I went by the lab this morning and had that "quad" or "triple screen" bloodwork done. Im not sure if it is quad screen or triple screen but it test for downs and a couple of other things. Im totally expecting it to come back "hot". Just because of my age. My doc has pretty much prepared me for it to come back hot. Then we will go ahead on and do the amnio. My doc will have to send us to Birmingham for that. Hopefully, I can schedule it for March 23. We are off work that day, I really dont want to take any days off unless absolutely necessary. My doc said that it would take a week for the results to come back. So, I wont know anything until my appt next Wednesday. Im in there every Wednesday anway, because I am on insulin. I even have my appts scheduled all the way thru May now.
DH and I got alot of stuff done in the house on Saturday. Actually, he did most of it. I am really happy. He wants the baby to have his star wars room because that is the only room in the house that the cats are trained to stay out of. So we are in the process of packing up all this star wars stuff and moving them into storage or into the computer room. He is going to move 2 bookcases into the computer room to hold his dungeons & dragons books. Then everything else will be packed up. He took all my shoes out of the computer room closet and vacuumed and organized them for me while I just sat there and pointed to stuff I wanted to throw away. We took the day bed down in the computer room and put in storage too. At first, I didnt really want to take the daybed down because I wanted my mom or mil to sleep on the daybed in case they wanted to spend the night when the baby got here. I talked to my mom about it and she said that she thought DH and I would be so excited that we wouldnt need anyone to spend the night with us, so that just convinced me to go ahead and take it down. I packed up all my beanie babies and put them away. If we have a girl, I can let her play with them later when she gets older. We have one more payment on the baby furniture and that is due on March 12. I think we might pay it on Saturday and then go ahead and pick up the furniture on SAturday. My DH is off again from his part-time job, so maybe we can finish up getting his room cleaned out. My neighbor is a professional painter and has volunteered to paint the babys room for us free of charge as a neighborly gesture!! Im thinking just paint it a light yellow. I am doing baby sesame street theme for the nursery. One look at baby big bird with a diaper on and I just fell in love with it!! It is so cute and all primary colors. I am tryin to keep a check on my excitement and not let it get to far out. Even though we are almost half way there, it is still not very real to me yet. My stomach seems to be gettin bigger by the day and some afternoons, I swear I am sittin here at work and look down and can see it gettin bigger and bigger. I have gained 20lbs so far but everyone says they cant realy tell it. I dont know if they are just saying that or not. I bought 2 pair of maternity pants at Target, Friday night. When I tried them on, I was like "omg these feel sooooooooo much better". I havent worn them yet, they are capri length and its still just a tad bit chilly to break them out but I cant wait. I am wearing maternity and maternity like shirts most of the week. I have a skirt that still fits and I have 2 pair of elastic waist band pants and that is pretty much it. I cant get into my size 12's anymore at all!! Not even try to squeeze in them. Everyone is telling me that I have the "glow". I have a mild headache most of the time now and some mild cramping, and back pain. Other than that, I am doing just great. Have not had one bit of morning sickness, which I am really thankful for.
Well I guess this is it for this update. I will update on Wednesday the 7th, after my doc appt. Thanx everyone for the comments. This is truly a miracle, DH and I didnt think we would ever get!!!
