a hat? My friend send me this video of a flashmob with a sentimental backstory (see notes) and I was just bawling watching it. Also anything even mildly sad or sentimental on TV has me tearing up and that's totally not like me. I haven't done it in public ... yet!

Jan 27th (day 2): 20 viable embryos (two graded 20/20 (wow), seven 19/20, seven 18/20). Going to day 5 for transfer!
Jan 30th (day 5): Transferred one beautiful blast. 13 blasts frozen (wow)! Day 11 beta scheduled for Feb. 10th.
Feb 10 (day 11): BFP! Beta: 415. Over the moon!
Feb. 12 (day 13): Beta 910. Hoping for the best!

I have a doctor's appointment today to get all my blood work and u/s results back. I'm really nervous because the week I found out that I was pregnant I was experiencing a lot of back pain and some minor cramping. I'm hoping for good news!!!

Niff: I think what you are feeling is totally legit. My sister-in-law is 5 weeks ahead of me and also VERY fertile! This is number 5 for them and the first only being 7 years old. I hope all goes well for you today...it's so exciting when you see that little heart flicker then hear it beat. I wish that for you so badly!

Just had our u/s and its TWINS!! Two healthy heart beats. Twin A @ 147bpm & Twin B @ 141bpm. The picture printer was down so hubby will go back tommorow to pick them up. Off to work had to report.

06/20 - Had some mild spotting - had to go the hospital, everything looks fine. We were montiored for about an hour and sent home. Docs think it was a one off thing.
06/28 - GD test - Gross! Felt really dizzy after
06/29 - Ultrasound - Boys look great Baby A is 1lb 11oz and Baby B is 11 13oz. Keep it up Boys
07/04 - OB appt - Heartbeats sounds great and boys are right on track. Pelvic Girdle Pain is becoming worse doc just told me to listen to my body and rest when needed.
07/20 - Ultrasound and Doc appt (need to have RH negative shot)

Got all my bloodwork back and the doctor is very happy. She said everything looks good! She did comment that based on some of my levels she suspects I might be having twins, but we'll have to wait for the ultrasound!
