Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process:
Grief and Heartache, you may become to know them well. Be gentle with yourself. Infertility may shape you. It becomes a part of your being. Just like having children changes your life, infertility can stop you dead in your tracks. Changing how you pictured your life. - Molding your persona.
"Sometimes we stare at the closed door of infertility so long what we don't see other doors opening for us." I am grateful for the extra time I had with my honey. You will be amazed what you will do for the one you love, how much courage and strength you can muster, how far you will go and how much IF can bring you together . . . or apart if you allow it. Love the one your with.
And through all of this, I am still learning and have concluded - The intention of all this is to conceive a child and I have conceived a stronger sense of myself.

Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process: I think I was pretty prepared, but sometimes I think that it would have been easier had I not done so much research. I over ananlyzed everything. I wish that I could have taught myself how to relax, not be so critical of myself. Being kind to yourself during the 2ww is very important, it's stressful no matter how prepared you think you are. Miracles do happen, tey just take longer for some of us.

Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process:
- The process itself, of needles, appointments, etc, really isn't that bad ... it's the emotional rollercoaster that is so very hard.
- Time heals.
- The female body is both strong, resilient and truly amazing.
- Know your limits before you start. How far, how long and how much are you both willing to invest - emotionally, physically and mentally.
- Know that you have options. If it doesn't work at one clinic, don't limit yourself - investigate other clinics, other doctors, other protocols. We switched for our last cycle, and I firmly believe the new doctor, new protocol and new clinic made ALL the difference for us.
  • Bboybug, Ally1 and Melissabonbon like this
Stay strong. Stay positive. And remember not to say anything to yourself - out loud or in your head - that you wouldn't say to your best girlfriend if she was in your position.
