Today's the day I've been waiting for..... My fet :)
farmgirl19Thanks everyone! They transferred a grade 17, it looked okay, some of the cells were dying but they said that can be normal. They said my embryos are sensitive to the freezing and thawing process. So hoping things go positive! :)

Husband just dropped a bombshell on me last night. When we eventually go in for our FET, and if the doctors recommend throwing 2 up in there, he's all for it. Knowing fully well that could mean coming home with a set. OF CHILDREN.
Bubby99Good luck meary!
Apr 18 2014 07:09 PM
VetterI threw 5-6 up there each of my 5 ivfs and nothing took... so 2? No big deal. Don't look for trouble (yet) where there isn't any.

I had FET yesterday at 1pm, didn't take antibiotics only Mendrol. I had cramping in the morning. Now I am having heavy cold symptoms: headache, sore body, no fever yet. Is that normal after transfer?
gibasgirlSorry you are under the weather. Everyone is different. The antibiotics are used as a precaution sometimes against infection from the procedure, but would not prevent a cold/flu.
The yucky feeling should pass soon.
FX for you.
Apr 18 2014 10:23 PM
Rachel007Thank you, gibasgirl! All the symptoms are nearly gone. Then I start to wonder if the body turned on the "defence" mode and rejected the outsiders including embryo. Never can worry less, sign!

i am freaking i just took my trigger shot 1/2 hour late...does it matter?
gibasgirlLet your clinic know. You should be ok. Late is probably better than early. The key is to retrieve before the follicles release the eggs.
All the best to you.
Apr 18 2014 12:05 AM
sharleneYou can always tell your doctor in the morning, but I don't think it will make any difference. I'm sure I took mine a half an hour or more late, too! Good luck!
Apr 18 2014 12:41 AM
nervus optmistI agree with the others. shouldn't have an impact but let the clinic know just to be safe. They might just adjust times, but probably not.
Apr 18 2014 04:32 PM
I SOOO want to post this on my FB, but I think it would be just a bit too pointed!
Ola1981that is a great article!!! I wish I had the nerve to post it to Facebook....

Belated birth announcement, but we welcomed our son, Charles Xavier, on March 21. What a way to celebrate the first day of Spring, even if the weather doesn't know it yet. Much love and hope to all on this journey. There is light!
ButterfliCongratulations on your lovely son! Welcome to the world lil man - what a great name!

Why can't I lose 30 lbs, like, by next week? safely? damn thyroid. Anyone else going grain free before starting another round?
mountainchickI have cut down on grains since they are hard for me to digest ( I have Hashimotos). I found that I bloated after eating grains after I did a liver cleanse after my fibroid surgery, especially after eating quinoa. I am not really trying to lose weight but I find eating less grains help my digestive system.
Apr 16 2014 10:18 PM
mountainchickI forgot to ask what your TSH level is? I dropped 10 pounds very quickly during my DE cycle when my TSH level was around 1
Apr 16 2014 10:20 PM
KarolinasmommyEver tried Keto? I did this for 4-5 months at the beginning of 2013 and it did me really well, both weight and fertility wise! Good luck! Thyroids make things so stubborn.

Here's what I learned today from an article in MacLean's magazine: I am a NoMo (the term for childless by circumstance), and a PANK (Professional Aunt No Kids) living in Mom-opia, a world where motherhood is the only natural way to be a woman.
RMadLooks like I'm there with you. I'm going to start calling myself a PANK.
Apr 17 2014 06:21 AM
gibasgirlThere's a blog I followed called theNotmom. Small world. I will look for the McLean's article.
