Hello

I just found out that 4/7 day 5 embryos came back with "no result" from a clinic well known for its PGS testing. What does this mean for a) being able to use/test again? And b] what the clinic will/will not allow me to do with them?

Thanks!

From what little I know from my own research,

A.) They may be able to do a re-test.

B.) You still have the option to transfer the embryos if you desire.

I had 2 that came back no result. they were transferred after my normal one failed. they failed to. However, I have a friend who had 2 normal ones failed and then transferred two no result ones in that both stuck. so i would not discount them.

I had a PGD embryo on each cycle come back with no result. My clinic gave me the choice to transfer without knowing the genetic status or test again for free and freeze while waiting for results and transfer at a later cycle.

I had a no result embryo with my first cycle, they thawed and re-biopsied it and again got "no result". Unfortunately it didn't survive the freeze/re-thaw/freeze so I didn't get to transfer it.

That is a higher proportion of "no results" that usual for sure but if you want I think they usually offer free re-biopsy (knowing that they might not make it through the process). If they are good quality you could try transferring as well. Did you get any normal embryos?

Most labs will offer re-testing. It is worthwhile to discuss with your RE about this

Hopeful, of the 3 that came back with a result, 1 is ok. I am hoping that on Monday we will have more answers.
