It doesn't matter what you say - it will probably make me angry

I have been isolating myself more and more from my closest friends. My own pain is so large, so much bigger than anything I can handle that it wipes out the possibility of me having any type of normal relationship right now. Not always, but a lot of the time.  That being said, there are a few of my friends that have been truly amazing. And of course I am thankful for all of them. But the truth of the matter is, if I do or I don't talk about my infertility, I am screwed either way. Talking about it leaves people either speechless or prone to the ubiquitous, oh you must be stressed out comment. And I'm supposed to explain to people how I feel? Well, okay friends, are you sure you're ready for it? Are you sure you're ready to validate this kind of suffering? If you're not, I don't blame you, because as a whole, our society doesn't either, so how in the world are you supposed to know that what I am going through is actually so traumatic that the very fact I am standing in front of you, able to speak, instead of laying in bed crying, is testament to my resilience? Do you really want to know I feel like I deserve a medal for being in the same room as you and your children? I don't think you do.
