My second ultrasound went well. Little one is still on track! The other sac has reduced in size and they think it will reabsorb on it's own. YEAH!!! I am still going to be a bit stressed until the next ultrasound but not as much as in the last few days. One thing that is kind of weird is that by their measurement, it seems a bit smaller than last time... There was part of me wondering if it was the same one but with the number of ultrasound they do, they would know if there was a 3rd sac... Anyway, it's not really possible because we only implanted 2! Just my mind playing games on me... My bleeding is pretty much over. I have a picture of my little bean, it's really cute!

Boomerang - I am so sorry for your loss! I am going to feel more confident after my 9 weeks ultrasound. In the meantime, I am partially believing...

Ula-Welcome. 2 weeks should go pretty fast...

mama2be - great heart rate... Congratulations. Mine is in the normals but a bit lower so I am still cautiously optomistic until my next ultrasound...

Tasha, when will your ultrasound be? 9-10 weeks?

Softi444-Very happy to hear your one little bean is doing well....stay strong little one

Soon enough I hope to learn everyones names and stories...Now I'm just playing catch up...lol

An update for me- We've decide to find out the gender of our little one when we can. I can't help but wonder if we may have two in there with a beta of 540. That would be great! The cramps have subsided must have just been my uterus growing to fit the new tenant or tenants. Dec 6th really can't come soon enough.

Question?? Has anyone started having sex again? With these progesterone suppositories I'm not sure if we can or not. Awkward question I know but I can't help but ask. I don't want to do anything to risk anything.

Cheers ladies !! stay well!!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who hasn't had sex yet....I'm just so nervous..until the ultrasound and the dr's assure me it's okay. I know sex is usually safe when pregnant, but I'm nervous about everything. Plus, I'm feeling pretty nauseous and worn out these days.

Hi Ladies,

I'm a little nervous still but just got my 2nd beta result after my 1st FET. at 14dp5dt my beta was 480, I was a little nervous that it was a little low. Today I just got my 2nd beta at 16dp5t and it is 1329. I'm cautiously excited!!

I'm currently 5wks pregnant and will be going for an ultrasound around 8wks. The last time I was pregnant we found out at our 1st ultrasound that there was no heartbeat. I'm hoping to stay here for the long term this time.

Lauren Joy, Naturella - We haven't had sex either. I am starting to find it long... At first, I was tired and didn't feel much like it but now it's something missing... They had said until the 1st ultrasound at first. Last week I had some bleeding and they are pretty sure I lost a twin... First ultrasound they saw an empty sac but on the secondd, they saw fragments of a baby which means it was there... Anyway, they have asked me to wait until the 2nd ultrasound to ensure the safety of my healthy baby that is left as I still have some spotting and my cervix is not entirely closed... It's kinda weird, because I am happy there's still one but sad for the one that didn't make it!

Mich - your numbers seem right on for a singleton. Can you get your ultrasound earlier? I got mine at 7 weeks. Specially with what you went through last time, maybe your clinic would see you earlier... If this one was a FET, I would say you have very good chances. They say it's rare to have lots of genetically abnormal embryos in the same retrieval. The older you get, the more chances of having genetic problems but if you are fairly young, I would say you have very good chances of seeing that heartbeat! And, once you see the heartbeat, your chances of miscarriage are reduced by about 95%. Here is a link to review your BETA.
http://www.betabase....php?type=Single

Tasha - when did you say your first ultrasound was? Was it 10 weeks?

Hi ladies,

My husband and I are currently pregnant via surrogacy. My baby sis was our egg donor and on Nov. 1st we transferred two blasts to our surrogate mommy. We are going through beta hell right now, but I'm hoping (please, please) that we are through the worst and that we will see a little beating heart at our ultrasound on Nov. 29th.

I can't empathize with the pregnancy symptoms but I can sure empathize with the stress and obsession with Dr. Google!!!

