Oh, the holidays. Such a mix! (Not all sad - it's safe to read!)

It's so funny how a holiday can be such a mix of emotions.
Happy because we have amazing family and friends in our lives, and so much to be thankful for.
Sad because we could have been celebrating a "First Christmas," or preparing for the new year and a possible arrival. And sad because I miss my cat that we had to put down in June -- missing seeing him lying in a sunbeam.
It's been overwhelming, the mix of emotions. Happy and sad, happy then angry, happy and hopeful, then sad again.
I'm getting through it. We know that 2012 will have good things in store for us, and that there is still possibility to come. And this is part of the healing process.
My heart is slowly healing.
It's just a matter of being patient and working through it.
So instead of leaving this on a bummer toned note, I'll leave these two adorable thoughts with you.

Becks, in the window behind the tree

Guinness, trying to package himself for shipping... not sure to where..
Hugs to those who need and want them.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Here's hoping that possibility is there for us in 2012.
