Hey,

Looking for buddies on this new part of our journey. Not really sure what to expect - would love to hear from others going through the same thing at Hannam. Who knows? Maybe there'll be a chance to meet and have a...well... orange juice?

Hey there!

I went through a fresh IVF with Hannam last September and we'll hopefully be doing our FET there in a few weeks. I'm in on Tuesday for my baseline stuff. I look pretty much like my picture, so if you see me say hi!

I will cycle around the same time you will. My last IVF cyle at Hannam, for the most part, went well (meds, etc.), but the embryos did not implant for unknown reasons.

What about the polyp? Will you remove it before IVF? I had to remove mine before starting my IVF cycle.

I'll be in on Friday morning for an appointment - 9:30 I think but won't be there before then. Do you know the approx date of your FET? I think if we're there at the same time I'd be able to pick you out. I've seen your pic and thought you looked familiar. I believe we lived on the same floor in Rez. I'm Melanie from the other end of the hall. My fingers are crossed that this FET will be the one!

Victoria -I'm sorry to hear your first IVF wasn't successful. right now the polyp plan is to leave it alone and to do a mock transfer to see if it's interfering. There's also an endometrial biopsy scheduled at the same time - which I've heard can be quite painful. Not looking forward to it. I hope the polyp does not present any trouble as I really don't want to wait any longer.

What was the polyp removal like?

You and Shannon in Rez together... What a coincidence?

I don't think the poly removal was a big deal, but I removed my fibroid at the same time so I can't distinguish what was what. I just had cramps (I think the fibroid) and I asked for more painkiller and that was it. I rested in bed for the rest of the day. Did it on Friday, the next day I was okay and went back to work on Monday.

Looks like I won't be there on Tuesday after all...no AF for me yet, so Tuesday won't be day 3. Maybe we'll cross paths after all!

I'm at Hannam and also going for IVF this month. I'd be up for some king of get together! Day 3 for me should be around Jan 16, so I'll be in the clinic everyday starting around mon Jan 19th.

The details are a little sketchy. I think it was 92-93...m2? you were in the same apartment as Dionne? I was at the other end of the hall - english major.

How is everyone else doing? Should we plan to have a meetup in mid -jan? I'm a terrible organizer. Does anyone have a good idea?

We should defintely gather the gang together - what time of day is generally best for everyone? How close are you all to the clinic? I can do lunch or after work drinks, and am about five minutes away from the clinic but can go anywhere near a subway stop.

Hi Girls - I can also do lunch most days and can meet up after work. I'm about 15 min from the clinic and work right on the subway line. Have a follow-up with Dr. H tomorrow. Hope all is well and we can proceed at the beginning of Feb as planned.

My appt is for Feb 2nd to sign all the consent forms, injection lessons etc..then on the lupron Feb 3rd..
Estimated er is Feb 24th

the next 42 days is going to go soo slow!

Wow, its so nice to actually have someone to talk to going through the exact same thing. Are you also on the long protocol?

Hey Melanie,

Nope, AF never showed up so I have to go in tomorrow for an endometrial biopsy. Fun! That takes a few weeks to get the results back, then we'll do another random day 3 and if all is well, we'll start from there.

Insanity! Nothing in my body works like it should. Just doesn't make sense. Oh well, gives us more time to save the money!

How did your appointment go?

My appointment went well. All our test results were great. All signs are pointing to endo being the cause. Not surprising. I had surgery to remove a bunch in my mid twenties. And another about 4 years ago - had symptoms but surgery didn't reveal any. So all systems go keeping endo in mind in the protocol.
I have a mock transfer and endometrial biopsy Feb 3rd and nursing appointment to learn about injections the same day. So ER approx Feb 25.
The waiting must be killing you. Do you have an idea of when your biopsy will be?

Hi everybody,
I'm meeting with Dr H about starting IVF in about a week. We've done all the other tests but I haven't yet done my natural cycle monitoring for various reasons, most recently because of where the xmas holidays fell within 2 cycles. I was wondering whether anybody started on bcp or meds w/o the cycle monitoring 1st?
I'm eager to get going here and nervous as all get out.
I'm on crinone while we're trying naturally from Ovulation to bfn, and even that is making me rather crazy.

Milena, I did not have any cycle monitoring. Did one pile of blood work, one ultrasound when we went in after our referral and more blood and u/s on CD1 but that's it. No monitoring.

We didn't do any cycle monitoring before starting either.

Biopsy was yesterday and, uh, it wasn't fun. He had to do it twice because my lining was so thin. Hopefully that won't happen to you!

DivaJen - yikes! Sounds unpleasant. I'm sorry to hear that...I'm quite nervous about mine. And I've been on the pill for what feels like forever. I always imagine that means I have no lining at all. There is, of course, no medical reasoning behind that. When will you have some answers as to what's going on?

I start Lupron and Feb 3rd and then start my gonal-f injections Feb 13th. Looks like ER is going to be Feb 24th with a transfer on Mar 1.

I work downtown and I am a 10 minute walk from the office. A get together after work some time would be interesting !

So three of us in basically the same boat. I'm due to start meds on the 4th. But will be in at noon on the 3rd for tests and nursing appt. I'm on long protocol too, expecting ER around Feb 25. We'll have to work on that meet-up.