[b]Making two little brothers for our fur-babies. IM to an amazing SM, sister to our amazing ED

LOL...Lauren Joy...I feel the same about the whole sex thing. I noticed we went to the same clinic. When I went in for my beta the girl at the blood clinic told me the day before they had three positives for three tests and then my positive the next day. Those are some good numbers. I was really happy with the clinic and even though they say its fine about the whole sex thing after all this I really don't think its worth the risk. DH is paranoid too lol.

Ula- Great to see the Soft clinic is doing well too. I have a friend who went there last year and now has twins! It sure will be fun to compare notes as we go along.

Welcome July !!! This is a great place to vent about the whole shock thing .....we are all there with with you !!lol

Mich 32- Your numbers sound great to me ..but I'm far from pro at this...I'm a first time ivfer ..best of luck!!

Softi- I can really understand your mixed emotions about feeling happy and sad at the same time for your little beans. It would be tough yet happy at the same time. And your right it is a long time to wait for sex...and I still have 2 and a half weeks...oh well its worth it. Do you think its the actual sex that's the problem or an orgasm because of the contraction of the uterus. Should have went to med school..... :P

If you're bleeding it's both (orgasm and sex). If the cervix is open and you have contractions or your cervix is hit in the process, it could be dangerous. For me, it would be dangerous for my little bean that didn't make it. Could get expulsed and create problem for the healthy one. Anyway that's what they said. If your cervix is closed and you don't have any bleeding than sex is not a problem. With IVF they tell you to wait after the ultrasound but I personnally think it's not necessary...

July and Kootenay - welcome!

Good morning!

Naturella...I can't believe the blood work clinic told you about the positives....great news but wierd! Did you find their staff a little "interesting?" When did you have your egg retrieval/transfer?

I'm wondering how everyone is feeling? Of couse I'm worrying at any time I feel "normal". I've had a good amount of gagging on a daily basis over the last 5 days or so, comes in waves...but still I worry. I've got exactly 8 days until my ultrasound and I'm so nervous/excited...I just don't want any more bad news..it's been a long 3 years. Aside from that, I've got a good amount of bloating, I think though it's still residual from the OHSS. I also feel like I have this wierd lump in my throat, sort of like a ball of phlem (sorry I know that's gross!) With my son, I had this terrible metallic taste in my mouth that I could compare to sucking on a dirty penny (or that's how I imagine it...I've never really sucked on a dirty penny!)

I'd love to hear how you all are doing and compare symptoms!

I have blood work tomorrow again to make sure its still rising. Its more for me than anything as the clinic said everything should be ok since my bleeding hasn't gotten anyworse and my #'s are strong.

Hi everyone, I see that a lot of you aren't getting many symtms. Same here... I feel pretty good most of the time except for the odd not hungry feeling or nausea I guess it might be. I notice my appetite isn't quite up to par. I am eating regularly but I'm not really starving for my next meal like I usually do...lol

I hope everyone is progessing nicely. I am eight weeks now and I am so very excited to get to Christmas where I can tell my whole family and then in the new year I can tell anyone I want!!!

As for your post LaurenJoy, we aren't allowed to sell meds on here. Nice thought though but it isn't allowed in general at all.

I found the ladies in the blood clinic very interesting!! Especially the one girl ...almost odd ...lol and she was the one who told me about the positives. I highly doubt she should have but she had something weird to say every time I went in. It was entertaining anyway.

I'm feeling good also and bloated as well ...Sometimes I worry I'm not getting enough symptoms cause I was very nauseous with my other pregnancies but this one is smooth sailing. It's still early I guess...lol

Does anyone else have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the washroom? I can't believe I have to so much already. I don't really mind so much just hard to fall back asleep sometimes.

I'm glad to see everyone is doing well and I'm excited to take this journey with you all!

:)

thread crash! Check with your clinic, sometimes if you haven't opened the meds they will buy them back from you.
