Husband just dropped a bombshell on me last night. When we eventually go in for our FET, and if the doctors recommend throwing 2 up in there, he's all for it. Knowing fully well that could mean coming home with a set. OF CHILDREN.
Bubby99Good luck meary!

VetterI threw 5-6 up there each of my 5 ivfs and nothing took... so 2? No big deal. Don't look for trouble (yet) where there isn't any.

I had FET yesterday at 1pm, didn't take antibiotics only Mendrol. I had cramping in the morning. Now I am having heavy cold symptoms: headache, sore body, no fever yet. Is that normal after transfer?
gibasgirlSorry you are under the weather. Everyone is different. The antibiotics are used as a precaution sometimes against infection from the procedure, but would not prevent a cold/flu.
The yucky feeling should pass soon.
FX for you.

i am freaking i just took my trigger shot 1/2 hour late...does it matter?
gibasgirlLet your clinic know. You should be ok. Late is probably better than early. The key is to retrieve before the follicles release the eggs.
All the best to you.

sharleneYou can always tell your doctor in the morning, but I don't think it will make any difference. I'm sure I took mine a half an hour or more late, too! Good luck!

nervus optmistI agree with the others. shouldn't have an impact but let the clinic know just to be safe. They might just adjust times, but probably not.

I SOOO want to post this on my FB, but I think it would be just a bit too pointed!
GraceMGood article. The question is do you want to deal with the fall out. If you are in a feisty mood, go for it.

nervus optmistquandry does make a good point. I had the worst bleeding and cramping with my last, and only successful PG. if you can bring yourself to do it, wait to see what the bloodwork say. thinking of you.

Belated birth announcement, but we welcomed our son, Charles Xavier, on March 21. What a way to celebrate the first day of Spring, even if the weather doesn't know it yet. Much love and hope to all on this journey. There is light!

Why can't I lose 30 lbs, like, by next week? safely? damn thyroid. Anyone else going grain free before starting another round?
mountainchickI have cut down on grains since they are hard for me to digest ( I have Hashimotos). I found that I bloated after eating grains after I did a liver cleanse after my fibroid surgery, especially after eating quinoa. I am not really trying to lose weight but I find eating less grains help my digestive system.

mountainchickI forgot to ask what your TSH level is? I dropped 10 pounds very quickly during my DE cycle when my TSH level was around 1

KarolinasmommyEver tried Keto? I did this for 4-5 months at the beginning of 2013 and it did me really well, both weight and fertility wise! Good luck! Thyroids make things so stubborn.

Here's what I learned today from an article in MacLean's magazine: I am a NoMo (the term for childless by circumstance), and a PANK (Professional Aunt No Kids) living in Mom-opia, a world where motherhood is the only natural way to be a woman.
RMadLooks like I'm there with you. I'm going to start calling myself a PANK.

gibasgirlThere's a blog I followed called theNotmom. Small world. I will look for the McLean's article.

37 weeks! 3 years ago our TTC journey began, while I'm so excited, my heart breaks for those amazing ladies that I first cycled with that are still struggling.
Andrea_Ben1980Congratulations wishing you beautiful times ahead with your little one =)

has anyone heard of IVF/ICSI with *insert weird word here*? it is used to chose the best sperm during the ICSI? Yeah slap me if I am not making sense...I should have asked the nurse to repeat the word over the phone
DiXiethat might be that..lol does anyone know if it works in case of DNA sperm fragmentation??
Apr 17 2014 11:39 AM
DiXieMouse - IMSI would be awesome bu apperently they don't do it in Canada..only Europe
Apr 17 2014 11:40 AM
nattiPICSI is out for Canada as well :(

After all these life style changes losing weight, regular exercise, cutting back on beer, eating healthy..) , DH semen analysis showed ZERO changes..shouldn't have got my hope up ..How sad
cheersAh I'm sorry. It is disappointing to make so many changes only to see no improvement. Definitely schedule an app with a urologist. Can't hurt to have a second opinion.
Apr 16 2014 03:47 PM
canuckschickI'm gonna ask GP to refer him to a urologist . He is so sick of appointment after appointment . This SA gave us the closure in a way . We now know for sure we don't have any chance of conceiving naturally or with iui.. Lets hope icsi works for us
