Thanks for the warm welcome. 3 days to go till beta day! I've been feeling much better since my first post. Lots of hope right now. Fresh cycle we had only made it until 7dp5t, then af showed up. This time we've made it much further. Praying this is it!

Sorry I havent been on here in a few weeks. Unfortunately we had a chemical pregnancy. We have decided to start looking into adoption and maybe one day come back to ivf. Right now we just dont feel we can go any further. Thanks for the support :) I'll still be on here from time to time and look forward to hearing some success stories from those of you with unicornuate.

Hang in girls I also have a UU and am now 29 weeks preggo. Will say this much the baby is all on my right side and all its kicking is concentrated on the right side where my half uterus is.

With a UU they also recommend a cerclage which I had put in after my first trimester.

Good luck and tons of baby dust

Hi! I am 33 years old and I found out I have a unicorn uterus a month ago.. I saw a few doctors, and we decided to try a IVF. My connected ovary went through surgery in October, because of a cyst, and my doctor says that it's too weak and does not produce health eggs.

Today I had my eggs aspirated (from my right ovary) and on Sunday they're going to transfer the embryos! I was wondering if I could have two embryos implanted, or is that too much of a risk because of my uterus size?

Hope to hear a favorable response!

Ngautog - I'd strongly advise transferring only one. I also have a unicornuate uterus and my RE advised this as well... If for some reason we had two, they were going to refer me to someone to consider a selective reduction.

With only half the space, the rates of miscarriage, etc are higher than for regular IVFers and the unicornuate uterus is already at risk for incompetent cervix and preterm delivery.

Although everyone wants a BFP, a unicornuate uterus makes your pregnancy high risk. I'm currently carrying a singleton and have had a difficult pregnancy with bleeding and an incompetent cervix. I've been on bed rest for almost half the pregnancy. I can't imagine my body being able to carry two. Just my thoughts.

Good luck - I think you'd be much safer doing several SETs if needed, but hopefully your first one will take!

Yes, we're pretty excited! It's been a tough pregnancy but it'll be all worth it in the end. Little one flipped and is head down so we're going to try for a regular vaginal delivery. There's not much space left in there now so unlikely to flip anymore.
Baby is growing ok - not huge given the size limitations of the uterus but within normal range (around 5.5 lbs a week ago).
Good luck to you!

Good to hear that the baby flipped! I have heard that the majority don't flip because of the reduced space! I hope mine flips too! Really want a vaginal delivery! We'll see!!

I had my appointment with my RE, it went pretty well, but I just don't have good vibes with the RE! He's such a cold hearted guy, seemed that he didn't even cheer up about my bfp, and on too of that he said that my insurance probably won't cover la pregnancy, because it's a fertility problem. He wants to see me on may 30th!! I just feel that he doesn't care much about my pregnancy. Made me sad the whole day. I guess I'll stick with him till the first trimester and then look for another dr!

Runner.girl - keep me posted with your last weeks!! Wish you the best!!!

Im back here again... Almost 2 years later. After a failed IVF and a failed FET we gave it a break. I was completely devastated after our last one and I disappeared from this site for sometime. We adopted our little miracle boy this past July 2013 and as we near his first birthday we are gearing up to go for another FET this summer/fall.

I see there has been some success here lately? I love to see that, gives me a little hope.
