I think the lab took about 14 vials of blood today! The vein collapsed before they were done and they had to take it from my right hand! Ughhh and to think I will have many more blood draws in the year ahead..
amp77The initial testing is the worst part. After that, they don't take a lot at once. But you will feel like a pin cushion when all is said and done!

I am very thankful I had this site. I was quite active here for 2 and a half years. Life was generous to me and finally gave me succes :) My heart is still with all of you although you may see less of me here now.
amp77Congrats! :) We had success about a year ago and back on the rollercoaster to try for one more. Enjoy your little one!

kristeen033Congrats! We finally had success last year too and will probably hop back on the roller coaster again in the next year. My heart still aches for all those not so lucky yet. I know the feeling all too well :(

watch out for fraudsters pretending to be from CRA. Today I received a call pretending to be from CRA. They threatened if I don't pay their specified amount in the next 30 minutes, my case will go to court, and the police will contact me. They started with saying I have several charges against me and asked if the police had contacted me. Got me pretty worried about what all this was about till they said they want payment within 30 mins.
kristeen033Were they asking to be paid with itunes cards? I hear that is going around...though not sure how someone could be duped into thinking that the CRA would actually accept payment with them.

frostedlemonMy husband took a call from someone saying they were calling from I forget where but that his citizenship was in question. He has a last name that is a common Indian last name, so his whole life growing up his family got calls from long distance companies trying to sell them on long distance plans to cut down on their calls to family back in India. Anyway, he cut the guy off saying that it was obviously a scam because he's Canadian and his parents are Canadian, but now we wish that we had...

frostedlemon... listened to what the guy was trying to scam him with. Pay me and you won't get deported?

Lining check tomorrow!!! My bum is still purple and sore from the PIO from my last cycle, so I'm not sure whether I should go for progesterone in castor oil as the doctor suggested or whether I should ask for the suppositories (the doctor said that the suppositories would be 4 times a day!!!)
GraceMI would follow the dr suggestions to a "t" for on cycle and see how it got. He has a lot of experience.
Jun 20 2016 10:30 PM
CdnHockeyGalAgree with GraceM...they know what they're doing..I'd roll with it.
Jun 21 2016 12:31 PM
AMexicanInHamiltonI'll give the Castor Oil a try, but the nurse told me that I can switch to suppositories. I know they prefer PIO, but they have always told me that if that's too hard for me I can do suppositories...

It turns out that I am too old to stay up until 3am. Garth was worth it...but I think my biggest accomplishment today will be brushing my teeth.

6dp5dt (my 6th transfer) and hpt is negative...not even a hint of a line. I know it isn't over but I have a feeling I know how it will end. Still have 2 PGS normals so we will give them a try. Just wish this process was easier.
amazing graceSuch a difficult road........don't loose hope!
Jun 22 2016 08:44 AM
mountainchickAny news? Thinking of you! Did you hear back from your clinic if you can transfer next bleed if needed? Did you try neupogen this cycle?
Jun 23 2016 02:30 PM
waitingforbfpThanks all.....was negative as I figured. Nope mountainchick we didn't do neupogen....the cost was way too high :/

Could a guaranteed lupron-only trigger protocol be enough to have me hop on the donation train again? Maybe, just maybe ;)
Tess(sorry - comment got cut off) Nothing you've shared about the past 2 experiences has indicated you would be happy (or have a positive experience) with another ED retrieval.
Jun 20 2016 12:19 PM
Nerd4LifeHi Tess, thank you for your concern. Please rest assured that I am very capable of thinking through any potential future donations thoroughly and critically and am well aware of my medical history and the downsides to egg donation. I would not be considering another donation if it wasn't with the right doctor+protocol and the right IPs.

TessOHSS isn't the only danger for women who have a tendency to hyper-stim. At a greater risk for ovarian torsion & twising. That said, I'm sure you're more then capable of weighing the risk/reward analysis of the situation. All the best in your decision-making process & future experiences.

I had a hysterocopy on Saturday (I think I misspelled it so I apologize), my RE found scar tissue and ridges in my uterus that were apparently caused by the D/C last year. Just wondering why my previous saline infusion tests did not pick it up?
janny82Sometimes SIS doesn't show everything. I had a hysteroscopy after my second failed transfer just to see if anything was going on, and they removed 3 polyps that were never seen on the SIS.
Jun 17 2016 09:02 AM
PebblesMy saline infusion didn't show any scar issue after my m/c either (spontaneously m/c at 12w, took misprotol after to remove remaining tissue). Had 2 more failed IVFs. Hysteroscopy after clinic switch showed scar tissue which was removed. Good luck!
