Has anyone every experienced a BFN on an HPT and the received a BFP with your beta?

Tryingforever - sorry, i do not know the answer to your question. I just wanted to wish you luck and lots and lots of sticky baby dust. Your beta is just around the corner and i am sure that on 13th you will have a wonderful news!

Yup!!!

I didn't use First Response though...although mine said they tested ~same as that. My beta was good and it was done 9 days past 5 day transfer.

I actually did a pg test the day before my beta test - which would have been 9dp3dt and it was negative... I was devistated.
However the next day I went in for my beta and it came back +++ at 33. The dr explained to me tht there was not enough HCG in my body to reflect a positive HPT at the time.

I hope your story ends up like mine...

Thanks for the optimistic replies...I did an HPT at 10p3dt (yesterday) and it was negative. No sign of AF though and no signs of PMS either.

Not sure what to think!

Dear Hoping_it_will,

I feel really badly, I just read your signature details and your blog...I am so sorry to hear about what had happened. I have heard of people being cancelled prior to ER (happened to me twice), but never heard of being left at ER with nothing!

On the flip side, it sounds like you have a great RE. To proactively call you and to spend an hour with you on the phone is just great...really it must make you feel that they care and that you are not just another one in the system.

I really hope things work out for you on your next attempt!

Hi, sorry to butt in, but I am starting to get nervous myself. I am at 10dp5dt and am getting nothing but negatives on the HPT as well. I used the First Response brand and have the Clearblue in waiting. My beta isn't due until November 14. I know I'm a little bit early, but I tested this early my first time with IVF and was getting results by now. Hmmm. It's just making me nervous and the waiting is diving me nuts.

I don't know if the prometrium delays it or not. I kind of don't think so. I say that only because my last IVF was cancelled before ER because we didn't think we had enough eggs to warrant going through with PGD. So, after we made that decision, I was told to take the Progesterone suppositories (which are also an oral pill I have found out) to bring on my period??? So, I don't know. I have to pee so bad, and I don't know whether to go on a stick or not. Hmmm. I'm gonna go nuts! I was already testing positive by this time the first time with IVF, but I also had twins?? I don't know, it makes me scared.

Darn it...maybe because it is in the middle of the day. I think they say to POAS first thing in the morning.

This is the longest 2WW I have ever experienced...at least there is a holiday tomorrow so I can do something fun to pass the time.

Hi all

I will share my HPT too, I tested 9dp3dt and it was negative, I don't feeling anything at all I should've had my Period last Friday but I was told by my clinic I will never get it as long as I'm on Progesterone suppositories
I used ClearBlue it was clear BFN but I never tested after that I beleive I am BFN this is my 2nd fresh cycle don't even have FET tomorrow is my Beta I don't even what to go.

Chin up hon! I've heard of it happening at the beta, so hold on until you know for sure. That's all we've got isn't it? I'll keep the good thoughts rolling for us all. It just doesn't seem fair does it. We do what we can though. I'm like you, nothing frozen to try again and this is our second fresh cycle as well.

Okay, anyone else try the HPT's again? I'm at 11dp5dt and still negative. I used Clearblue, with first morning pee. I'm pretty nervous now. I wasn't prepared for negative. My beta is now on the 13. Has anyone had this happen? I don't know whether there is any hope or not? It'd be nice to hear from someone who has tested this late at home with negatives and still had a healthy pregnancy. I don't know whether to hold on fr hope or start preparing for the worst.

Tricia - I'm sorry the HPT is still negative...I did the same thing this morning and mine was negative as well. Looks like we are in the same boat. Crappy situation!!!

Abster - so sorry to hear that the results were negative...are you planning on trying again?

Victoria - when is your beta scheduled?

I'm sorry yours is saying the same thing. I am about ready to crack. My beta isn't supposed to be until the 14 but I'm going in on the 13, but...but I don't know. I am not prepared for this to not work. Not very realistic, I have it on my mind constantly. I am so teary too. I keep looking at my girls and am so grateful, but at the same time so selfish in wanting more. I am very lucky to have what I have, but am so devastated that it may not happen again.

I called my clinic and told them that the HPT was negative and they said that I could come in a day early...so I am going in tomorrow morning and should have results by about 2:00. I am pretty sure it is going to be a big fat "NEGATIVE".

Tricia, I too have another child. He is 4.5 years old and of course the apple of my eye. I just wish I could have a sibling for him. I know how you feel!

Sorry I saw this post a little late. Thanks for taking the time to see my story. I have to say despite what has happened I do have a great RE. She was calling me regularily t/o the cycle to make sure all my questions were answered. I gained some valuable insight from her on many things! I hope the FET works as well. I am pretty realistic but as always hopeful.

Now: Hold on until your beta! I hope it works out for you this time!

Well, I hope that the blood test has better news for you. Did you do another pregnancy test at home. I have and they are sill coming up negative. I am pretty heartbroken. I was sure it was going to work, once they got back into me. It's not looking that way now. My blood test is tomorrow and ultrasound, but we had our cry out last night. I'm not sure where we are going to go from here. We can try o our own naturally and hope that I can get pregnant and also that we avoid the disease. It's a bit like Russian roulette though. I don't know. I'm just really in the dumps. I keep thinking every once in a while that it could still turn around, but I've also come to the conclusion that I need to face the facts. It's just hard to do. I'll send you some good wishes and hope for the best. I'm going to keep trying to come on, but it's snowing like a bugger here and we have satellite internet and the weather can cut it off.

Hi Tricia,

I hope you are doing okay...I know you have your beta today.

I am still awaiting a call from my clinic for the results. I had by bloodwork done yesterday morning and then I was supposed to call in at 2:00 which I did. I left a message and then another message at about 4:00. Still nothing - they never called me back. I think it is pretty rude for them not to call me. I am pretty sure it is a negative, but I still think that a phone call is in order!

I hope you get some good news today. Remember there was someone who said that they tested the day before their beta and it was negative, but their beta was positive.
