I'll take them every time they occur!
Dad had a good day yesterday and hubbyman stated that Dad was very coherent, talking and smiling. Hubbyman was able to shave Dad with his electric shaver and Mum applied some cortisone cream to his body as he's been feeling itchy. I was thrilled to hear this last night. I am praying so hard and thanking God for this little hurdle crossed by Dad. I know that there will be good and bad days. We are just hoping that he can build up some energy and can get the radiation according to God's will. If not we are thrilled with each day that He blesses us with him.
Hubbyman will be coming home on Sunday on the bus, so the cats and I can expect him back on Thursday. I cannot wait! I know that he will be leaving with a heavy heart, however, I got his letter yesterday and it was so very sweet. He stated that his experience with Dad's illness has been very draining physically, emotionally and mentally. He's had days of reflection and believes that us moving to Ontario will be good in the long run. The last time we spoke to Mum and Dad before Dad got sick, I told hubbyman how much I miss them and that Ontario will always hold a special place in my heart since this is where I called home first when I arrived in Cananda 8 years ago. I also told him that I wanted us to go back and he agreed. Now we will soon make plans to move back.
Thrilled for Dad's day, in awe of the move of God and giddy that my hubbyman is coming home!
Blessings.

((BFK)) joining you in giving thanks for each blessing; for the good days, and the opportunities that your DH and MiL have been given to show their love and care for your FiL in these days. I know how important these little things will be in later memories.
So happy you will soon have DH back with you and yay! for deciding to move where your heart lies.
Fingers crossed for strength, peace, and love to surround you all!

You are so right to give thanks for the good days, and may there be many more of them.
