Name: suzyflo
Age:38
How long TTC: 3 years
Diagnosis or any known issues: tubal damage hydrosalpinx
Treatments you tried before IVF: 1 IVF and 3 FET
How many IVF did you do before success: Changed clinics (went to McGill Reproductive Center) and got pregnant with 2nd IVF (or 1st try with McGill)
Are you using donor eggs or sperm: no
Protocol (meds taken):suprefact, Gonal F
How many follicles at ER: 16
How many eggs retrieved: 19
How many eggs fertilized:15but 9 made it to blastocyst
How many days between ER and ET: 5
How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2 (don't know quality)
Symptoms or issues during 2WW: Honestly, I was convinced it didn't work. Felt nothing special other than bloating and some cramping (but no aha moment which would confirm implantation) plus breasts were never sore and still aren't at three months
What day you got your BFP: very very very faint line 5 days after transfer on HPT
HPT before blood test: yes
Number of first beta: 695
Number of babies: 2
Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process: Get a second opinion and if that gut feeling tells you you're not in the right hands, then change clinics! We were reluctant to at first and wasted two precious years with OVO in Montreal. OVO even told us using blastocysts didn't make much of a difference but McGill was adamant we let the embryos go to blastocyst because it increased our chances of success.
