Hi all, I am looking for advice on traveling after ET. My husband and I are temporarily residing in China and I am not comfortable going through IVF treatment here. We have had 2 failed IVF treatments. IVF#1 was ectopic and IVF#2 we miscarried twins at 9 weeks due to chromosmal abnormalities in both (pathology was run on both embryos).
I am thinking of returning to Canada for IVF #3. I would have to be there for the stims, ER and ET and then plan on coming back to China to wait with my husband.
I know some clinics do not recommend traveling after ET and some say its ok. It's a 12 flight back to China. I would love to know people's experience or recommendation on flying.
Thanks!!

I went on a train trip a few days after and it didn't make a difference. I would think flying a day or so later would be okay but just to be safe maybe you could inquire at the clinic you chose before you actual commit.

I wouldn't travel day of but next day you can basically continue on 'normal' life.
That being said I would do whatever YOU feel comfortable with - ie., you wouldn't blame
the travel caused it if you ended up with BFN.
Best of luck.

Thanks for the responses. When we initially spoke to our clinic about traveling, they preferred we did not. My Dr was of the opinion that the change in air-pressure could possibly effect implantation. This is why for our 2nd IVF we returned to Canada. I was there for the 2 weeks of stims, and then my husband came for the ER, ET and stayed for about 8 days after. We were together when we POAS and he then left back to China. I did not want to risk anything with travel, so our plan was for me to head back to China once we had received the 'all clear' from the doctor. I ended up staying home for the next 2 months since we kept getting poor u/s results. Being apart for those two months was the worst part of that IVF experience and made it much more stressful. This is why we are thinking about doing the 2ww back in China. I kinda feel like the stress of being apart could not have been positively effecting our results either.
I don't want to do anything to jeopardize the success of our 3rd IVF. Thanks for your comments!
