Fertility Journey so far
Have been on Synthroid for since I was 16 years old.
Married to my Loving Husband March 2008. (We have two Lovely Fur-Babies. Dogs named Shelby & Zoey)
April 27, 2008-Stopped taking Birth Control Pill, to start trying to conceive
March 10, 2009- Finally had an Appointment with Gynecologist Dr.Kim for Fertility Issues.
May17, 2009-Started Clomid 50mg for the first time on Day 3
May 21, 2009-Had HSG, very painful but showed no issues
From May 17, 2009- Feb 4, 2010- Did 9 cycles of clomid at different doses of 50mg or 100mg
February 5, 2010- new period started (cycles are really getting out of whack again)
February 23, 2010- Appointment follow-up with Dr. K
March 11, 2010- First Appointment with Dr. S @ RAH Edmonton Fertility-Plan is to try injectables with intercourse for now. Dr. S always makes her patients take a month break between each cycle.
April 14, 2010- Injection Training
April 27, 2010- Day 1 of first cycle of injectables #1
April 29, 2010-Day 3 started on 50 IU of puregon daily. Did injections from Day 3 Day 14, then HCG trigger injection on May 11, 2010-BFN
May 25, 2010- Period off & on until June 17, 2010 and then went without a period until July 30, 2010.
Aug 2010-end of year- Cycles were all over the place. I was away from city too many times to start another cycle yet.
January 15, 2011- Day 1 of next cycle of injectables. Ultrasound on January 17, 2011. #2
January 17, 2011- Day 3 started 75 IU of Puregon daily (75 IU for 9 days & then 7 days of 150 IU). Did injections from Day 3 Day18, then HCG Trigger injection on February 2, 2011BFN

April 8, 2011- Follow-up appt with Dr. S
July 3, 2011- Started Prometrium to start a cycle.
July 13, 2011- Day 1 of this Cycle #3
July 15, 2011- Day 3 started 150mg IU of Injectables for 5 days then switched to 75 IU for 2 days.

October 28, 2011- Started Prometrium again to start a cycle.
November 7, 2011- Day 1 of this cycle #4
November 9, 2011- Day 3 started 100 IU of Puregon injections daily. Did Injections until Day 11.
November 18, 2011- HCG Trigger Injection.
November 20, 2011- First IUI Attempt. Didn't hurt at all and was fairly quick
November 30, 2011- Started spotting & period only 10 days after IUI. Heart-broken.
November 30, 2011- was bleeding off & on from this date to Dec 24, 2011 until given Provera for 7 days. Stopped bleeding until January 4, 2012. Doctor's office finally called me back on January 11, 2012. Bleeding finally stopped naturally until Jan 23, 2012. Had to go to RAH for another Ultrasound to check everything on Jan 25, 2012. Everything looks fine and given Provera again for 14 days. Started bleeding again on Feb 3, 2012. Had another Ultrasound on February 13, 2012 and given Marvelon to try to adjust my hormones to stop the bleeding.
March 12, 2012- Day 1 of this Cycle #5
March 14, 2012- Day 3 started 100 IU puregon injections daily. Did injections until March 19, 2012. (Asked 2 nurses, 1 doctor and left 1 message to ask about possible progesterone supplements to lengthen luteal phase-no return call from message left and the doctor & nurses didn't seem to think it was necessary)
March 20, 2012- HCG Trigger Injection.
March 22, 2012- IUI attempt number two
April 1, 2012- Period started. Again only 10 days after IUI, Very sad and very frustrated.

April 4, 2012- Taking a break right now to save up and emotionally relax. Also can't get into see my doctor until July 6, 2012. The Wait is on......
July 22, 2012- random positive hcg test of 206 when I was just doing the test to double check just so I could start meds to start a cycle
July 23,2012- hcg decreasing so it's a chemical pregnancy too bad... Felt the joy for one day.
Oct 13, 2012- Day 1 of 3rd IUI
Oct 15, 2012- Day 3 staring puregon injections of 100iu/day.
Oct 30, 2012- Hcg trigger injection
Nov 1, 2012- IUI attempt number 3 but this time with progesterone suppositories. resulted in BFN- I think iui was done way too late in cycle
Dec 12, 2012- Followup with Dr. Sagle We are still going to follow the same path just up dose and i have requested to try Gonal F for the first time instead of puregon just to give it a whirl. I have to wait a few months as i am having knee surgery
Dec 13, 2012-Rt knee ACL repair knee surgery-have to wait a few months until next IUI
April 4, 2013-Day 3 of IUI number 4- Baseline ultrasound shows Cyst on left side-cycle cancelled
May22, 2013-Day 3 of IUI number 4(attempt2)-baseline ultrasound looks clear-started gonal f 125iu/day
June 4, 2013-Day 16 IUI done today will continue to use progesterone suppositories. Resulted in BFN
June 22,2013-Followup with Dr. sagle- She thinks i am responding well to injectable iui cycles and bloodwork wise everything looks perfect. I asked if i could try femara in between iui cycles and she said yes. She doesn't think anymore diagnostic tests are required at this time.
Aug2, 2013-day 1 of first femara cycle. taking femara day 3-7 on the off cycles when not doing iui. next iui cycle will be in September/octobert as we are going on vacation to disneyland early september. Maybe femara will work in the meantime.....

Aug 27, 2013-Day 26-postive preg test at home!!! first time ever!!!

Aug 28, 2013-HCG only 17 very low (clinic requested repeat in one week but we were leaving on holidays the next week and i needed an answer before we left) Repeat labs done on Saturday and HCG was 24 but by the tuesday i had started spotting and HCG was 7. BOOOOO :( But glimmer of hope knowing that the femara worked and just need to find a way for it to stick!

Oct 12, 2013-Did another Femara cycle @ 5mg but BFN(based on labs i don't think i ovulated)

Nov 14, 2013-CD1, starting another femara cycle @ 10mg for cd 3-7-everything crossed for this cycle!!!!

Hi what are reputation points & what do they mean?
Thanks.

I am not sure if you got an answer (last year), but just in case... It is the number of "Likes" that people have given to comments/posts/blogs that you have posted.

There is a little button to the bottom right of comments that people post. So, if someone says something that you like (or find funny, or agree with, or something), then click on the button.

Cheers.

Oh yes, I remember being completely lost when people used the abbreviations, then one day it started to click. There are a few that stump me, and it takes a moment (or more) for it to click.

Welcome aboard. :wavey:

Yes, DSD, is an abbreviation for stepdaughter (dear stepdaughter) and people would understand.

Welcome and all the best to you.
